Summer transfer window 2021.
Bigdoggsteel replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
All this talk of Wilder, don't forget he signed Rhian Brewster for £23 million pounds. We signed Shearer, Sutton, Roque Santa Cruz, Benni McCarthy , Yorke and Cole for less than 1 Rhian Brewster. Game is gone! -

You are. You're saying we played the worst football in 50 years last season and Joe gave an easy and most recent example of manager who played worse football Unless you're saying the football was better under Coyle? -

How much is enough? If he does well this season it will be interesting to see where he ends up. I think he will continue to manage -

What do you think? He's not being paid £10 million a season here and managers who are paid that continue to work. -

I understand, don't worry. You're sensitivity suggeats you don't and that's fine. It's not "nit picking" to say your suggestion that he is actively sabotaging the next manager is nonsense and crazy. -

You're using the wrong word, bitterness? It doesn't make sense. What has he blamed fans for actually out of interest? Again, bitterness doesn't make sense in the context of his comments on Raya or Nyambe You're missing the hugely crucial point that he needs to get another job after leaving here, so doing as good as he can this season is totally in his interest. Hence why talk of sabotage is crazy! -

Bitterness? No, not that I have noticed. Your point that he is actively plotting to sabotage the next manager is bonkers, do you need me to elaborate further? I don't think the majority need elaboration, the comment speaks for itself. -

Crazy talk -
Ah stop with the nit picking pedantry. It was a beautiful ball with the outside of his foot, that made it to Brereton. Your example of the shot makes no sense. It's like an amazing shot going in in top corner, but you saying it was lucky because the keeper didn't save it.

Ah ya, we definitely need to get the striker on a permanent. It's not that much to ask! -

I wouldn't see the issue with signing those 2 using 2 spaces. We are going to be playing a high energy pressing game, we are going to need fit runners in those positions -

I wonder how their fanbase would react to that 🤔 -

I would be surprised if he survives another defeat or two, but who do they go for? On paper he appeared a great choice. -
He was a fine player! Under Sparky wasn't it?

"Strawman argument" My god, calm down. It wasn't even an argument 🤣 My point was simply that he needs time to settle, which I'm glad to see that, eventually, you got around to agreeing with 😀

Sheffield United were in for him and I bet when he leaves he goes to a club at the top of the table. I'll remember this conversation 🙂 -
He couldn't have predicted the keeper would have come that far and if he hadn't, it would have landed on Breretons toe. Beautiful pass.

He has stuff he could improve, but he wins a lot of headers and dirty stuff that someone has to do. I think playing with Ayala will help him a lot. -

Not sure I agree fully. I take your points on his limitations, but he is growing into a leader, wins a lot of dirty stuff and he is passionate about the club and the fans. Losing him would be very bad imo. I think he's good enough to play for a team near the top. -
I think people need to cut Pickering a break. It's a huge step up and he's a young lad still learning. He would never have faced players of the calibre he did yesterday. I would prefer him there rather than a another washed up loan. Great set piece delivery against Milwall. We aren't going out and signing Andy Robertson or Luke Shaw. Loved Breretons goal yesterday, some burst by him and what a delectable ball by Clarkson. There is fight in this team and I'm getting exciting for what this season may bring, compared to what I thought before it started.

Rothwell annoys me. I can't help but feel his new found , somewhat, consistency is because he sniffs a move.

2 of the worst times to concede. WBA are going to walk the league though. The crucial thing is no injuries in this game and how we bounce back
-
We rarely get them

I think it would have been a good move for him. He could easily move somewhere now that he won't get a look in -

He obviously felt he didn't need to. He knows the important stuff, midtable championship team who will offer him a certain level of wages and is based in Blackburn. That's clearly didn't work for him. So why meet the manager?
