learned a few things from a very solid performance last night
1: Everton will have to improve drastically or it will be a long season for them.
2:Football has gone mad if that was a £50,000,000 player out there.
3: We have got to enjoy watching Dack while we have him because if he carries on improving like he has we cant keep him for long.

I think Dack has been as clear as he could ever possibly be that he's happy here and looking forward to the Championship challenge. I've seen no indication from him that he has any intention of moving to another Championship club.
Given that he has spent his career to date in League One/Two, most of it at Gillingham, I doubt he's going to be demanding mega money or silly figures to stay. We would have given him an increase on Gillingham and another increase on that to reflect his importance to the club would be appropriate. He can hardly turn around and demand £30k a week given he's never kicked a ball in the Championship.
Of course there is an alternative theory - that either Rovers haven't got round to offering him a new deal yet or that whatever offer has been made is nowhere near what it should be for a player of his importance. Of course negotiations ought to have commenced the day after the Doncaster win to get him tied down to a long term Championship standard contract, same for Lenihan, but with Venkys at the helm I can't see it.
To some extent I can understand a reluctance on Rovers' part given Dack is completely untested at Championship level but that won't help if other clubs come knocking. Sooner or later you have to be bold and brave and give him the contract rather than allow risk or uncertainty to develop. Losing him would be a crushing blow in a number of ways.
I would have thought that in his 4 year contract wages would rise with promotions etc still has 3 years left, lets see how he performs in this league then offer him a longer deal in January .

I said Bryan Robson
Bobby Robson is about the only one. Terry Venables as well perhaps but he was only capped twice by England.
Edit - wrong quote - meant for Stuart.
what about Sir Alf,Stan Cullis, Joe Mercer and Don Revie all capped for england

Never said I wanted 40 man squad.
The current squad:-
Keepers- Raya Luetwiler Fisher
Defenders- Nyambe Caddis Lenihan Mulgrew Downing Williams Bell
Midfielders- Bennett Smallwood Travis Evans(would sell if we got a decent offer) Conway(when he signed a new contract) Gladwin
Strikers- Graham (when he signed a new contract) Samuel Nuttall
Thats 19 players above. So signing 6 players would give us 25 man squad which is what we need.
Players to rid of Whittingham, Wharton, Hart. Loan Tomlinson out
When did we get rid of Dack?

Bolton totally ran away with League One and were lucky not to return to it.immediately...THe e goal fest they enjoyed in Div 1 dried up in face of better defenders..or was it they cashed in on their Dack like players?....Hope we keep our little diamond..Rhodes need rescuing..anyone like to see him back..
They had to win last game to get up don't think that is running away with it

With it being this 'blue n white' day, I'm holding out a sliver of hope that they'll be released today.
Ineptitude of the highest order if the 25,000 don't hear about season tickets by 7.30pm tomorrow.
I don`t think it will be announced tomorrow but they now have a more up-to-date data base for a mail shot with them selling so many tickets .

Have I missed something about Conner Mahoney ,TM mentioned something about a meeting about him in one of his press conferences I am assuming it is regarding the compensation figure , I still think he would have been better off staying would probably have played most of the games this season instead of the 6 games he played.

I remember last time we got out if this league the night at Bury when we got going with "we are the rovers, we are the champions ,we are the rovers, we are the champions " it went on for most of the game it was electric in the away end ,the roof shook like mad.

Was the free season ticket if we get promoted not on offer for this season.
-
I think they can get promotion if they win their next game playing one of the sides that can catch them Exeter.

Surprised they've decided to sandwich it between two important home league games. Would have thought they would have preferred to leave it until the league game v Blackpool was out of the way and there was a 2 week break to let the pitch recover.
Game have to be played by the the 3/3/18 so going past that date due to weather so could not put it off any longer.

Blackpool game Re arranged for next Tuesday night ,do the u23 play Wednesday night in Lancashire cup
