  1. That's true about CoD 4 tombro, it really was a great game but my god it has been done to death now. I'm absolutely sick of them. Assassins Creed is in the same boat (though the second game was the best imo).

They certainly know how to get people hooked on these CoD games, what with all these bells and whistles they add onto the multiplayer that are pretty pointless and mean nothing (ribbons and tags and such) so much so many a game followed suit and used the same techniques. Not saying CoD started it all but I think developers saw how successful it can be through the CoD series, in getting people hooked.

  2. playing The Walking Dead, but honestly i wish it was more based on the tv series. also doing NHL which is good fun , even though i play it as a football game lol

At least it's actually better than the game they released which was based (kind of) on the TV series, that game is one of the worst games I've ever played.

  3. http://int.soccerway.com/national/korea-republic/k-league-classic/2013/championship-round/r20386/That link was to the botton half of the league. It splits into two now at the half way point of the season. here is the situation at the top.http://int.soccerway.com/national/korea-republic/k-league-classic/2013/championship-round/r20386/

We are 9 hours ahead here on the peninsula so kick off will be 5am Sunday in the UK.

Well the Korean team I like is bottom of the league I've just discovered!

  4. Anyone tried Wagamama? Went to the one at Cheshire oaks today, total carp...no authenticity whatsoever....bland bland, had to smother my soba in soy sauce to get any flavour out of it....not a patch on tampopo or chaophrya for the old far eastern cuisine.

I'm with you on that one sparky, went once about four years ago and I wasn't impressed enough to go back. Like you say it's the authenticity of the place it just feels like a run of the mill identikit westernised East Asian restaurant. The food is nothing special. It's very 'in' to like Wagamama at the moment though.

  5. DM, is that the Clive Anderson-chaired improv show? There were a few series of it as a radio show too, appears as repeats on 4Extra every few months. If interested, keep an eye on the radio iplayer.

Yes that's the one, only it's since moved to America with an American presenter.

Didn't know they did some stuff on the radio as well, cheers for that I'll have a look out for it.

  6. Just a heads up for anyone interested, one of my favourites of all time has returned to television, Whose Line is it Anyway? Only found out by chance so I thought I would pass it on in case there any fans that frequent these boards.

I know it's not exactly considered a big programme or anything and as I didn't feel it was worthy to start a thread I thought I would put it here.

  7. Yeah, that's the first bad review I've heard tbh. Every time I've been, and everyone I know that's been has loved it.

That's the only reason that I've not written it off and I will give it another go....but man that lamb was tough. Also for a sauce that has ghost chillies in it, it was surprisingly mild.

  8. Went to Anar Kali last night and I wasn't very impressed. Chicken chat to start was ok and the service was pretty good, but my lamb main was average at best. Had the naga bahar special and the lamb was as tough as old boots.

Place was absolutely rammed though so they must be doing something right. Maybe mine was just a one off?

  9. Oakleys pizzeria is also really good in Skipton, the biggest calzone I've ever seen.... Two for one (or something to that effect) before a certain time which escapes me now.

A fantastic little pub across the ginnel as well which I believe is in the good pub and/or beer guide.

  10. I've heard that's nice, I was supposed to be going about a month ago but it never came off. I usually end up going to Anaz, Akash or Raj when it comes to places in the local area, just fancied something a bit different this time.

Like everyone at work keeps telling me to go Maida (sp?) but I've just never got round to it.

  11. Impressed with Yu & You, thought the food was fantastic. Monkfish and prawn wontons were superb and had lobster for main, suppose you can't really go wrong with lobster though.

The only possible downside I could say is the service, however good it was, perhaps was a little too prompt, although I will put that down to the fact it wasn't very busy. Oh and the fact they had A LOT of waiters/waitresses.

On Saturday went to Miller & Carter steakhouse on Liverpool docks (on a stag do, had to miss the game) and was thoroughly impressed with there also. Really nice setting on the docks and there was a nice vibe about the place. I would expect my steak to be cooked perfectly at a place that does them day in day out and thankfully it was.

Would recommend these places and would return to both.

  12. It's quality as many have said on here. BUT why did you go if you didn't expect it to be very good? Especially so given the choice in and around this area?

The missus really wanted to go, she's been on about it for ages. I still expected it to be decent I guess, would definitely go again anyway.
