  1. I've been about four times, enjoyed it each time. There was one issue with some sticky rice that was beyond cooked, I believe it had been microwaved personally. Waitress was rude about it and the manager struck it off the bill through gritted teeth. Trust me it was inedible, the first and only time I have ever complained at a restaurant. The rest of the food was great, as per.

They have special tables where you are sat on floor level, you have to specifically ask for one of those though.

They run another Thai restaurant in Manchester at Spinningfields called Thai Khun. That was good too, though preferred Chaopraya.

My personal favourite is pad grapow, think it's called Thai basil chicken or something.

  2. Not seen it yet so hope to catch up on it this weekend.

The Smith v Fielding fight could be an interesting one, can't see past Smith myself but may be a tough one for him.

Did you end up watching it? Absolute relentless pressure, great to watch.

I'm with you on Smith too, will be a close fight but I think he edges it.

There's talk of Ward/Kovalev in the future, what with his next fight being at light heavyweight and all. Wouldn't mind that fight at all. Hopefully Sergey can catch him flush a few times, big if though, when it comes to laying the leather on Ward.

  3. Saw The Martian the other day. Really good, if a little long, but it builds to a fantastically dramatic ending. Best film I've seen for a while.

Worth reading the book first? My dad lent me the book so don't know whether to wait as I'm into Schwarzeneggers autobiography at the moment and I've had one about Jerome Caminada earmarked for ages too. Looks a good film so might just watch it.

  4. Its a ridiculous over simplification to even consider the improvement as a sole result of that. Besides, Fulham away was the initial game we improved yet lost- Spurr played that game.

Potentially down to a few more things than that? Like maybe something to do with the bloke who didn't score in those 5 first games?

It's a fashionable assumption on here that we have "undroppable" players but I don't buy this favorites malarkey.

Why did he go out and get akpan and Guthrie if he saw Lowe as undroppable?

A well thought out and balanced post, for much I agree with by the way. Certainly helps that Rhodes has started scoring. It also helps that the cm's get their head up and have been showing more dynamism and looked more comfortable with the ball at their feet.

On your last sentence, although I'm not entirely disagreeing with you, as in theory I actually hope it's true, I will say this; Paul Taylor, Liam Feeney, Chris Brown, Luke Varney, Ousmane Dabo, Yann Songo'o.

We can't say one way or the other if they were brought in to replace Lowe, though Lowe has been selected over both of them whenever he's been available for selection this season. Hopefully that's just down to the others not being match fit.

  5. For anybody interested, I have set up a Youtube channel where I look at different games.

The first one I have done is for Pro Evo 2016 and the playlist can be found at:

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXBp5APL5E37xuaJ_pvIP_c16plIwAY_X

I look at MyClub, Master League, editing and a few more things.

Good game this year, spoilt by dodgy keepers online.

Edit: Found out the online keeper thing is actually a bug, and it is setting them to regular difficulty instead of Superstar. Should be fixed in an update.

I wish you could import the real kits onto Xbox One.

  6. This is the best possible scenario for the football club as it stands, we'd buy season tickets tomorrow if this happened as I'm sure would many.

What really baffles me is the constant line that Venkys are going to 'make things right' because they got sold a 'pup', if you believe that you'll also believe they're buying Phil Nevilles house in Bromley Cross  and paying for the flights of fans that made their own way over for the game in Pune, and buying everyone a pie a Wolves

Look its quite simple, if I was a billionaire looking to save face and get a few quid back:

    1) I'd move Bowyer in to the backroom and bring a manager in on a contact with incentives to get us promoted, even Allardyce, whatevers best for the football club

    2) I'd sack Shaw and make Tom Finn and John Williams offers they couldn't refuse, if that failed I'd go after the best possible options on the market.

    3) I'd give all current season ticket holders free season tickets next season and let the Blackburn public into Ewood for the rest of this season for free, lets all pull together.

    4) I'd sell Rhodes to get us out of embargo, loan structured deal to Boro maybe and splash the cash in January if exiting from embargo is possible. If not possible this season then we'll do it next.

    5) Marketing campaign to get the feel good factor back, tell the fans I mean business, lets pull together.

Venkys could do this very very easily, they'd have sky money coming through the door in less than 3yrs, guaranteed, but they won't, why won't they?

Nothing is guaranteed in football, except the guarantee that Allardyce would never come back here.
