  1. I think that it starts from the Boxing Day game maybe slightly before Boxing Day, although I’m not 100% sure so it’s best ringing the club up and asking them. Did anyone see that in last night’s LET that there was an article on the sales of Burnley’s season tickets? In the article the club were sending out letters to people who hadn’t had season tickets last season but have had them in seasons previously. Could be an idea for us to try and attempt to fill some seats.
  2. I know where you’re coming from but I don’t think we will have a bad next season as we have done last season. Dickov – For the price that we have paid for him I don’t think it’s that bad a signing. How old is Yorke? Wouldn’t you rather have a player like Dickov in the team who’s the similar age to Yorke and will work his socks off? Matteo – I’d welcome him to the club. Yes the Leeds defence at time was all over the place. But for the most of the season he was the captain, he lead by example, he gave 100% every game. Matteo played in the midfield and defence because Leeds were all over the place. So who do you want to buy? We don’t have the spending power that we used to have, get real.
  3. whats the point in having a youth academy if we only buy young players from other clubs!! We will have a decent mix of young and old in next season's squad, souness does no what he's doing! I can see your point there greggk. Even though Short and Amoruso are still here at the club, there are also younger players like Jay and Nissa to learn off them. But with all the injuries that we suffered last season, Short and Amoruso did have a bit of time out of the team Matteo is a useful addition. He may not be the world’s best defender but as a player he reads the game well and his positioning is excellent. I reckon Matteo was bought in as extra cover, I’d guess he would start over Short most games with Amoruso. If injuries, suspensions hit the midfield he’s always available to play in the midfield. Overall, for the cost of the signing and the qualities he brings, money well spent.
  4. Perhaps I should stress that for under 8's it's completely FREE the still extremely cheap junior price of £70 - £75 is for 8-15 year olds. In the long term we need to keep these offers and try and hoover up all the school age support from Blackpool/ Burnley/ Preston/North Lancs /anywhere else etc. RevidgeBlue – You’re right in saying that the junior price of a season ticket is £70 with loyalty discount or at a normal price of £75. Both terrific prices for younger and the next generation of Rovers supporters to coming through. Last season’s performances won’t help at all in increasing season ticket holders which we all know. But can you really see 6/7 year olds really wanting to come and watch Rovers after last season’s games especially at home? Under 8`s only get in free for a season ticket unless they have had a season ticket in previous seasons, been scrapped the free season ticket for under 8`s which is stated in the season ticket pack.
  5. There were leaflets which arrived to me just over a week before my season ticket pack for renewal came along. The way the club have produced affordable football for all supporters of Rovers is brilliant. For me £210 I don’t think its bad at all considering there will be 19 games to watch. For every game that’s just over £11 which is very good value. I guess especially for juniors at that price being so low is to make it affordable for youngsters to come along and get to watch Rovers at an early age. If they like it then there’s more of a chance that they’ll be prepared to pay slightly more expensive prices as they get older. Can’t fault the club for prices, but considering it’s only ten days till claim your-own seat and some fans haven’t got their packs yet I’d be worried if I was you in not getting my own seat. I’d advice those to go on to Season Tickets - official site and download the season ticket pack/renewals for their benefit.
  6. I reckon we should give this ago. With about a minute or less to go before the players come out the whole Blackburn End sings No Nay Never as the players come out. If everyone did it, it would sound brilliant. Any thoughts on the idea?
  7. Doh!! isn't that what people have been discussing on here for over a week. How can they sell them when people haven't received their renewal packs, and for the majority they can't get down to the ground during the week. Expecting to sell - As I have said numerous times on different threads, they had better prepare themselves becuase we will be lucky to sell 10k - regardless of price freezes. Still shows to me how out of touch the club is from the Rovers fans. I was only reporting back to everyone from what I was told yesterday down at the ticket office after I had transferred my seats. Don`t shoot the messenger. The season ticket renewals are poor in the way how they still haven`t been delivered to some fans who had season tickets last season. My mate hasn`t got his yet so he downloaded a application form of the internet and filled it in.
