  1. Pep didnt want hart. He wanted to play out from the back more and wnated a keeper better with his feet and he ousted hart.

Clearly for a youngman that had been trending upwards his whole life, he didnt respond well to the suprise knocking and he has lost something

But even at 90-95% of his former self he would be the best keeper in this league

  2. Football is a funny game. If pep doesnt come to city then Hart would probably still be city and england #1

He'd also be well on pace to be englands most capped player as many thought he would be whilst firmly #1

And now here we are with some fans not happy we may or may not sign him.

Pep's desire for a different type of keeper really knocked his ego and confidence and he has lost his way.

The reward if you can rebuild that confidence is really high. We could have a really world class keeper on our hands

I don't think he was up to last season. It seems to have dawned on him big time. He looks as fit as I have seen him in the videos from pre season. Is it enough to delay the inevitable slide for a year or two... Let's see

Its a genuine worry as for me he is the first name on the team sheet. He is key for everything we try to do tactically.

We always say stop dack and you stop rovers, but I always think the key to stopping dack is stopping graham. If the opposition centre half gets the better of Graham, then dack struggles to get into the game

  4. He's been great for us, but Graham doesnt strike me as a model pro who has looked after his body his whole career. A lot of players his age drop off a cliff performance wise in a very short period of time. The legs just go and they suddenly look a shadow of their former selves. Lets hope he has 1 more really good year in him, but I guess TM is worried he doesnt if we sign gally for big money

  5. I think our only signings now need to be in the back 4 and GK. We have plenty options and cover accross all mid and att positions now.

We could do with shipping some out perma and on loan, but thats a work in progress I guess.

So we need bare minimum a goalkeeper.

Pretty well need a good centre back

In an ideal world we could do with 1 or 2 full backs who would start in the best 11 also

Even so, we can barely field two quality CBs and are from having the depth to have three back there

Depends what your take is on 3 at the back. The clubs that are succesful with it tend to play full backs at the outer 2 and a proper centre half in the middle.

So we'd be more Williams, Lenihan, Nyambe kinda setup.

If not saying thats a good 3, just it explains his lack of signings at centre half. Explains why he seems to prefer wing back type full backs etc

  7. I have thought it for a while and so far this window doesnt change my view. His signings always seem like he wants to change to 3 at the back.

He has had his various dabbles at it, but never commits to it. If we played 3 at the back I could understand all his dealings a little more.

4 strikers in DG, SG, BB and AA is a good mix competing for 2 spots up front over the course of a season.

I just wish if that is his plan he would just crack on with it and take the lumps that will come with the change.

Just seems like he doesnt know wether to stick or twist with our tactics

Daily Mirror reporter is saying that we've agreed a loan to buy offer for Joe Hart.

    Just awaiting personal terms.

If thats true it will certainly devide opinion on here, but damm its a fair statement of intent if we do.

Get an arm around him and rebuild his confidence and we have a world class goalie far to good for this level

Just a random though, what do you guys think we could have gotten for Alan Shearer in today's market? I mean, clubs buy 4th choice keepers for more than we got for him back in the day.

Well if they are talking 70mil for Lukaku, then shearer is worth at least 3 billion quid in todays market

  10. There is almost 4 weeks left yet isnt there in this window?

Thats a life time really when you consider how late everything seems to happen these days in these windows.

Its not ideal but its the way things work these days.

Loads more players become available in the next week or two as they realise in pre season they arent in the first team picture and they start looking elsewhere.

Premier league teams start looking to loan out players soon as they set their final squads.

What deters me from Rodwell isn't so much that he is making us wait (bit annoying but understandable to a degree), it's that he's popped himself off on an extended holiday at this time of year. He's entitled to if he wants, it's just that it shows a woeful attitude towards truly fixing his career. He should have had his hols earlier and be training with us, like everyone else who didn't have international commitments. A couple of other out of contract players we've never owned are managing it.

Just a sign of a man who isn't bothered anymore, I hope we swerve him.

    Thats a fair point.

We dont know what he's been doing to be fair, but I'd imagine TM does. If he still wants to sign him then he must be happy with the situation.

TM seems to value graft above any other attribue really, so I cant imagine him wanting rodwell if he doubted his desire
