Stanley's u23s must be pretty good? Surprised at that really.
8 of their side had been in the squad on saturday so not realy a u23 side

No that's a different competition.
I think this one is officially called the Football League Trophy or something (except for when it's sponsored). It's available to all League One and League Two teams, and in the last three seasons, some category one academies.
programm says lancashire fa senior cup

Did the u-23s play in the whatever-it's-called trophy (used to be LDV Vans ages ago, I forget the current sponsor)? I thought as a top category academy we went into it if we weren't league one or below.
I think it is and allways has been the Lancashire Senior Cup one of the oldest cup competitions in football

Magloire is captain of our under 23s tonight so he won’t be involved, think Nyambe will be on the bench as centre half cover

16 goals and 6 assists and played 26 games. So involved in a goal every 1.1 games.
rovers site saying 26 goals and 6 assists
OUR OPPONENTS
The Bees come into this game off the back of a 4-2 away win against Rotherham United, leaving Brentford in 17th position.
Striker Neal Maupay has scored 26 goals and created six more this season, netting once every 139 minutes.
Thomas Frank’s side have an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Replay to contend with just three days after this game, following a 3-3 draw away at Barnet on Monday night.
TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE

I think the rovers preview is over egging Neal Maupay according to the write up he has been involved in 32 of their 39 goals this season ,I think whoever wrote it should learn the difference between games played and goals scored .He`s having a good season but not that good .
Striker Neal Maupay has scored 26 goals and created six more this season, netting once every 139 minutes.
I think there might have been a bit of intrest in him at that scoring rate

I think we’ll be fine so long as Graham doesn’t get injured. Nuttall has looked okay of late but you wouldn’t want to be leading the line with him week in week out as the difference between him and DG quality wise is like night and day. Keep him wrapped in cotton wool please, Tony.
The problem was who could we have got that is alot better than what we have and would have been happy sitting on the bench

Dan James in at Leeds. £1.5m loan deal rising to around £10m if promoted. Smart bit of business. James on the left and Jack Clarke on the right gives massive options. Rip some full backs another ring piece.
Leeds fail to sign Daniel James supprised his spy network didnt see that coming

Parson watches a lot of our academy matches and has a very positive attitude to our young players. He has doubts about Brereton. If he, who is encouraging of our youth, thinks Brereton probably won't cut the mustard, then I suspect he won't.
I saw him myself at St James Park and wasn't impressed with the look of him but I wouldn't judge him on that alone. However, I do have to say that I felt he didn't even show desire let alone ability that day.
I wonder how he has over 50 games under his belt in the championship and still only 19, someone must have rated him ,I would get him in the u23s and try to get his confidence back .

If he were from our academy, he'd be free! And we wouldn't have had the same expectations! The £7M is relevant, however hard you try to spin it.
Are you really saying we couldn't have spent £7M better? Ridiculous.
Does anyone actualy know how the £7M deal payments are structured and what triggers each payment .

Perhaps we should go the wolves way and get involved with an agent and sign all his foreign player .Oh wait we tried that and it did not go well

Just think if there had not have beenVAR we could have talked about how the ref got it wrong, at least VAR will cut out all the arguing NOT.

I retired in 2006 before VAR was even thought of.
I bet your glad about that its a nightmare, I still cant belive you can play a competition with different rules for some games and not others.

Correct but they have to enforce the Laws of the Game. The VAR should have advised him on the correct restart having reviewed the incident.
By the way I refereed around 1000 games of football over a 25 year period.
