Really enjoyed that second half - love a come from behind 3-2 win and what a goal to win it.

For all the thousands of pages of comments on here about Brereton and Gallagher, Dack and Armstrong might end up fetching double what those two dollopers cost.

Not getting the Nyambe goodwill tonight, I thought he was pants going forward all night

Nyambe is pants going forward every night.

I would set up like this

                          Walton

    Nyambe Lenihan Adarabioyo Downing

             Travis Davenport Rothwell

    Samuel         Graham       Armstrong

I wouldn't have Samuel anywhere near the team. I think people forgot how poor he really is when he had the long injury lay off. He wasn't good enough in L1 and certainly hasn't improved since his injury. Should be the first out of the door this summer.

im`e starved of watching attacking football,i just want genuine wingers,2 strikers up front,a solid back line,a goalkeeper who is`nt a flake and 2 full backs who can fly up the wings, give us some excitement please,i don`t care about promotion it`s not going to happen anytime soon, but i just want to see some ATTACKING FOOTBALL?

Yet Tony would have you believe that we play attractive, attacking football. We've literally just sat through 180 minutes of us lumping it forward to Armstrong or Holtby playing as a false 9. The mind boggles.

  4. I think the one thing we can all agree on is that Wharton has been mismanaged. We've done him a complete disservice sending him out on loan to L2 for 3 years. Although he's been playing 'mens football', he's been playing at that level for so long, that there will no doubt be reservations about him stepping back into a Championship team with promotion aspirations. Which begs the question, why have we let him play in L2 for so long.

I thought he looked good in the first team during his handful of appearances and would be happy to see him given a runout.

It wasn't a putdown or anything. I meant it.....starting to test my patience indeed!

I think he is shit...there...said it....

Haha yeah, I got what you meant. It's a shame but he's really gone backwards since we had him on loan. He's so much better in the air than he was, but he's lost a bit of everything else that made him look like a striker with promise.

Brilliant, that. Understatement is such a tonic- especially when I am raging!

I'm trying my best to stay positive, otherwise I'll spiral for the rest of the weekend. Would love to see Armstrong & Brereton play either side of Graham next game. Just can't see it happening though.

Walton - 4                    Weak keeping cost us.

Nyambe - 8                 Drove down the wing and did his job.

Tosin/Lenihan - 6.5     Looked like a comfortable afternoon. When you win, they get 7. Lose and out come 6s

Bennett - 3                  No left foot so had to turn infield every time. Gave the ball away many times. Passed back repeatedly rather than cross with his left. Truly awful.

Travis - 8                    My god he is vital to us. Without him, there was absolutely nothing in midfield in possession or out. MOTM.

Downing - 7               Sprayed the ball around and decent set pieces but didn't get a free ride without two defensive partners.

Rothwell - 5               Tried but failed.

Holtby - 5                   Tried but failed.

Brereton - 5               Tried but failed.

    Gallagher - 4             Failed.

    Armstrong/Samuel/Graham - 5 Too little time.

Mowbray - 4             When your team bosses the midfield but can't come close to creating a chance and you have 5 subs to play with, don't wait until the hour mark to change things.

Thank you. Just given me a good laugh with the "tried but failed" leading up to Gallagher.

This result tells you all you need to know about the Rovers team and Mowbray. Third time in a row I’ve seen us lose to an inferior Wigan side. Told the missus during the second half as we were playing some reasonable stuff that Wigan would win.

I said exactly the same thing. And that we were more likely to lose 2-0 than get a goal back, with how we were playing.

  9. I think what everyone is trying to point out is that they have completely different attributes, which make them different types of player.

What you're almost arguing is that they're similar in terms of their form/output, which is fair enough. That doesn't make them the same type of player though. It's like saying an apple and a pear are the same as you're as likely to choke on the pips of either.

Can we agree beforehand that, with us only taking 4 points from the last 3 games, only 14 games remaining and with the top  2 still to come to Ewood, a point on Saturday is not a good result

This falls into the must win category for me. If we have any hope of reaching the play offs, we need to be beating teams like Charlton. When we play the sides higher than us in the table, we want them to be looking over their shoulders and feeling the pressure.

I watched the game. Millwall got a lucky goal but played well 1st. Fulham second half better team. But even game. Millwall didn't create anything second half

I switched on for the 2nd half and thought Millwall were very positive. They were pushed back quite a lot as Fulham were trying to get a winner but Rowett made a couple of attacking subs and was pushing for a winner too. Apart from Fulham hitting the bar in stoppage time at the end, the standout chance was Millwall's through Tom Bradshaw, who should've done a lot better when he was put through.

After almost a season here how do people feel about Christian Walton? Would you sign him permanently or not?

I think we've got to give him until the end of the season before judging him. Bit of a shaky start but he's started to look the real deal more recently. Some big saves and he's quite composed even under the heavy press when we're trying to play it out from the back.

I couldn't say either way at the moment.

Some say I bullshit some actually belive me. Now that only a huge surprise will see any incomings ive been given a explaination by my contact. The information wasn't wrong, things just change sometimes. First of all he was 100% right about Lamptey and the developement there in yesterdays posts (the story broke today) and earlier today I gave a explaination about the Atsu-case and a few hours later it broke on the LT.

What happened today? Many of these things I first got too now now, so don't shoot the messenger.

First of all, like it or not, no matter what Tony have said about funds, Rovers was 100% sure they would get rid of some players, so they could balance both number of players and wages.

Smallwood: Said no to a league one club early last week and was aiming for Sunderland who have shown interest a long time. A lot of people, including myself tought he turned them down today but it was actually Sunderland who suddently backed out of the deal. Why, I don't know.

Chapman: Was offered to a bunch of League one and two teams. League two couldn't afford wages and two League one clubs took the bate. BUT in a back-up role and Chapman then decided to stay.

Brereton: 4 (!) Clubs, none of them English, showed interest in a loan deal, nothing happened and don't know why.

Mulgrew: Seattle Sounders was more than interested as soon as he came back but couldn't match the wages. Mulgrew wanted Rovers to pay him the difference - Rovers said no.

    Incomings:

Lamptey: Was done deal, just some fees about reaching certain numbers of games. Negotiated for 2 weeks until Brighton came up with a insane bid.

Atsu: Was of a while ago when Newcastle played hard to get and wanted full payment of wages. When other clubs said no, just like us, Rovers revisited the deal today but offered to pay the exact same as the bid the last time(!?).

Matty Longstaff: We actually made a bid, Newcastle turned it down, said no chance. Tried to loan and negoiated but even the loan-fee ended up being too high.

Nice one for sharing the info.
