The commentators are a joke. A good first touch by Buckley he said and it about 7 meters in front of him ,which their player won😆 -

Fair enough on the post, but I think you can dream on thinking we would get anywhere near £5 million for him. I would be shocked if Premier league club came in for him. Maybe on a free, as a fixer upper due to his athletic ability. I don't think expecting him to contribute a bit more in attack is expecting him to be super human, it's pretty much expected from full backs now, even at this level. I hope he proves me wrong and has a stellar season, but he has stalled as far as I concerned and I don't think it's fair putting that blame on Mowbray I don't JRC is a great option there either, but he is technically superior, so I can see why the call is made. I would probably favour Nyambe alright though. Lenihan is a funny one. It seems the interest from Sheffield united was real and the figure I read was high, but its hard to know. He can't regularly make the Ireland squad and we are total dog doo doo at the minute. Although centre half is one place we have decent players. -

Have a bad feeling we could get turned over by a better drilled and hungrier team tonight. It's our kryptonite Will Smallwood be playing I wonder. He's probably have a stormer -

Ya, I loved Robbie! On your earlier question, well I haven't seen as much of games this season as I would like, 2-3 I think. 2 on Rovers TV and one on a stream. Is tonight's game on Rovers TV do you or does anyone know? I agree about Pickerings weaknesses, but I would give leeway because of the jump in standard. He looks promising to me, more promising than Nyambe. I hope Nyambe proves me wrong now with a stormer, but I do understand why Mowbray would favour a better baller in JRC over him and also why he would frustrate a manager. Like when people go on about Nyambe with over the top praise, can they honestly say we would get more than £1 million for him , even if he had a long contract? I don't believe we would. Which in and of itself tells its own story about an athletic international, who has been playing at this level consistently for a number of years, apart from the season in league 1 ,where he didn't exactly set the world alight. -

Do you think Travis is better than Robbie Savage? He's a poor mans version to me. I'm sure other fans do appreciate the donkey work he puts in, he needs more to his all round game though. You needs a full back that does both if you want to go anywhere these days. -
I don't think they are aware ,or at least care, about fans opinions. If they were why would they do half the things they do?? For example pointless new contracts for other dross over the years

Pickering can play football and has a decent delivery. He also just scored, which whilst not anywhere near crucial for a full back, Nyambe is basically allergic to it. Nyambe is good at stopping his man play a fair bit, but when he's not, he offers little to nothing else. Completely over hyped here because Mowbray has been percieved to slight him, same with Travis. Whilst both situations it's one of those falswle narratives where Mowbray did feck all to them and the players have been poor, or if anything he has given them too many chances , or if he did rip them out of it, he didn't do it enough. Both have gone backwards and that's on them. I'm sure you will agree Mowbray didn't hold Armstrong back, quiet the opposite in fact. -

Travis is playing muck. Another not as good as he is built up to be on here. It's funny it seems they are built up ability wise if Mowbray is perceived to slight them. Nyambe was left, but his positioning was pointless basically -

Can't find the Nyambe thread. Posted my views on his defending for the first goal in the Luton thread. Awful, wrong side , stuff you learn under 8. He's fast and strong and is good one on one with wingers, which of course is important. However he gets caught positionally, can't header very well, passing is ok and his offensive awareness is practically non existent in the opposition final third. Genuinely, how much is he worth? £1 million? Considering Pickering cost £650,000 and looks to have a lot more to his all round game for a full back, which you need these days. Nyambe is a very poor man's Wan Bisakka I don't get the love in and think we could find better. -

There is no doubt free agents out there better than what we have, If those in charge of transfers knew what they were doing. Mowbray talked Butterworth up all week, then didn't even use them, ridiculous. They knew Armstrong was leaving for what, 1 year now? Let's say 6 months being generous. They failed to replace him all summer. You said then it didn't matter there was no head of recruitment, only to then say they had an interim head of recruitment (that none of us knew about) and they they failed to replace Armstrong. I wouldn't be confident they will do anything in January. It will be more false dawn's and false promises. The club is shamobolicly run and that's very apparent when it comes to recruitment. We can't get a decent squad together, there are always issues and holes. Having great young players isn't enough, under this manager, he does not exceed expectations, he just about achieves them ,or fails completely. This new head of recruitment has it all to do. -
That ship has sailed It is baffling he got a new deal only to be loaned out though

This isn't true, Mowbray starts him most games and if his "heart isn't in it" he's totally unprofessional. Sounds like excuses being made for him to me. Don't understand why. Like when has Nyambe been as good as some make out? It's always that's he's going to get good, he's going to improve defensively, he's going to improve in the air, he's going to improve positionally. He hasn't though and of anything he's gone backwards. Now it's moved to "oh it's the managers fault he has downed tools". It's just nonsense. It's on Nyambe and Nyambe alone and he's not anywhere near as good as some on here try and make out. He's not going to turn into Cafu under a different manager I'm afraid to say. His positioning for their goal was appalling. Get goal side. You learn that under 8. Not sure what he thought he could achieve defensively when that ball came in. He was all over the shop. If Gallagher and Brereton get slated for missing chances, Nyambe deserves the same. -

Watched the highlights. Was that Gallagher who missed the one on one and hit the inside of the post? He was unlucky for the one off the post. Great finishes for our goals Their first goal it was terrible by Nyambe. Really, really poor to let his man get that shot off. Lame Their second goal out of context it looks very bad that we let him take to down so easily, but I suppose we probably had our backs to the wall a long time before that. Their first goal looked very soft. Nyambe gets way too much credit here at times. Gets caught like that ,is weak in the air and is pretty poor when it comes to end product going forward. -

8 minutes extra is extremely rare, but fair enough, as I said, I didn't see. So typical they couldn't hold the lead though -

Not playing Butterworth after all good talk is classic Mowbray, but maybe he thought Brereton wouldn't start? -

Something about today's result really sickened me. I think it was the fact I was checking the score on the Forsa app and was thinking why is our game going on and all the others are finished, just feeling so sure that this is going to end up with them equalising and not us going 3-1 up. It's so frustrating supporting this club. Should there have been so much extra time? What happened? You can't give up 3 points from that position at home. -

Was checking the score and wondering why it wasn't over. Knew it would be bad. What the f**k happened? -
Who is the player you're referring to? I just don't believe he would be telling potential new signings that loans would be starting ahead of them and that is the reason they won't sign. Its just money, club(company) culture and personality of the manager, like all jobs.
-
I can't imagine Mowbray is saying this to any players, why would he? I would say it's just a case that they have better options. We have a wage cap and we are competing with so many clubs for the same players. Plus I'm sure some players are swayed by the managers personality, but this works both ways and many players have said they have signed because of Mowbrays love for the game.
-
Was Bell shite when here, yes or no? Whats the metric you are using to say Luton are worse? Didn't they finish above us last season?
-
I think the loans who played deserved to though and Braintwaithe wasn't guaranteed game time. The only one you could argue didnt was Douglas and then you remember his competition was Bell. Elliott is starting for Liverpool now and THB will be playing in the Champions league. I don't think any loans were unfairly given game time. Who do you think was?
