Southampton look shocking! 5 0 thrashing in TM back garden with only 2 shots on target.

SSN just saying next round draw is tomorrow. Thought it was after Everton game.

Watford Away....A treat for some of our older supporters!
Brings back memories!
Sir Roger saves penalty, Barry Endean (ex WFC) & Tony Field score under Rovers manager Ken Furphy. Most players donning those long sideburns, fashion back in the day. Good vocal support from Rovers fans on 26th minute & it wasn't "no ney never" either.

News breaking on BBC that Villa's tram bus has been attacked at J10 on M65 & significant damage caused to it, though seemingly no injuries...
I can hear Cindy Lauper clearing her throat just now...
Idiots. Glad there's no injuries and hope Police identify those responsible and jail them.

Watford had 24 shots but only 4 on target! Well managed game by JDT.

Moran won't be registered so no chance. Maybe get a run out in the cup though.
He is eligible to play, number 24.

Shocking positional playing for both the red card and the second goal from Carthorse. A first choice centre back is needed as much a first choice centre forward.
Opens up a weakness for future teams to exploit. Having said that we were a man short.

Dolan understandably looked dejected as he came off yesterday. He kind of side stepped a hug from JDT but the whole ground knew he would be coming off once Pickering was given a red. Probably a star in training, hence he was in team, but he's too weak with no weight, too predictable & lacks skill for this level.

Entertaining game but costly. Gallagher was star player gave everything.
Long long transfer window plus the time it will take to get players up to speed makes these first games a bonus missed. If the these dream players don't happen we will fall short of last season.

Cant believe no penalty! If it was in front of home fans for manu it would have been given.

A Armstrong already back in the goals now he's back at his level (and that's not a dig! He's a brilliant player in this league and it's not like it's an easy league)
He's up there with leading goal scorers now with three, although two were penalties today and last weeks deflection he knew nothing of.

Mowbray's right about spotlight on referees. He did add 13 minutes yet nothing for the three subs that came on in that period. All down to the ref but would imagine they come together before next week to make sure all are singing from same hymn sheet. Entertaining for some but not for others.

This new stoppage time idea is ridiculous.
Guess it depends. Im sure Sunderland thought it was more than 13.

Ha - sorry goozburger.

Fully agree with goosburger re A Wharton. That through ball to Szmodic (I think) was world class. His quick passes are outstanding and at times in a direction no one expects. Just the odd loss of ball in cramped areas.

At times outstanding. Well satisfied. But where did JDT go at end?

Ref being intimidated by 3 of theirs so he rightly booked one.

I hope the weather is not as horrendous in Lancashire as it is in the West Midlands. There's standing water on the roads, and at least a faint drizzle all day. Not conducive for super sexy football.
We've had no rain in Blackburn. Believe its raining down the road in Burnley but hopefully it will stay dry for our first win.

Just drove by Ewood and its unusually very busy. Stayed dry so far.

Leonard did ok and I wasn't disappointed with most but thought Pickering had a bad day against a talented side. Got a bit non-friendly at times especially with Travis trying to prove a point. Its not that he gets in good positions it more that with the game the ball ends up with him. Then his lack of quality lets us down. His tap to goal in first half should have been smashed in.
Good effort. Enjoyed ".....four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire". Well done Miller11.
