He wasn't thick because he is a footballer and even if he thinks it privately he should not be posting in the public domain that he is hoping for bad things for other clubs. Y'know just in case he ends up signing for them. Oh look.

He has created a legitimate case to make himself an enemy of Rovers fans. He is now under more pressure than he was to perform. Let's hope that spurs him on a bit.

Personally, I've already gone off the guy. Let's just hope he can play football and then nobody will care.

But it's quite the opposite of your fan-blaming post.

Its all pretty irrelevant every player that plays against us wants us to loose,so when we sign a player they will probably have at some time wanted us to loose .

I see the Rovers website home page only has comments from Mowbray.

As he is only a head coach and not even a manager, that shouldn't be his remit. However again it is left to the person that picks the team to front up as the face of BRFC once more.

Pity we've not got a director of football or something to communicate with the fans at a moment like this.

When are illustrious owner going to comment on how their baby is doing?

  3. I will be surprised if we survive I cant remember a team spending so long in the bottom 3 and surviving I think we have only been out of the bottom 3 for 2 weeks all season.Thought we would go down after first game, squad just not good enough for any league, has anyone gone down with out being in the bottom 3 until the final whistle of the last game?

Mowbray is happy to have the title of Head Coach, implying he is happy to have such restrictions in place (if they even exist, we won't know til it comes out).

quite a few clubs call the person in charge Head Coach, noticed on sky the other night they called Paul Lambert Head Coach

It does seem odd that he's made such incredibly perceptive comments and basically hit the nail squarely on the head when presumably he can hardly have seen us play.

I presume he knew he was getting the job before the Man Ure game. You wonder if his comments are based solely on what he saw during that 90 minutes or on the basis of some input from Lowe and Dunn because based solely on that game I'd be sat there rubbing my hands thinking everything was hunky dory.

I hope as soon as he was offered the job he got down to watching most of our games on the clubs dvd.

  6. Inspired by a thread on the Football365 Forum.......''Worst Ever XI''

I have dug up this beauty from 11 years ago, partly to see what people said 11 years ago, and also to see how little we knew back then that those would be 'the good old days' of recent times.

Pre Venkys, a phrase that will only be exacerbated as time goes on.

Please enjoy reading back through the comments, some funny in our current situation, some obviously that won't have changed. As for worst XI, any team nowadays

Based on several (or alas) more appearances.....

    Steele.

    Henley-Peacock-Rekik-Williams.

    Etuhu-Lowe-Petrovic.

    Goodwillie-Brown-Varney

I think Herold Goulon might get in that team

  7. Emnes won't be signing for us permanently, we wont match what he is on at Swansea and why would he walk away from a contract for a pay cut when he can go out on loan and get his full wage.

Also, Giles Barnes is garbage, there is a reason he is playing in the MLS lets not try and convince ourselves that someone who was average in a poor Donacaster side 4 years ago is going to improve us or be some form of coup.

did we not buy doncasters player of the year 4 years ago and that did not work out well for Chris brown

  8. What i dont get is ffp is almost impossible to police so why not just have a wage cap for the leagues below the prem, players are not just going to walk away as there would be nowhere to go .Might make them try harder to get to the promised land of the prem and work hard to stay there as wages would drop .would take a few years to impliment as current cotracts could not be changed and a relegation clause would be automatic so finacial planning for clubs would be easier as you would know your wage bill for the season.
