  1. It's been reported over here that it's £15 million cash and Obafemi valued at £6 million. It's been done in a funny way though, so I don't think anyone fully knows
  2. Oh are there not? He's a proven Premier League player is he? Must have missed that season.
  3. Ability- A quick look on their forum shows their views are mixed. So you're incorrect to say they aren't bothered. Career- he's 21 years old. Had scored in the premier league by the time he was 18. What's your own career stats? Lol Fitness- Yes, he's had injuries. Still he's 21. Im guessing it makes you feel like a big man attacking a 21 year old. You have form, from behind your keyboard. I've already said why he would be good. As have others. People who have watched him play. You haven't. Your opinion is irrelevant and you're embarrassing by continuing to involve yourself in the discussion. Do some research and then come back. People will respect your view then. A bit more anyway. Who would your suggested signing be? This should be good....
  4. We have far better players and you don't know what budget Luton have. We are a more attractive option than Luton.
  5. I'm not even going to respond what have we got to offer above Luton. It's fairly obvious. I'm sure Jones would have relished the budget and time Mowbray has gotten for the last 3 seasons.
  6. So the club only wanted to speak to those 4 managers , nobody else and when they all rejected us, we said let's just stop looking now All righty then 🙄
  7. There is no way Nathan Jones would turn the job down if offered it This is just fans who claimed to be ITK scrambling desperately to cover their tracks because Mowbray didn't go during the summer after they told us it was a cert
  8. Well we will be paying a fee ,as he is under contract. Teams don't just give players away. Nobody is making the case that him being an Ireland international counts for anything. You checked his wiki and are now claiming to be some kind of expert ,running the rule on his ability, career and fitness without ever seen him play. It's actually embarassing.
  9. It's vague on what professionalism,or lack thereof means. Drinking, not eating right, just not training. Hard to know..could be case that he's one of these young lads who let it go to their heads. A fresh start could be good. He's only 21
  10. He is. Let's see if he is next season. There are huge question marks over Raya
  11. 4 managers rejected us? Sounds like nonsense to me. More people wanting to be ITK and clinging on to anything to make out they were right during the summer
  12. There was a huge rush to call Obafemi up to the senior Ireland squad. Wanted to avoid a Gealish and Rice scenario. There was interest from England and Nigeria. Reading the Southampton forums there. Some saying he's worth more than £6 million, some saying they don't care that he's leaving. In today's market, he is worth a go at that price for sure.
  13. Isn't there always question marks over whether a striker can get a decent number of goals over a season? He wouldn't be unique in that regard. Same will be said of Armstrong . I agree about the raw with good assets part. He definitely has something about him and I believe he's better than anyone we would sign for a fee this window. I haven't heard anything about him being unprofessional to be honest. Did they go into details? There was a bit of a falling out with Kenny ,the Ireland manager. Seems he wasn't happy been told to go back to the under 21s. A lot of people were surprised by that as we have very poor strikers at the minute and Obafemi looks promising. I don't really like Kenny though. I think he's way out of his depth, so I wouldn't take too much from that with regards Obafemis attitude or professionalism. All expectations were that he would be with the senior team.
  14. Yes. He's strong, stocky and fast. When he came on the scene first , Arsenal and United were linked. He has scored a Premier League goal at 18 years old For all those ITKs 🙄 questioning his talent, fitness and ability without having ever seen him play. I am excited about this signing.
  15. No issues with people having views and opinions when they have actually watched a player. When they haven't, it comes accross as really , really stupid.
  16. He is at times. As an impact sub, I could see why Brentford would be interested
  17. God I really hope Rothwell doesn't leave. He looked great at the weekend. If Brentford are sniffing though...... Has he only a year left and well?
  18. That's a great deal imo ,under the circumstances
  19. "A crock" what a nasty sod. Here's a revolutionary idea, watch a player before running them into the ground. Giving your moronic views on players you haven't watched, comes across pretty silly.
  20. No, he wasn't. He started most games and I'm sure he credits a lot of where he is now to Mowbray for giving him the opportunity last season. When he dropped him it was after he f**ked and cost us a goal. It was the right decision at the time. I will be surprised if he replaces Wijnaldum , but let's see
  21. Unfortunately, that's where we are at. As Mowbray said in that interview, if he had 3 years left it would cost £25 million to sign him.
  22. I would definitely take Elliott back if the opportunity arose. I wonder what's happening there?
  23. Anyone who thinks Armstrong staying with 1 year left is a good idea, needs to think if they honestly believe he will be giving 100%. Never mind if he gets a bad injury, even niggely ones, is he going to come back and give 100% knowing he's free to sign for whoever in a few months. I mean be realistic
