  1. There is no way the club can increase the prices of season tickets for next season. From this year`s home record, it is obvious that a number of fans won`t be renewing next season, and it`s hardly a surprise. I`ll renew mine, but I would be extremely surprised to see if the season ticket prices did increase at all. At Leeds, they`ve opted for this scheme where you have a 10 year season ticket, but works out cheaper somehow, don`t know the full details.
  2. Can see all points that have been posted. I agree that sacking Souness now wouldn`t do anyone any good. But at the end of the season, serious questions have to be adressed. It`s obvious that there is a clear problem with the first team squad. The players aren`t giving everything, so why? Is it because they think that there better than every other team that visits Ewood, or is it because there`s a rift between the players and the manager? I don`t know if there is, but there seems to be, with all the arguments that have happened with the players. Everyone makes mistakes, but I`m sure we`re all wondering why Gray, probably our best source of creating any possible chance on Saturday, is taken off?
  3. My view on Souness`s future at the club will determine after the Leeds game. If we win (please) then we might slowly ease away, if we lose then the fans will be on the players`s back. There is only so much a manager can do, and once the players have crossed the white line it`s up to the players to perform and give everything. We didn`t see that on Saturday, and we haven`t seen it very often at Ewood. So why? Is it because we think that we are Real Madrid and we can beat anyone, which we can`t. And have been to laid back when it comes to the home games, with not enough players performing well enough. Or is it, that the players don`t have any respect for the manager anymore? Exactly the same thing happened with Hodgson, which drove him out. Questions have to be asked, why are there so many arguements with Souness and the players. He`s done a great job for us I`d say, in getting us out the First Division, but something has done wrong somewhere.
  4. I don`t know if anyone remembers, or anyone has a link, but after Dunn left, he did mention that he had a row with Souness, and that then at the time there is still a number of players who do not get on with him. We all thought it was sour grapes, but looking back over the past few weeks, he`s right. There is a problem with the manager, otherwise they would be giving everything. Look at Eddie Gray at Leeds, few weeks back, no hope, even still they look certain to go down, but they still fight for the ball and give their all. It`s signs of 1999, waiting to happen again I`m afraid. I`ve praised Souness for what he`s done at the club, getting us out of Division One, two good seasons in the Premiership then this. You could blame it on injuries, but at the end of the day, the eleven on the pitch weren`t good enough, and weren`t putting enough commitment into it. If we stay up, we have to be the luckiest club in the league, because on evidence of yesterday`s game there is no way we deserve to be in the Premiership. IF we lost at home to Leeds, I can seriously see Souness leaving.
  5. Just out of interest where does everyone download their albums for music? I`m not on broadband and download songs of Kazaa, so the songs take a while to download. Help?
  6. Correct. "We`re Blackburn Rovers, we follow our team, we`re Blackburn Rovers, we are surpreme, we`ll never be mastered by Burnley B£$%^&*$, we`ll keep the Blue flag flying high!" By the way, shouldn`t this be in the songs section?
  7. Firenze, I can see some of your points, some of the signings he has made are questionable, but before you throw the knives at him, do you ever remember Divison One? Souness came and got us out of that divison, when he took over, we were no hopers. Appualing , losing to Barnsley and Crewe at home. Souness got us promoted, won a cup, european football, what we had of it. We have had bad injuries this year which hasn`t helped, and the results some which have been bad, but you can hardly blame the schoolboy defending of team on Souness can you? I`d just like you to think, where we were when Souness took over and where we are now, he`s done a good job.
  8. Wouldn`t say that this is trouble for Leeds, but more of hope for Leeds. Wasn`t sure whether to put this under this topic or, not happy at the Breezeblock. Bolton 'to quiz director'
  9. Thought of a song today to the tune of : we shall not be moved. Here goes, "we are the team in blue and white, we are the lancashire delight and we hate the scum, they`re dingle b*$*****, we are blue and white!" repeat......... what you think?
  10. Anyone bought Franz Ferdinand`s album? I bought it yesterday, and I can tell that it will be on my cd player for a long time. Kelis - Milkshake is good also.
  11. There`s only one Steady, there`s only one Steady, STEADY! etc. Or how about, ready, STEADY, go!
  12. Good point there slater_scott. Souness should be given till the end of the season, but there`s still some doughts in my mind if he`ll be there come August. The comments he has made on T.V in the last few weeks it has crossed my mind that he might resign, especially after the City. I`m just glad that he had the courage of dropping Cole and Yorke. We`ll have to see where we are in May, and then make our minds up from there. The place we`re in doesn`t reflect Souness as a manager, he has had a lot of bad luck through key players being out, but I do hope he sticks by it.
  13. Leeds have cancelled the trail of former Manchester City star, Georgi Kinkladze , as he has reported to training late twice. Don`t know if it`s been posted as link before. Kinkladze leaves Leeds Will save them money anyway. Do they get £200 is they pass go?
