Seriously what next? As fans now what is the answer. The Raos genuinely think as a supporter base we are happy.
This board of directors has had the easiest of times ever in 5 years.
An apology, an excuse for their actions from the majority of attending supporters or those who see them.
I'd like to think todays latest fiasco will turn the tide and we as supporters start holding them accountable, but i still cant see where that fight is coming from?

Can we put a fan statement out to the Owners basically saying these errors have cost the club premiership status and a huge financial windfall and somebody needs holding accountable?
No one is holding them accountable, even now on other forms of social media people are still defending the loons

One of my theories is that we were entirely caught out by the sudden possibility of O'Brien coming here. It was something that we never seriously thought would happen, so when it became a realistic prospect certain forces ensured that it would not be allowed to go through.
Now call me a mad conspiracy theorist but it makes sense to a point.
It was obviously something that came about very much at the 11th hour and hadn't been on the radar earlier in the window. Supposedly we were behind Sheff Utd and WBA in the queue so probably didn't expect both of them to fall by the wayside. Then Forest are content to send him here all of a sudden and the player is willing to get game time. Sudden panic. Here we are having to make good on our talk, actually deliver for once and get an expensive deal over the line.
Despite everything falling into place for bizarre reasons we suddenly forget (having completed dozens of loans over the years) how to complete a registration.
It might not sit easy with people but I wouldn't be surprised that with Broughton having done the leg work and got the deal done 'other forces' intervened to prevent it going through. Lo and behold we don't have to commit to substantial wages for the next 6 months.
Those expecting an explanation or apology from the Club need to lower their expectations. We will, if lucky, get a Club media or Telegraph filtered interview with Broughton being made into the fall guy.
I don't blame him - why? - because we've been putting up with these shenanigans every January for the last decade.
How do we explain the Rochdale lad not being signed?

Here is a story which goes back to 2012.
A gentleman by the name of Jack Mcleod made contact with me whilst I was the chair of the action group.
He was quite a unique person in that he was the youngest person to ever become a shareholder of the club, and when he made contact was also the oldest living supporter who still had shares.
His Father in the early part of the last century had been chair of the supporters group.
As a person he was well decorated with achievements ranging from the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002, the british defence medal in 1945 to over 50 globally recognised achievements of the highest order.
Having got ill, he decided he wanted to donate his shareholding to the action group, as he wanted to support the supporters in anyway he could.
He wrote a letter to Ian Silvestor initially as they hadnt sent him the shareholders report. However he also made it clear his wishes to transfer ownership of his shares. As part of his letter he instructed the club that the action group secretary would be acting on his behalf in the UK as he now lived in Canada.
What he got back was Silvestor saying if he gave the shares to the action group, then the club will not recognise his shareholding and recind its existence. However Silvestor went one step further; he wrote a letter to tell Mr Mcleod that he needs to write a letter back to the club and include the attached paragraphs clearly stating he is not going to transfer them to the Action group.
This correspondence which I have it all, is shocking to read. The club knew he was elderly, but continued to threaten him until he he finally could fight no more and bowed to these demands.
This is our club secretary, I wasnt going to share this but as someone contacted me on twitter claiming he is the most hardworking guy, i couldn't let people think he is a victim of thr web.
He is a horrible person as his emails which I can provide but wont post on BRFCS paint exactly the type of man he is.

Whatever the issue is on two players, be that forgot to send something, failed to agree something, didnt sign something, sent something late.
We knew the deadline,
This sadly whatever the reason is from our part is a direct result of having the wrong people in the boardroom, amateurs the lot of them.
Deadline day is exactly that, the last day to get deals done. However its not the only day, there was plenty of days prior to Tuesday.
We are not exactly filing 1000's of documents , we are transferring a players registration as a loan, with an obligation to buy should we get promoted. That last bit, is not really relevant in terms of the registration, as it may not happen. Thats more of a legal agreement between the two clubs. The wages etc, again i would not expect that to be disclosed under data protection to the EFL. We do our reporting under FFP as an annual submission with collective values.
I can see they are doing overtime at Rovers to find a plausible excuse to feed the supporters, if these dont happen or indeed if they do happen.
I aint eating their crap, some may, but the clubs form suggest, we have cocked up

