  1. I was born 7 months later so I've always been jealous of my Dad and his mates who experienced it all, and I was too young still to appreciate the League Cup win for what it was. But reading this thread and thinking about the state of the club now, just makes me angry. Angry it's happened, angry at Venky's for making it happen, angry at the footballing authorities for letting it happen and angry at the people in the fanbase who continue to watch it happening without question.

    Venky's out.

Was just thinking about the stay aways and potentially those on here that are looking at not going back until they have left.

The other route I was thinking about was the total opposite. Turn out in force every game, get behind the team. wouldn't this encourage growth and spending in the Jan and summer?

They have no interest in growth as shown by the multiple times we've sold out the ground and then the following match/season tickets have been sat in the top 10% of the league's pricing table. It would make the club more money to have 15k ST holders at £250 (adult) than they do half of that (thereabouts) at £350. That's before you consider reducing walk on costs and the money people spend at the game. They just don't want the scrutiny of an engaged fanbase over 20k weekly.

    He's surely a Dingle I can't believe otherwise

I'd argue he's just another person on the internet who's absolutely desperate to always be on the winning side of any debate for some unbeknownst reason. Just makes him look naïve at the absolute best.

    Never met him 🤔

He has backed with signings, but he didn't get who he wanted in January then factoring in he was promised £5m in the summer which he didn't get. He wanted to buy signings and we didn't do that. Then add key players who contracts aren't renew yet who he will want

He is living in hotel in Blackburn whilst his family and 2 children at living in the midlands.

Today will a recover session for most. Light training session tomorrow before Wednesday game.

Eustace is meeting Rovers management team today as Andy Bayes

What will it take for you to see that there's no excuse, rhyme or reason for this to keep fucking happening? The family line is absolute bullshit, the article tells you this,

Does Pasha have spit in your face or something?

  5. The past 12 months has surely showed every youth player the best way to the top is to play for us for a bit longer? Wharton is in the England (provisional) squad for the Euros & was one of the best players in the country for the past 2-3 months whereas Ash Phillips is being linked with more Championship loans!

I am in it myself mate. I know what you mean, I’d be surprised if it just went to 0 at the end of each 2 year period, which does make me think I should make an effort to buy one really to get on the ladder again.

That what you say about women’s matches and points, I’m sure Rangers do something similar and they also award points for going on matchday tours etc… basically anything where they can make a few quid out of folk wanting to move up the ladder.

Rewarding the self proclaimed super fans who the clubs love and pushing away traditional fans who they don't. Shock.

Reading up on this loyalty scheme and as a new buyer with under 50 points from 23/24, who may well miss 6/7 home matches (or more based on tv) it’s pretty pointless me buying a season ticket really. Miles behind for low allocation away matches in points table and they say it resets end of 24/25. I can’t complain as my attendance has been poor for a while. I would like to have got one again but it seems a bit daft to all in all.

ESTC resets after every major tournament and goes to "total caps" and "active caps". So for example if England are drawn with Gibraltar in the next qualification period, the first game being away, the "active caps" for everyone is 0, I believe in this instance they'd use the "total caps" to determine who's getting what in terms of tickets - I'd expect Rovers to use a similar setup should it be required.

  8. They loyalty scheme is also a crock of shit. More points for a women's game than Plymouth, Cardiff or Sunderland away? Really?
I've been a member of the England Travel Club for roughly 10 years and women's games aren't even considered as part of it.

Just to add, I am well in favour of growing the women's game, but this feels like the club forcing people into spending money for the sake of "loyalty" points.

And but for the width of a crossbar we would have lost to  Rotherham. The warning signs were there back then

But equally, 11 months ago, but for the width of a crossbar, JDT would've got us into the playoffs. Fine margins don't make or break anything, you need to look at his spell as a whole to judge. I agree its clear he lost the players, the reasons for which I don't think we'll ever know, because until December he was working miracles with them...

  10. There's so much said in that statement that they (whoever at Ewood has scrambled the statement together) haven't even realised.

The court case "should" have no future impact on funding. That's not a 100% committal, it's very heavily caveated, IE those at Ewood who wrote it, don't have a fucking clue, this is how I see this going.

Fans who have not spotted that "should" is a big caveat think all is well now. It gets to Summer and we've miraculously stayed up, we start selling the crown jewels, or what's left, call them the fallen diamonds - Szmodics, Carter, anyone with value basically. No money is re-invested however and people begin to question this. It can't be FFP, we've sold millions of £ of players, it can't be the Indian courts, the club told us this doesn't effect us now, so why aren't we spending? Questions get asked of Waggot - he gets uncomfortable. Outcome? The club releases another statement/interview saying (paraphrased) "Oh, it turned out that the owners sending funds was effected, but we never said it wasn't we said it shouldn't be!"
In this scenario, I think/hope what's left of the passive fanbase will realise we're still owned by idiots and they'll never do what's right by us and sell

There's also the use of "the Owners have always supported the club, which will continue as and when they are required to do so". You own the club, you've made all the decisions that have lead us to this point, of course you're fucking required to do so!

  11. With no end in sight, and seemingly this becoming a twice-yearly occasion, you have to begin asking what is the point for us (as fans)? We know unequivocally there will be no positive aspirations whilst the owners are prevented conveniently not allowed to invest in a promotion push, and as everyone knows if you stand still in this league you go backwards. We know the outcome before another ball is kicked, what is the point?

Just looking at AFC Wimbledon - how refreshing would fan ownership be?

    Welcome to the Dons Trust

The Dons Trust is the not-for-profit, democratic organisation that owns AFC Wimbledon football club.

For less than 50p per week, as a full member you get:

A say in the future of AFC Wimbledon – the Trust holds the controlling stake in the club

Priority entitlement (behind season ticket holders) to buy tickets for all-ticket matches

A democratic ‘one member, one vote’ role in the Trust’s decision making including a vote in the annual Dons Trust Board elections – and the right to stand for election yourself

Knowledge that your membership fee is being used to help fund the Trust and the club – the majority of the Trust’s annual income goes to support AFC Wimbledon Academy and in sponsorship of AFC Wimbledon Women’s team.

AFC Wimbledon made a club homeless on the whim of Chelsea. They’re bigots of the worst kind, I’d rather not be anything like them.

Would you want to come to Rovers, if originally being treated like this?

Bad smells always seem to follow Venkeys when connected with us.

They can’t get anything right and just drag our name through mud all the time.

I wish they would just F️k off. They are an embarrassment to us.

In fairness, in that scenario DM hasn’t been treated badly, it’s been miscommunication in the media…
