  1. £3.9 million fee I have read, so I would be surprised
  2. No idea what point you're trying to make, but it's pretty tasteless
  3. Based on his ability as a footballer. I never claimed to know, unlike you who constantly makes out you have some inside track or telapathy to know the inner workings. As was shown with your flip flopping over the recruitment department, you haven't a Scoobie doo. The players you suggested are hypothetical and as such, pretty pointless when it comes to discussing them. Particularly as you know little about them yourself. I prefer to deal in the reality of who we might actually sign.
  4. Cunningham was decent, the manager can't prevent players getting injured. Didn't happen for Douglas, but again, not a bad player. Bit early and unfair to write Pickering off yet Bell was shite and Hart was too, but he didn''t even play, was more a youth player
  5. Or probably not Some of you massively over play your ability to identify players. Here's another shock, Tony Mowbray is a better football manager than you. I hope you were sitting down for that one.
  6. I presume you have never seen the guy we are about to sign play, so not sure how you can claim you would find better!
  7. Signing someone for 1 million doesn't automatically mean they will be twice as good as someone signed for 500,000...... All good teams have 2 players competing for each position. I see no issue with the deals
  8. Ya, we know that, you don't have to update us with your status on that deal every 10 minutes You have no idea whats going on behind the scenes with deals and the recruitment set up. You can't even explain why players you randomly said we should sign , would actually be good signings Obafemi would be a coup for us and it seems most realise that.
  9. Nah, I think the Nyambe thing is one of those narratives that just becomes gospel, without it being true. Like that Mowbray favours 3 at the back, when in reality we have started maybe 3 games max with that as the formation, in 5 years. I suppose it makes no difference to the players whether they sign now or in January, so they are weighing up their options. It happens at most clubs these days. Not great, but what can you do.
  10. I suppose we just need to judge when it's over and we don't actually know the budget. It's great to have 2 permanent left backs with potential for growth.
  11. Am ,no. Seen as we rarely play it
  12. We have no left back cover, that's bad We sign a permanent left back as competition, also for some this is bad Can't win
  13. You said earlier in the window it didn't matter there was no head of recruitment in place as the previous guy had identified targets. Now you're saying there was an interim person in place. You're tying yourself in knots(as usual) and that's why people struggle to take what you say seriously at times. You're constantly flip flopping and moving the goalposts when it suits the point you're trying to make..
  14. I think the issues with this are above Mowbray. I wouldn't imagine we have a stellar negotiating team when it comes to deals. If anything it seems talking to Mowbray is what makes players decide to come in many instances
  15. Ya, unbelievable. Who would have thought that with no head of recruitment for 5 months, knowing Armstrong would leave ,we are here on deadline day. Such a shock....
  16. They are all mercanaries at the end of the day, so I don't really care once a good player signs. We have players under contract at the club currently, who probably don't want to be there.
  17. Obafemi on loan anywhere doesn't really add up if he is out of contract in a year. Serious potential there, so hopefully it's a permanent deal.
  18. Who? Only joking, but not the player some were trying to make him out to be when he left.
  19. I don't buy this stuff that Nyambe was treated badly. He starts the vast majority of games he is fit and he does have things he needs to work on. The players just realise they could get better deals elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if Nyambe, Lenihan and Brereton all sign new deals eventually
  20. Do they not? I would imagine both will stay. I wouldn't actually be against selling Rothwell though if we got a decent bid from a PL team.
  21. Wasn't really that pushed on Lowe, but then again it was a permanent. Hopefully the CF is a permanent. Not sure we need another winger on loan. An attacking midfielder would be good
  22. You were claiming they would be good signings, it's up to you to back that up. We all have Sports channels and the internet like. We can all pick random names out of the air. Roberts, Obafemi and that left back would be decent business
  23. You couldn't even say why the ones you suggested were any good. Armstrong came from a PL team. He played mostly on the wing before the last 2 seasons anyway. We need a CF now. So the only criteria should be who will score the most. I don't know why they have scouted him,or if the links are even true, but that's what the papers said.