Ian Sylvestor is responsible for player registrations, he was also responsible for the "fax machine fiasco"
Sylvestor strangely enough brought in during the Anderson regime continues to go under the Radar and on numerous occassions peddled the line "i just do as im told".
Lets take a look at his roll of honour.
1. Applied for work permits for staff, covered up the fact that Shaw hid the said permits, which left us running with a skeleton medical crew for 3 months. (Have evidence and testimony to support)
2. Leaked transfer information to 3rd party agents and player contract information of existing players. 'Have emails, text and testimony to support"
3. Threatened a shareholder that the club would recind his shareholding if he transfered ownership of the said shares to a supporter group. These threats in which i have all the letters are incredible reading.
Sylvestor is in a unique position that he can stop any transfer, if the agenda dont suit.
He was placed in the club by SEM (strange he is still there and holds significant influence on things like transfer deadline day)
I ask of anyone engaging with these clowns, to do their homework, investigate fully and continue to hold these people accountable

Yes, posted on this the couple of weeks ago,
Bar them starting the onerovers fund (an initiative i put to the club, and also got the B & D Council to back it in advance) it was a complete waste of time

There have been claims on here that any item of expenditure in excess of £5000 has to be referred to India. With respect, that doesn't sound like full autonomy to run the club.
I can only write what came out the horses mouth.
Venkys dont fill in transfer papers,
They have a lot to answer, but pointing the finger on then for this latest episode is not where the anger should lie, despite them appointing these clowns

We've already had one public court case with Shaw over incompetence.
They wouldn't think twice about making it two public cases

If and its a big if, these deals don't happen due to further incompetence within the board room, then sack the board needs to start ringing loud and clear.
Thats potentially a £200 million pound fuck up, if we do not go up or at least maintain our current position.
its unforgiveable to be honest.
Its not the first time our mismanagement has cost us players.
Football is a multi billion pound industry and if we cannot do the basics which the other 91 clubs can, then its time to call it a day

Season tickets are the number one factor and they obviously have Horwich and area on their doorstep where they now monopolise support.
One of the biggest things for them now is the amount they draw from Chorley especially amongst the youth. The club recognised all the support on their doorstep coupled with their rebirth and piped into the feel good factor.
All our lot do is increase prices there was a similar feel good factor after league 1 promotion but they did nothing.
Won't increase those values from behind their desk or the lethargic attempts of looking no further than a 2 mile radius. A point I made to SW, when they threw in that different genders is part of their new USP Rather than catchment area

Lost interest in the main, the football is dire and i cannot relate with the club or its management team.
However i have friends i only see at football, so will look for my season ticket at some point this month (cant remember where i put it) and drag myself there for the first time since i went the Burnley game against Wigan.
Not sure if the mid season break impacted things, or the second meeting with Waggott where i realised all hopes I clinged to were lost, and like the Ex Wife, i just dont know this club anymore.

Glen just didn't drink the coffee this time that's all.
Didnt drink it first time lol.
However, on self-evaluation, maybe i've lost my edge, maybe the empathy and complete lack of fight i've seen over the last 5 years has taken its toll on how far i will go nowadays especially with my own health not the best.
10 years ago , 365 days , 20 hours a day, travelling thousands of miles, investing £1000's of pounds and having a clear mandate as an elected chair of a group, i had a mandate and duty to find the truth no matter what and fight for what was right. I just do not see that now within the supporter base in the main. 99% are very much reactive to results and couldnt care less about the Venkys or who is in the boardroom.
I will always fight the "good fight" if there is one to fight. I just don't see the desire from the majority, which in turn is the drug which lights the fire in my belly, to risk anymore than what I've previously given up.
I will go back to watching from afar and hopefully someone will rise from the ashes and give us all something to get behind, to get our club back

Thanks for your responses. I'm really glad you went to the second meeting so you could get to see through the failed football agent conman.
These past years have sadly made me ultra cynical about most things Rovers so it is refreshing to see your detailed review.
At work, we always hold a second interview when recruiting for this very reason. We do an initial evaluation and then invite back the candidates who have impressed. Our train of thought quite often changes second time around.

