Signing someone for 1 million doesn't automatically mean they will be twice as good as someone signed for 500,000...... All good teams have 2 players competing for each position. I see no issue with the deals

Nah, I think the Nyambe thing is one of those narratives that just becomes gospel, without it being true. Like that Mowbray favours 3 at the back, when in reality we have started maybe 3 games max with that as the formation, in 5 years. I suppose it makes no difference to the players whether they sign now or in January, so they are weighing up their options. It happens at most clubs these days. Not great, but what can you do.

I think the issues with this are above Mowbray. I wouldn't imagine we have a stellar negotiating team when it comes to deals. If anything it seems talking to Mowbray is what makes players decide to come in many instances

They are all mercanaries at the end of the day, so I don't really care once a good player signs. We have players under contract at the club currently, who probably don't want to be there.

Obafemi on loan anywhere doesn't really add up if he is out of contract in a year. Serious potential there, so hopefully it's a permanent deal.

I don't buy this stuff that Nyambe was treated badly. He starts the vast majority of games he is fit and he does have things he needs to work on. The players just realise they could get better deals elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if Nyambe, Lenihan and Brereton all sign new deals eventually

You couldn't even say why the ones you suggested were any good. Armstrong came from a PL team. He played mostly on the wing before the last 2 seasons anyway. We need a CF now. So the only criteria should be who will score the most. I don't know why they have scouted him,or if the links are even true, but that's what the papers said.