  14. An honest interview from Souness. I agree with jim mk2, partly. I do believe that Souness has run out of ideas and inspirations. If you look closely at his interviews over the past few weeks, he looks a deflated man. He looks as if he`s given up. I don`t think this as we`ve been c***. But the luck that has come with it, losing Barry, Thommo,Amo etc. Souness said that we`ve conceded to many careless goals, which we have. Take the last two home games, scored 5 and conceded 7. Really, teams coming to your home ground shouldn`t be scoring that amount. The 3rd goal for Chelsea should have been dealt with, Souness was correct on one of the after-match interviews saying in a p***** off attitude, "we are where we are, because we deserve to be."
  15. Mixed news for Leeds. Good thing for them that Robinson has stayed at Leeds, since the deal to Spurs has fallen through, Leeds wanted the cash up front for the deal. SPURS FAIL WITH ROBINSON MOVE Lua Lua has decided to go to Portsmouth, as Congo have been eliminated and lost all three matches in the African Nations.
  16. Lua Lua from Newcastle is set to be the return of the deal by Bridges moving on loan to Newcastle, Leeds will get Lua Lua for 3 months. LUA LUA LINED UP BY LEEDS IN SWAP DEAL

    An Idea

yeah a good idea, but agree with Tugay4England. Isn`t that how Rangers started off, to get their chants going? If we tried it, no one would be harmed. All the favourites plus new ones that could be introduced to try and up the volume at Rovers, usually it`s on mute.
  18. Leeds have to sell someone. I can understand them not wanting to sell players such as Smith, Milner and Robinson as these two were the future of Leeds United. If Leeds did have a bid around £5m, then of course they would have to sell whoever. If it was Smith, die hard Leeds fan, born and bred there, it`s up to him if he wants to leave or not. So would Alan Smith, leave to further his career and help Leeds financinal worries, although £5m is relatively small comapred to how much debt they are in. I`d try and sell players like Bridges or Ian Harte, and then bring in more younge players. Easier said than done.
  19. Smith would be a great buy for anyone, whoever can put the cash up front to Leeds. But what if Smith doesn`t want to leave Leeds? Bridges maybe. Worst run club in history what has gone on, O`Leary has said that he wants to fins out what really happened.
  20. Know where did I hear similar things before? It was 1999, during the era`s of Hodgson and Kidd, where everyone said that we were too "good" to go down. If we were too "good" to go down, then we would have stayed up surely wouldn`t have we? The main fact is, there`s probably only three / four teams who are guarenteed safety. The league is probably split up into three categories. Top three, mid table and relegation dog fight. At the moment, anyone from 8th place to the bottom could go down. It only takes someone like Fulham, to lose 3/4 games and they`re back in the relegation area, who`s to say someone like Wolves won`t go on a 3 game win streak. Anyone is capable of beating anyone now. We can go down, although we can stay up. Let`s not speak too soon.
  21. Worrying situation for the Leeds fans, to have your club turned like that in the space of a few years is bad. Of the players, my first choice would be to have Alan Smith, would love to see him in a Rovers shirt. Milner looks a good player, there was talk in the Express that United are interested in him. Viduka, he`ll probably leave during the summer, can`t see him leaving at the moment as he`s in Australia with his father who is very ill. The defender who scored yes, but I`d guess Leeds will hold on to their youngsters if they can.
  22. After hearing Souness` comments on ITV after the game yesterday I was rather puzzled with his comments. Souness said along the lines, that this season has been very dissapointing and that there`s a group of players here that have under-performed this season. And need to improve individually and as a team. Then Souness said along the lines, that do I need to do anything so I can improve to help the players. And I`ll have a long hard luck at myself come the end of the season. It was somewhere along the lines similar to what he said. Now to me, it sounds as if Souness is deciding his future at the moment and will decide come the summer. Could this be that he feels he can`t take the club any further than he has done already, or is it that there aren`t any more funds to buy new players to further and strengthen the club?
  23. how about, "Burnley`s going bankrupt, Burnley`s going bankrupt na na na na!"
  24. Correction, Dingles can`t get jobs. On a more serious note there is only one way that I think Souness will leave the club and I think, well hope that it won`t come to this. I can not see the club sacking him, he`s done a tremendous job since he started with us in March/April 2000, whenever it was. If WE WERE to go down then I could see him resigning that`s it. Once we start winning again on a winning streak, he`ll be fine.
  25. I wasn`t sure before where about`s Beckham would fit in the Real side but he has proven me wrong. Some of his performances have been very good from what I`ve seen and has scored a fair share of goals. The best game I saw him play was against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. As for Toshack I think he was referring to the fact that he didn`t think Beckham was worth £30m for a footballing side to Real, altough the marketing sife is big both for the player and club.