Is it a case of him seeing though his bullshit this time around. I have never met him and never will, bill do not get the impression we gave anyone but a wage thief at the club.
It was more of seeing a girl in a room striking up a conversation, and agreeing to go on a date.
Whilst on the date, your inner self deciding straight away "big mistake"
I'd done the sizing in the first encounter, took stock, given him a little too much credit and once i'd regrouped my thoughts attended a second meeting, where the inaccuracies from the first meeting shone through like the best summer day i'd seen, it was blatantly obvious that even engaging was a mistake

Yes I'm in line with the latest opinion.
Putting Swag above the Williams regime had been sticking in my throat quite a bit.
100% never put swag above Williams et al, even from meeting one, he didn't come across of having those qualities.
My wording reading it back is not the best.
Personable he came across well first meeting, which John didn't always.
However we are talking a rolls royce with Williams, and A Nissan Micra with Waggott; in terms of acumen, understanding and actually seeing further than his own nose

I was about to say the same, a remarkable u turn by Glen, as he seemed to be of the view the Club were lucky to have Waggott after their first meeting. I do concur with his latter view as opposed to the initial one however.
I didnt think we were lucky first time around, i just thought at that time he appeared better than the bad bunch before, and took hope that he had the autonomy to make decisions.
Glad i went the second time, but equally disappointed my hopes were dashed.

Well that's was one hell of a change from
"Steve Waggott in person is not the same Steve Waggott we've heard in interviews, his passion, knowledge and general persona is probably the best I've seen from anyone within the club in my time, and that includes the Williams Regime. Although I'm only 5% through my questions for him, which I will pick up again in September, I can tell from my first meeting that my position/opinion on him prior to meeting him, has changed somewhat. I have been involved in lots of these type of meetings, and I don't go easy on people. I actually told him, this Steve Waggott is actually quite marketable. I can understand why many after meeting him are jumping to his defence, because I actually think with the right approach, he could become one of the most influential people the club ever has. There is evidently lots of work to do to rebuild, and a lot more questions I need to ask, but early signs I think are good for all of us"
Good though that there was a second meeting.
I know i said i wouldn't post, but this is a great point.
Face value, first meeting and not all the questions asked which I wanted to. I did get a different feel in the first meeting, and if anything probably posted on here too soon, with the intention not to miss out what was said.
It was crucial to me, that due to a second meeting pending, i also kept my powder dry somewhat as I'd made it abundantly clear i'd post on here what was said.
In hindsight, i'm most disappointed in myself to have potentially given him too much credit from my first post.
It is clear he is making the decisions, but also clear as i've posted so many times over the last few years that he is judged on the financials and whatever it takes he will ensure that those numbers are hit to keep himself in favour.
There is a lot to take in when you attend these meetings, especially when you are not sat writing minutes and are going to report back.
I'm glad i went back for the second meeting, as it allowed me to focus a little more (the first meeting i'd never met the guy before and wanted to try and be open minded)
My opinion is very much what I posted today, and I'm disappointed not to be able to write it was all good, and also if I mis-lead anyone with my opening opinion.
A little like the manager, we are entitled to change our opinion if new information, facts become apparent.

