That's what the Real Madrid president said about Makelele before their downfall after they sold him......it's not often a defensive midfielder's job to make defence-splitting forward passes and I would have no problem if every pass he made this season was a 5 yard one to Murphy.

His use of the ball wasn't outstanding in the Premier League but he worked well with Murphy who was always good at finding space to receive a pass....if he's good enough for the Prem, he's good enough for the C'ship. Anyway he is a defensive midfielder so I'm more concerned with whether or not he can put a tackle in.....as long as he isn't absolutely terrible at passing which Etuhu is not.

Defensive midfielders often go unnoticed.....I would be happy as long as he isn't on high wages......I also agree that this was a Murphy recommendation......due to his age, he is probably a bit wary of who is next to him and was obviously comfortable next to Etuhu at Fulham.

Good signing....we've been crying out for a tough tackling midfielder, barring J Jones, since Savage left and this guy will fit the bill. Would be fine in the Prem as well on the off chance we get promoted.....championship experience is useful but like others have pointed out, it is not a good idea to have to revamp the squad if we get back up.

It's just tactics...most sports have them.....I'd find it boring if it was just a matter of who can ride the fastest as normally you could just predict the top 10......the more you get into it, the better cycling becomes.....and we're good at it.

Heroes is actually pretty good for the first 2 seasons, 1st one especially.....exactly the same goes for Lost, Looking through your list and I rate all the ones you have watched that I have also seen.....so apart from Arrested Development I would definitely recommend True Blood and American Horror Story

You should definitely watch Arrested Development.

True Blood is another really good programme that is not your typical recent gay vampire tv show or film. I've just started watching Spartucus: Blood and Sand.....I really didn't like the CGI but my brother tells me it stops that after a few episodes.....has anyone seen it and do they recommend it?.....I've only seen the first episode and it didn't exactly grip me but it's been pretty highly recommended. This topic has just reminded me of Breaking Bad so I checked when season 5 is out and it's out on Sunday in USA.....unbelievable.....it's probably my 2nd favourite tv show, behind South Park, just ahead of Boardwalk Empire....I'm gonna have to watch the last episodes of season 4 to get back up to scratch as it's felt like ages since I've seen any.

I strongly recommend American Horror Story as well. Very, very good drama with elements of horror but not so much. But only if you have already watched Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

Comedy - Arrested Develepmont is very funny once you get into it. Most of the actors have gone on to bigger things after it was wrongly cancelled. Entourage is pretty hilarious once you get into that also as the characters are not very likeable at first. Summer Heights High especially and also Angry Boys can be really funny. Drama - Highly recommend Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and Band of Brothers/The Pacific. Also Game of Thrones and Californication. Have heard good things about Spartucus: Blood and Sand, American Horror Story, Mad Men and Underbelly

How does Game of Thrones compare to the books? Is it like most things where the books are better? I take it you highly recommend the books? And do the books get better/worse or stay roughly the same as they progress? I get the impression when watching Game of Thrones that it hasn't truly kicked off yet if you get what I mean....maybe not counting the last episode.

Blackburn fan since very early 90s. Student who tries to get to as many games as possible but less inclined since Kean/Venky's Don't know who to say my favourite player is as most of them are about to leave. Probably Givet, Martin Olsson, Formica and Nzonzi. And like Goodwillie based on watching him in Scotland. Don't dislike any players like I have done in the past.....eg Chimbonda and El Hadji Diouf I do hate Kean, Venky's, You-Know-You, Agnew etc. I know hate is a strong word but I genuinely do.
