According to our friends ITK, we were going to rue the day we turned down the Qatari billionaires. What happened to them buying an English club? What have they been up to since?

They discovered they would getter better value for money by wiping their arses with $100 bills for the rest of their days.

They've had some slight issues because UEFA became a bit interested in the idea of one group owning several clubs across Europe and I believe it rather put them off the idea of investing any further for the time being.

Weren't they told they wouldn't be allowed to have multiple clubs across different countries so are now just concentrating on PSG?

They've certainly spent money, albeit probably not particularly well. The test is to see if they stay interested in the long-run and if they keep investing when the novelty wears off. At the moment they are riding a wave on the back of their great league form and their good Champions League performances, but I think Europe will be a harder nut to crack than they expect.