Sorry I have not had chance to update here, been very busy.
The second meeting happened,
Key points i guess - I suggested a community/benevolent fund, which could work in conjunction with the community trust, and could be funded through various events etc. Not one of those funds which gives money to various groups i.e scout huts , but one which can help the vulnerable which is not linked to the benefits system. Rovers announced the One Rovers community fund in December in some guise, how its taken forward and managed, and if the opportunity is grasped correctly only time will tell.
We discussed the maintenance of the ground/pitch, and the 100k or so on the washing of the steel carried on the main stands etc. He seemed quite proud of this investment, until i pointed out it was peanuts and if anything given my own engineering background I found it rather insulting that was deemed adequate maintenance for a football club looking to generate income, by opting not to spend some.
He spent a lot of time, name dropping local people, MPS, Wayne Wild, the people he had been meeting.
I said before I went some months ago if I felt it was another smuck, and a pointless exercise then i would walk away from getting involved in discussions. My time is far too precious.
I stated to him in our first meeting that I stepped away 5 years ago from meeting with them, as my job was done. The bad guys were gone, the story was in the public domain, and I had shared our story with all the authorities, supporter base and world, Fulfilling the mandate i was set by the group I was democratically elected to represent.
With a new administration, i decided it was best to watch from afar to give the club its best chance to rebuild.
I was most disappointed to be back there, as they have learnt nothing and the current administration appears to have been given quite a free ride. I stated that what they take as victories of how far they have come, is not really a complete picture. We just stopped putting pressure on them by turning of the tap, and holding them accountable publically.
20 minutes into the second meeting my instinct was telling me, "Glen walk away from this, this guy has convinced so many, his name dropping is astounding, he has people eating candy from his hands, and we have now gone from the days of a boardroom looking to profit from the clubs demise, to having various people in the community doing the same.
There was also a deep duscussion surrounding an idea I had regarding a "Jack Walker day" in the close season
The meeting continued, and ended with him wanting me to write a further agenda to have further discussions with their commercial team surrounding commercial opportunities and possible revenue streams for the club.
I left the meeting, got in my car, and decided I would not make further contact, as I'd seen right through him. There is zero chance, I can hold meetings with anyone unless I feel its in the best interest of the club and supporter base. I've never sold anyone down the river and in particular in my time in seeking a well run club. I'm not easily manipulated and don't do bullshit, cuddling up, or seek something for my own one-self.
Its clear this is not the case with so many, as he was a good a chucking peoples agendas/names under the bus.
Im sorry the news is not better, and have considered for a long time, should I even post what i heard and saw.
My biggest regret is standing down 5/6 years ago, entrusting others to take forwards a rebuild, once we got rid of the corruption. If anything its created a bigger monster, an incompetence, a mediocrity a club no longer held accountable, and that much feathering of others nest; that people have forgotten what the fight/mission was about.
Its alarming that Steve Waggot himself didnt know supporters had been to the authorities and it was I who personally delivered the supporter bill along side Jack Straw, Graham Jones and Jake Berry, for a fan lead review into football by the goverment 8 years previously which is the very mandate he is now discussing with others. That bill was accepted at that time by the sports minister Robertson who instigated the change in governance review of the Premier league, Football league. This is something I'm extremely proud of, and something which continued during my time as an elected board member if the National Council of the FSF.
From an off the field perspective, it would be my suggestion that this current set up, is probably on a par with Paul Hunts, but just better at playing the pied piper to those who give it the time of day.
I wont post anything more on the matter, and despite the willingness/request of the club, I will not be attending another one of these meetings, and i'm sorry to those without insight that my findings is not better news.

I'm a season ticket holder, but so disillusioned with the whole thing. Missed the last few homes games, and aint decided if i'm going tomorrow yet.
I cannot recall a time in my life in over 40 years, where my ticket has been left in the drawer.
We can point to being 3rd in the table and think there is so much to be excited about.
Then i look at the 12 defeats, winning and losing is part and parcel of football.
However the product is drab, the football is shite, the gameplan if we have one is predictable to the opposition.
The manager bores the pants off me too.
Pre JDT it was a project, on a journey, x amount of windows etc, young players, other teams have bigger budgets. Heard it every week.
Now under JDT the same old lines, a project, budgets, young players etc.
Lets be under no illusions, this manager has been backed with serious money in terms of what we have spent in the 3 seasons prior.
He has not had to sell anyone and recycle funds, and being 3rd at this stage has things very much in our own hands.
However i find the whole rovers experience right now boring and easier to watch on the TV.
We've had some poor managers previously but none of them ever had me thinking i'm not going.
Window opens tomorrow, and I wouldnt give him a dime.
I want to see our manager kick every ball with the team', be on that touchline living and breathing the passion.
His cheeky smile, and boy next door persona in interviews aint enough for me.
My opinion probably different to most, but its an opinion which i cannt see changing soon.
Hope everyone has a lovely new year and prosperous 2023,

Can't argue with any of that bud