  8. With Terry looking very doubtful know for Sunday’s game to me it’s a sign of a major blow for us. Terry has played brilliantly alongside Campbell in past England games and has developed a great understanding together. Terry played well against Iceland and showed he can be a threat when attacking too. With Campbell taking Henry I think Henry will win it for pace against Campbell. Carragher to replace Terry if he doesn’t make it? Really can’t see him being the dominant player against Trezeguet although I maybe wrong. Terry running out of time
  9. Let go and concentrate on the thread. Not gonna get past the group stages. Sad to say I have to agree their. Look at our group, both France and ourselves are considered to go through. France for me will win it. As for us I’m not entirely convinced from the games that we have just played that we’ll go through as easy as some people are saying that we will. Japan we were appalling and against Iceland we played well for half n hour or so but Iceland were incredibly weak. We rely too much on Owen scoring the goals. And as for Rooney I’ve never seen a more over rated played hyped up by the media. Ok so he puts himself about a bit and scores great goals now and again. But his general play is poor. His movement and space that he puts himself in is brilliant his touch and passing needs to improve heavily. He doesn’t deserve a place in the squad he didn’t get into double figures and yet he’s still going to Portugal. We’re not good enough, France man for man I’d say are better than us. I predict we’ll underestimate a team like Croatia and lose, end up like Euro 2000.
  10. Ranieri`s finally decided his future. Going to Valencia is where he achieved a lot of success a few years back, but I think that with time and his ability to coach a good group of players providing he was allowed to have a say in who he wants to buy, Ranieri would have done a brilliant job at Chelsea. End of an era both for the club and Ranieri. I won’t be the only one in saying that I’ll miss his press interviews. RANIERI RETURNS TO VALENCIA
  11. I’d be able to play if you are in need of any players to play. As long as you announce it with plenty of time before the game. I can play anywhere apart from goal by the way. Who played in what position?
  12. Went down to the ticket office today to sort out a transfer of two seats. Done fairly quickly and they said they haven’t sold as many as they were expecting so far but expect an increase when it gets nearer to claiming your seats. We are getting swipe cards which will arrive to you in late July according to the lady at the desk.
  13. Young adult is between the ages of 16 to the age of 21. You qualify for the young adult when you are 16 on the 31st of August or the 1st September I think. But the price for an adult at £210 is good personally.
  14. Agree with the bit about Gallas being a possible loan signing for us. Gallas was the regular first choice centre back until he had bad injuries and Roman came to town. I doubt that we would get him; he would probably look to move to a bigger club. Moruinho may sell him if an offer comes in which is decent, like Chelsea need the money. Maybe clubs like Newcastle, Liverpool stand a better chance of getting Gallas, as it’s a bigger club and offering European Football. Newcastle I doubt would need Gallas as much as Liverpool as they’ve suffered with injuries to Hyppia and Henchoz and age is getting against them. I posted about the possibilty of Huth
  15. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS POST NEGATIVE ###### ALL THE FKG TIME .... Probbaly because he's a disgrace and a scumbag. The board can do without that pillock. Harsh..............but fair Sorry Kennysuperbuyer who do you propose to buy? Put yourself in Souness`s shoes at the moment. We don’t have a huge great deal of transfer funds to spend this summer unlike other clubs. Ok, Dickov isn’t probably the ideal player that we all wanted and is hardly a household name, however Souness has bought him and personally I think its good business considering the price that the club have paid for him. Dickov`s a player who’ll give 100% every game and that’s what is expected of players. We aren’t going to sign a big name player that will suddenly see a rise in the sales of season tickets. Simply because we don’t have £5-8Million to spend on a top quality player. Souness has made some good and bad signings in his time, bringing in players such as Thompson, Ferguson and Stead. But I’m sure Souness will admit he’s made some bad ones too such as Grabbi etc. Dickov won’t be the best or the worst player that will be at the club, we shouldn’t be criticising anymore. We have had a bad season, let’s move on and get behind the manager and the team.
