Not really.  Our scouting network doesn't seem set up to find and attract the Sambas and Nzonzis of this world.  Dominic Samuel is the level that less than Dack's fee gets you these days.  The market has moved on.

I'm not so sure mate... Only 3 seasons ago we had serious interest in Sandro Wagner who couldn't get into Hertha Berlin side... He's now banging em in at Bayern when he starts.

I've always maintained the German market is massively overlooked for value. The style of play is similar and the players (especially in Bundesliga 2) don't earn massive wages.

Impressive. I feel like I should have known this, I don't suppose he was firing them in when K&an was manager here was he? That f8cking rat made me ignore football for years.

    Disgusting excuse for a human...

On Pitman, 24 goals for a bang average league 1 side should tell us enough to know that he is far too good to messing about in league 1 whilst he has some good seasons left in him.

    Proven in League One?

And the champ... Got double figures in 3 seasons as well as double figures in 2/3 seasons in league 1. Bar injuries probably would have scored a lot more. He's one of the better more realistic signings we could have made IMO... I suppose it doesn't really fit in with TM vision of investing in players with potential resale value and Portsmouth would want a decent fee I imagine after last season but again... Proven quality.

Reading a couple of city articles, the lad has played the number 9 role throughout his youth career.  Described as able to hold the ball up and pacy.  Scored the winner in the under 19 Euro finals this year.    Could be a good loan.

Still want some permanent players though including at least 1 winger.

Aye but that doesn't make him a capable centre forward at this level, it's a complete gamble. We need some proven up depth up there, which is why I suggested Pitman, scored 24 goals for Portsmouth last season and mustnt be on mega money there either.

  5. Hardly surprising Rothwell looked our better player, as he was signed based on how he gave us a hard time but considering how he and Palmer are attacking mids and Samuel is being player wide... We're literally going into this season with one 33 year old centre forward who can't play 90 mins. Mowbray needs to get someone in ASAP.

Dack will be worth £20mil - if he keeps the weight off.   Had to laugh at the Scouse 'Fat Messi' comments.

Don't think you'll need to worry bout that under Mowbray. Reminds me a bit of Tomlin, also has buckets of talent, can be a match winner but chunky build.

It's a good question and ive thought about it and honestly don't know. I think I would have to watch more of richarlison before I made a decision but on last nights showing probably dack

Hard to judge because they've played at different levels. I've watched Richarlison... In my opinion Dack would be better value for money. Convinced Dack could play for a top side.

Sims would fit the profile. Question mark whether they would loan him since he's been used as an impact sub. However they bought Elynoussi this summer, and might consider a loan would be beneficial.

It would be a coup, still doubt they would let him go but perhaps they're looking at it thinking he needs a full season under his belt at this stage in his career.
