For every £ invested in Rovers they are likely to get around 15p back, based on today value.. They are telling the court they are protecting their investment, by sending the funds, but hopefully that little porky has been rumbled.

Given the bond and also given the little lie they have spun, they may well live to regret that statement, as it could cost them the value of the bond, but we shall see.

My source is impeccable so I will 100% guarantee that is correct. 

I have just spoken to my journalist contact and he doesn't have much information at the minute. He is going to ask around though and let me know what he can.

He has done the odd interview with Waggott and did not speak very highly of him and mentioned that he was a member of the press fraternity himself with none other than the daily sport. 

Something I didn't know, but interesting shall we say.

So rather than go digging and get some expert analysis of the situation from people who are up to speed on these things and risk upsetting Waggott instead they'll cover easy and comfortable ground which means tuning into the weekly presser to discuss which injuries might be back for the weekend.

As you say, clubs existence in question due to these funding issues, yet hardly anything from the club or local media. 

They're a disgrace the lot of them.

 

I am speaking to a client today around 3.00pm, who happens to me a journalist covering MCFC for one of the red tops.

He normally has the low down on things, so I will ask him if he knows anything and if there are any rumblings.

It can become somewhat insulting at times, to be told something in an interview, that you know full well is simply not correct.

After watching Rovers and football in general for 52 years, I know what is and what isn't a good performance and to be told anything other than the Newcastle games, were good performances, is either a lie or blatant exaggeration.

If I was looking to start making money from illegal betting I would not start with an investment of 50mil in a club. I'd just be gobbling one or two referees which would give you way more control for a lot less cash.

There are some serious doubts about who put that money up too.

I could believe in a general plan to bet on back to back relegations or something but no 0 shots.

The back to back relegation thing would also seem unlikely as we had a decent start to that season where we 6th when kean left? If we were trying to get relegated surely we would have started terribly?

The no shots on target may not be what was being targeted and it may well be that there was no fixing going on at all.

Please read what PhilipL has had to say though on the WBA game and all I would ask, is keep an open mind.

No shots on or off target strikes me as being completely outclassed and/or completely not arsed rather than deliberately trying to throw the game.

I don't know if it is available on a legal or illegal market, but assuming total teams shots are, then it stacks up. Someone has suggested spot fixing, rather than throwing the game and that seems to make more sense to me. I am not saying, I am definitely correct, but when you look at what Philips has also posted about the WBA game, things are looking a touch suspicious in my opinion.

Ok, just for fun, I have looked at the games on Saturday in all of the 4 top divisions and the number of shots per game/ team are below. There were none with 0 but a couple with 2 and 3.

It might be prove very little, but given at least what a few of us on here suspect, it might tell a tale. I suspect no shots at all, is a VERY rare occurence.

It's obviously not the prime reason for their ownership but it certainly can't be denied that things like that have happened here at this club.

I wonder how often that happens? For a team not to have a single shot either on or off target, I would think is pretty rare.

If I get time later I might check the last fees days fixtures.

I think is a lot more likely that we will end up in the fourth tier than bouncing back and we will still have a lunatic fringe defending the owners. Where would we be without them?

The guy who wrote the article was rather cutting and injected plenty of humor. It was as though he had been primed that this one was fixed.
