  1. People want reasons why we should not appoint Houllier Here you go
  2. Or Peter Reid, JW's preferred choice to take over in 2000. Why do people not think Peter Reid is a good manager. He got stale at sunderland but before that he did a fantastic job for them.
  3. Mark Hughes is so good that he failed to qualify the best team wales have ever had in a long long time to the euros and already failed to qualify them to the world cup. Any team with Earnshaw,Hartson,Bellamy,Giggs,Savage,Koumass,Davis,Gabbidon and delany should easily beat the likes of Russia and Northen Ireland(with anb extra man) They also play so called 'boring football' but actually fail to get the results
  4. And Fitz hall played very well there when I saw him
  5. I have to say. MGP is giving me the impression that he is a bit of an arrogent prick Also, i cant wait till WHEN rovers score, so we can sing. 'Souness, whats the score, souness souness whats the score' Hopefully we can score to give us the lead and not a goal to give us a life line in a 4-1 game.
  6. well he was watching Huddersfield on saturday. Watchin Jon (cant remember his surname) play. Im sure he tried to sign him soon after we signed Jon Stead
  7. Was listening to Tony P's interview on rovers world today. He said its now time for rovers to appoint a young low-key manager as we are a low-key club. Hmmmmmm, not too sure I agree with him there
  8. I'd prefer Dowie than Hughes But I still want george Graham!!!
  9. Bill Kenwright just been on ssn saying Moyes aint going to Blackburn.
  10. erm........ I think they already had it. And appointed a new chief exec. link
  11. No but very nearly. why? At least give reasons why certain managers would be poor. I dont have a problem with most managers we have been linked with apart from the inexperienced ones such as Hughes,Newell or Shearer
  12. He's probably telling the truth. Its hardly a secret anymore, its maybe 90% certain that Mark Hughes will be rovers new manager. Unless David Moyes has actually applied
  13. any chance of having a poll asking who members want as manager? mods?
  14. Different circumstances: Newcastle approached the managers they wanted, Rovers invited applications for the job. See my earlier post on Dowie; I don't see the point of us grooming Shearer for the next time the Newcastle job becomes available; Moyes would be OK though I don't see why he would want to leave Everton; Hughes would be preferable but is inexperienced and would need good back-up staff. who do you want then? and why?
  15. has anyone got any stats of the results rovers achieved with Parkes in charge as caretaker
  16. He could have a bit more money to spend maybe. A better squad, and maybe he would get better money at rovers. I mean, if the worst manager in britain(according to Jim) can take rovers to 6th place, why cant he? Also, does he still live in Preston
  17. He's moved up to 3rd or 4th fav in most bookies now
  18. Harry Redknap could defo be one. As his assistant is former rovers manager Jim Smith
  19. The Times has JW quoted saying that if our first target already has a job, it will take longer to get him So theres still hope for Curbishley link
  20. Toon 0-1 Rovers (Ferguson 88 PEN) Yes, thats correct, now souey has gone, rovers will get the most penalties for any premiership team
  21. is Advocaat out of work? Or is he still manager of Holland?
  22. thats what JW has said. Does he mean Hoddle?? Also must add, I believe a local radio in either London or Blackburn are saying that Alan Curbishley is in talks with rovers. We are offering him a lot of money.
  23. Didnt Advocat have a fall out with Barry Ferguson at rangers??
  24. agreed, No way Peter Taylor. And Dario Gradi has never worked with big players like we have and has no premiership experience. I know i am on my own on this, but I would like to see George Graham as manager. He would fix our defensive problems and he has done really well at every club he has managed.
