[Archived] Striker Signs!
greggyk replied to Blackpool_Rover's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
message to other rovers fans: dont get influenced by other rovers fans on here who like to criticise players without seeing them play just stick to your own opinions. Anyway, can the club ever win. You call Yorke a disgrace, well, he's gone! You all say Jansens past it, and now that another club shows interest in him, you all say he can do a job for us. You say you dont want anymore golden oldies, well now you've got a young english striker with pace who has great potential. Some of you should just let the club do what they feel is best, as they obviously have more brains than some of you on here. -

[Archived] Bobby Robson Relieved Of His Duties
greggyk replied to SharrockDownSouth's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Bobby Robson would be a perfect manager for rovers. Just one problem, we've already got one -
short. When we drew 2-2 with em
-
wtf are you on? We have 2pts out of 4 games
-
Would gally have made a difference. He doesnt hold up the ball as well as Yorke. As I said before, I felt Yorke did the best he could today
-
Also, Amo must have taken at least 1min to getof the pitch
-
Does the watch actually get stoped when making subs?? I never thought so. I always thought thats why managers make subs in the last mins of games, to waste a few seconds. And Paul, I cant believe you dont like Ferguson
-
He also missed a sitter which would have won us the game!!!! But he did at least put effort in
-
Maybe we should first remember when gally scored with his hand against the toon. We all cheered like mad, and do did the players and gally. But anyway, I thought we were fantastic till Amo got himself sent off who was playing well before that happened. I would have accepted a draw and man yoo deserved it but thats very harsh the way it happened. Anyway, apart from Brad, my MOM would go to Brett Emerton-HE WAS FANTASTIC! Just like against Woves over a year ago. Oh, and how the hell did pederson miss??? To be fair, he got stuck in and we scored from his long throw but it was a great goal from Dickov. It was very even up till 60mins and I really felt we would hold on, but oh well. Im sure that will give the lads great confidence. My match ratings Friedel: 9.5 Neill: 6 - I thought he was very poor and he looks as if he's put on weight Short:7- Solid, but why cant he head the ball forward instead of up Amo: 6 - Silly first booking as the player was going nowhere. But played ok Matteo: 6.5- He was ###### in the first half but decent in the second Emerton: 8.5- Fantastic, showed his pace and took and beat people Fergie: 6.5- Solid, but it would be hard against Man Yoo Tugay: 6.5- Same as fergie Pederson: 6- Should have scored and got stuck in, but I guess he's only trained half a day with rovers so far Dickov: 7- Great goal and played well in the first half, i dont know why souness didnt take him off instead of stead Stead: 8- Great, held the ball up brilliantly, dont no why he was taken off subs: Yorke: I tought he did ok when he came on. He played on his own which is very hard and won a few freek kicks
-
Didnt Krislu say he would wear the number 31 shirt!!!
-
I dont get it, how come Mr. Souness' tactics are perfect for his first 3 seasons, then, for no reason they dont work for the next 2??? ppl are very harsh on souness
-
Well, according to reports, we beat of Man Yoo, Spurs and Chelsea to sign Pederson.
-
why? because we lost to Arsenal away? Get real
-
I would (And have) pay(ed) almost ten times as much to go there from Sweden if I had the money and no school tomorrow, and according to you you're the real fan here.... It would probably take just as long to take a plane from Sweeden to london than a coach from blackburn to london. And who says I have not got to do things tomorrow
-
Give it a rest. Its always the ref with us. Apart from saturdays game, the refs performance in todays and the WBA match wouldnt have made a difference to the result. Its funny that when we win, the ref never gets criticised
-
Oh well. Cant win em all. Unless your Arsenal of course It now means that we MUST get something from Man Yoo at Ewood.
-
That was a crafty little swipe American, good one. Dont fancy paying £33 plus travel fee to see Rovers get hammered thanks

From taking a learn Norwegion in 30mins tape. I have translated this Tromsø and Rovers have reached an agreement TIL and Rovers have just agreed to the condition for a transfer of Morten Gamst Pedersen to the Premier League club. Two obstacles remain. One is the medical which will take place at a hospital in Manchester tomorrow. The other is him failing to agree personal terms. One probably can take it for granted that both the legal and medical will be fine, and will means that Blackburn will be given his player license Friday, allowing him to be able face his favourite club Manchester United at Ewood on Saturday. Bjoern Tore Markussen, daily leader of TIL has following comments on today's meeting in London: - We was met with respect and dignity. We had done good research, but there is always a lot of give and take in the closing face of such negotiations. Overall I feel several of our demands were met, and if so we had decided to complete the deal. - This is a good deal for Tromsø, it secures us highly needed funds right now, funds when Morten performs and funds with an eventual sale from Rovers. We have complete faith in Morten becoming a hit in PL. In a strategic context it is important to realise the assets in the squad from time to time - it's a "must" to us. When it comes to the details of the deal, the information is disclosed as usual, but the total frame is about 31 mill NOK (Ed: 2.45 mill pounds), and we got accept on a share of a future transfer. In addition there is also intention of "cooperation of mutual interest". This means marketing and footballing issues which will be specified within near future. - We had promised Morten we would try to make this work, and we really have. Morten deserves it. He has given much to the club over the latest years and when he personally made it so clear that he felt the urge to move, we just had to work things out for him. We also want a good relationship to him in the future, and hope he hasn't played his last game for TIL. Hopefully he will do as Årst (Ed: Ole Martin Årst, had a sucessful spell in Belgium, now back in Tromsø), and come home after realising the boyhood dream and make a contribution. - The board of TIL is very satisfied with the result. At the same time as it's joyful, it's also a sad day for TIL. Morten has extraordinary qualities and has played a major role this season. It's sad to lose such a good player, but it's nice that he through TIL realises his boyhood dream. When our demands now are met, there is only one thing left - To wish Morten all the best in the future, says Markussen thanks to someone who speaks norwegion on the official board