  16. Here we go again, no surprise that Chelsea have started the spending again. Deco next to come? A good signing for Chelsea, Ferreira is a top quality player and I bet he’ll be the number one choice at full back. I bet Glenn Johnson’s wishing now he hadn’t joined Chelsea now. FERREIRA MAKES CHELSEA MOVE
  17. They cant be that good of a fan if they arent renewing when the club has actually done the right thing this year. We have some of the best priced season tickets in the league. That’s not the point really Scott, although I can see your point. For whatever reason fans who had season tickets and aren’t renewing is entirely up to them. If it’s because they miss too many games or not or probably the main reason is that they don’t want to pay x amount of money to see the same sort of performances as they have done last season. The club have done the right thing in giving the fans the opportunity to watch Rovers at very good prices. There will be fans that won’t renew simply because we had a poor season and that’s life. We do have good prices but I heard Birmingham have season tickets that are slightly cheaper than ours. A young adult there is £180 compared to mine which is £210 with a loyalty discount. Agree with Brian’s post.
  18. I doubt that I’d be able to play this weekend, going to be quite busy with exams and everything else even if exams weren’t happening I doubt that I would be able to get to the venue where it’s being held at. But I’d definitely be able to play during the summer in July or August if a game was to be arranged. Who’s playing for us?
  19. Heard rumours about this game as a possible friendly tie and now has been confirmed for the 28th July, Wednesday night. Brought back memories of Division One and the promotion season instantly. I fancy going to the game, anyone else thinking of going? ROVERS TO TAKE ON THE HATTERS
  20. Does anyone have any idea when the season ticket renewal packs are going to be sent out yet? I want to renew mine straight away and also I want to transfer my seat to either areas N01 or N02, does anyone have an idea when transfer day is, or when this has taken place in years before? Just to say again, well done to the club with the prices, can’t wait for next season.
  21. Welcome to Ewood. Perhaps Yorke could learn something of Dickov, in work-rate and commitment. As long as he gives 100% every game then I’ll support Dickov throughout his time at Rovers. Who would be your choice of strikers up front now?
  22. Mourinho will do well. He’ll bring a disciplined look to the Chelsea team and won’t stand for any nonsense. He’s a great coach and I’m sure he’ll do well. But sacking Ranieri was wrong. Ranieri achieved second place and semi-finalists in the Champions League. So if Chelsea sacked Ranieri, it’ll be only fair on Ranieri that if Moruinho doesn’t win the league or doesn’t get to the Champions League Final then Mourinho should be sacked. CHELSEA CONFIRM MOURINHO
  23. Been on the cards for some time that Mourinho is going to Chelsea and now it’s finally happening, I fear for him and Chelsea that it’s all going to go wrong. No doubt Chelsea will spend millions once again this summer on several players and some will leave. Players like Crespo have done nothing for me this year. If a player was offered a contract at Chelsea for any amount of money you’d have to consider it carefully. Ok, so you’re getting money, money like it’s nothing, but will you get a regular place no matter how well you’ll play? MOURINHO ARRIVES AT HEATHROW BENITEZ LEAVES VALENCIA Looks as if he`s off to Liverpool now.
  24. Disgraceful. Ranieri has been treated appallingly. Abramovich hasn’t a clue. Since Abramovich has arrived and spent all his millions on all the players he wants, he hasn’t had the same ounce of pressure that Ranieri has had. Ranieri shouldn’t be ashamed; he did the job with enthusiasm and pride. Ranieri gave Chelsea there best ever finish in the Premier League. He did make a mistake in Monaco, probably his only one and the mistake that probably cost his job. Chelsea’s loss, I wonder what Abramovich and co will be saying in years to come when it’s all failed, hopefully. Ranieri would be a brilliant manager for any club to have. CHELSEA CONFIRM RANIERI AXE
  25. I think that you’ll have to ring the ticket office for a season ticket pack since you weren’t a season ticket holder last season. I’d just ring them up to be certain. I wonder what the chance is that this time next year the prices for season tickets will remain the same? JUST THE TICKET FOR FANS
