Just had a scan of one of the Boro forums and, despite the depression of how bad they are, they were all in agreement that we were, by far, the better side and should have won by several.

Almost all admitted that Dieng was their best player.

Quite a few admiring glances in Szmodics' direction also.

Their fans were very quiet especially in first half. Glad we've got this win before they sack Carrick which surely is on the agenda.

  3. Should have scored 5 today with Dolan, Gally then Szmodics missing easy chances. Telalovic was a poor static player up front, unlike Gally who runs about. Moran was slow and out of position probably knackered after his return from International - why I don't know.

Wharton's poor pass almost cost us the game but Pears was as good as he's been and probably saved us 3 points.

  4. Been over to Bamber Bridge earlier today and seen quite a few wearing a certain white shirt. Nobbers are in a better catchment area than Ewood and if their success becomes reality they'll see sellout games at home with that small ground they have plus fans growling out of their woodwork.

Radio 5Live are bigging up nobbers saying they need consistency with players returning from injury.

Hope to hear Plymouth score another 3 today.

....... bringing in Tronstad for Travis and  Telalovic for Gallagher. Plus Hill and Sigurdsson on the bench. I will post me team line up in Boro thread shortly

Yes the championship is wide open and we have seen so far.

Not saying your wrong chaddy but this means a change of captain. Should a team be built around the captain?? Travis did have a bad game along with the whole team but by dropping him JDT needs a new leader. I agree with leadership but how good is this  on the pitch coming from Travis?? Time will tell & it's JDT's call.

This is a massive concern. Seemingly no-one consulted with JDT, which I'm gobsmacked about (I know, I'm a fool).  Whilst JDT doesn't take day to day responsibility for the transfers in and out, he has to have the final say on his squad. GB spoke very clearly about how involved he is in selecting transfer targets and speaking to players before any transfers reach a conclusion. To let a first team player leave without his say so is a shambles.

I'm sure GB will address this in his usual post-window interview, but on the face it this looks like another deadline day cock-up and another nail in the coffin of the managers tenure.

Conspiracy: was GB involved in the last minute Buckley departure or was it another cloak and dagger budget cut decision in an already depressingly belt tightening summer? There has to be some accountability, and GBs interview has to address who had the final say on this. If he wasn't involved either then it's further evidence that the owners are meddling in affairs they shouldn't be, probably via Waggott or Pasha, which totally undermines the DoF model.

It is a massive concern & sickening to us fans who have passion for the club.

We are a Championship club with relatively low publicity. If we were Premiership we'd be more under the radar and perhaps football authorities would have a say.

As you rightly imply this (JB to SWFC in last hour of transfer window) is evidence on the DoF model failing from the football side. Buckley gone now weakens the squad, JDT's patch. If JB was a difficult team member he'd be disciplined, JDT's patch. Venkys are business people and will look at next month Management Accounts (well I'm not sure they do but....) and see "Wages" cost are less than previous month and everyone on the board will receive a thumbs up email.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but the bus was mentioned AGAIN in JDT's post match interview! How long can this keep going for before something gives?

Dom Hyam came off at half time during the 3-0 defeat at Plymouth, with Scott Wharton playing the second half.

When asked about the change, Tomasson replied: “He was not feeling that well.

“I don’t know the reason for that, it could be because it has been a very busy week with a lot of travelling and sitting on the bus with air conditioning.”

So the journey was too much for the team. Need to go by train then when we play Southampton if flying is too expensive.

  8. Clear as daylight, Plymouth players wanted to win & we didn't. We looked slow and that a disgrace to our 1,000 fans.

Miss by Hedges was pathetic and will keep him awake tonight. All this talk of Andy Wharton being a £25m by May 2024 has completely gone out the window. Has his head been turned already? Shouted down for suggesting this might happen but for the deflected goal he wasn't even standing correctly.

Still say that journey down south knackered them. Poor performance lets hope JDT gives them a bollocking.

  9. 4 shots on target with 58%. Too much passing about with no quality. They had 9 shots on target with 3 beating Pears. Time to give Pears a rest. Today's bench was weakest for a long time. We need those new signing match ready in two weeks so I'm hoping to hear of a game behind closed doors. JDT is no fool and he will insist on discipline both on and off the pitch.

I hate these international breaks but as things stand it a god send for us.

    No, I wouldn’t say that.

Preston at home, Burnley away off top of my head.

Performance was frustratingly good today, but nothing at the top end.

The result is abysmal, but we created enough chances to beat these four times over.

Once the new lads can come in, hopefully we’ll see a difference.

Yeap we can hope. Looking forward to our new keeper.

    3-0 dear God.
Carbon copy of some of the ‘performances’ from last season.
I reckon JDT is going to be fuming given the past 24 hours. And rightly so.

Lets hear him have a go at Venkys.

He'll blame tired legs after long journey and how grateful for international break. Not many worthy of the shirt after today.

    VENKYS OUT!!!!!!
