A sell out? Of what allocation? We’ve not sold out in the league there for years.
And even in the PL days we didn’t usually take many to friendlies. As an example, we’d often play at Deepdale and only take a thousand or so. Similar at Accy.
Get your point about being post lockdowns, but there is still a big malaise around the club... now Fylde, as a new ground, I’d imagine will generate more interest...
You may be right but everyone I’ve spoken to today thinks it’ll be great. Though I have just been told that the Beehive got ruined in the Horwich flood. Touch unfortunate.

Exactly why you laugh when you can…

Can’t say I disagree with you to be fair.
I really like all 4 & AWB, it’s great that we have such depth there. FWIW I think he will take 3, as Walker can play CB in a 3. Then it will be Trippier and either/or from James & TAA.
I wouldn’t disagree with that either myself, but I would say Trent has more ‘big game’ experience than James, and that may edge it, but also GS doesn’t seem to like TAA. -

I think mainly because he's quite a poor defender.
He's great going forward but I want my fullbacks to be able to defend first and foremost.
I’m not digging you out, but I saw this earlier. I think Trent is the best we have due to his versatility but I was shocked to see these stats.
Link didn’t go how I expected, here are the stats:
Defensive statistics this season (league games only)
Tackle success:
Trent 57.9%
Walker 54.3%
Trippier 43.9%
James 38.8%Dribbled past per 90:
Trent 0.71
Walker 0.74
James 1.14
Trippier 1.16Ball recoveries per 90:
Trent 9.97
Trippier 8.87
Walker 8.66
James 8.18 -
On the face of it, Bolton away is a brilliant fixture. Should be cheap, it’s local, and we will get a decent allocation. As it looks like it’ll be one of the first games for almost 18 months, I suspect a sellout (despite everyone on here saying they aren’t going again under TM - myself including) & hopefully a good day on the beers.
Added benefit of rubbing it into Bolton that they’re hosting us in a PSF, because they’re shit.
To be fair to the club (if they organised it rather than being approached), it’s a great bit of planning.

Trust me, he’s not!
Is this to say he’s actually pissed off about it?
If so, another reason to fuck him off. What a tosser if he’s really not made up for him!

Poor Lionel. His contract is up at Barca and now he’s going to be shown up by Ben, and replaced by him after a £75m transfer…

And I thought we where talking about the future.
Ah, you’re clearly being a pedantic pr!ck for the sake of it, I see.
I said their fan base would grow as everything improves there, so the fact that the last season with fans at all games, they achieved a higher than 5k attendance, it would make sense to believe they’d build on that.
Have a good weekend 👍🏼

I doubt very much if they will ever average over 5000.
Well given that they did that 2 years ago, I’d say that’s very wrong.

It is a big fan-base. It's just that most of them are Liverpool fans
I think that’s misleading. They have a very big catchment area and for a National League club do very well attendance wise. As they grow the club and interest in the club, their attendances will grow with them.

The club called me the other day to pick up my flag after it being on display since last summer.
I don’t live in Blackburn so collecting it mid week whilst I work isn’t exactly possible.
With both Blues & Roverstore being open again, why they cannot do it on a Saturday is beyond me, it’s not like there won’t be club staff at the ground.
Just another example of the club being utterly thoughtless when it comes to the fans.
**edit**
My reason for putting this comment in this thread is that I think we’ll be waiting a while for season tickets, because they treat us with such contempt.

True, but they are worth about $200 million together. Not sure it's a show that's going to make a significant boost in earnings.
Feels like a passion project.
Seems like they're really trying to connect with the locals:
"Reynolds and McElhenney have already endeared themselves to the North Wales town with donations to foodbanks, delivering gin to local pubs and paying to convert a disabled fan’s bathroom."
And apparently Rob has learnt the Welsh national anthem quite accurately. Good stuff, yeah, good luck to them. I'll probably watch.
A friend of mine is a Wrexham fan and he’s told me a lot about it in great detail.
It seems it all stemmed from Rob’s upbringing. Philly is in a similar economic position to Wrexham & when he decided he wanted to own a football club (I can’t remember why that was), he spent a long time researching and realised Wrexham are the perfect match.
Ambitious, decent sized club down on their luck with a big and passionate fanbase, and also (crucially) affordable for his project.
They aren’t likely to win the UCL, but they’re going to be secure for a very long time, well after the Hollywood sign is a distant memory, because it is a passion project and the plans are in motion to build the club up at an infrastructure level, board level and team level. My envy knows no bounds.

Mukesh Ambani owner of Mumbai Indians is also heavily involved in the India Super League (football) Link ,so with that and proximity to the V's of the Cricket team , my guess on the pure speculation lies here.
Fair enough, did not dig that deep! India’s richest man too, so can afford to lose a few Bob getting us promoted

I had a look too & concluded that Kolkata & Rajasthan’s owners seemed most likely to be interested due to their other ventures. I realise it doesn’t always work that way, but Lachlan Murdoch (son of Rupert) part-owning Rajasthan seems a more likely investor in an English football team to me than say Chennai’s owner who’s background is concrete.
I am sure it’s all hypothetical and nothing comes from it, but it’s a least a glimmer of hope…

Alan McNally on Soccer Saturday saying Mowbray's job is far from save.
Jeff Sterling on Soccer Saturday as just said that the Venkys came to a recent game. Any heard this?
I’d be very surprised if it’s true, given the situation.

Throwing something totally out of the blue but what about Aidy Boothroyd who is due to leave the England set up?
I won’t even check the scores if that useless twunt even gets mentioned in relation to being our manager.

I wouldn't have spotted it either if the other poster Banzai hadn't flagged it up to be honest mate.
Yeah it does look like it would take an exceptional sequence of results to relegate us now but stranger things have happened.....
....I'm hoping that freak outcome for this season is being saved for the premier league and the Dingles.
As funny as it would be, do you really want to face them again next season given how we’re likely to look? I definitely don’t!

As though the current situation paints the club in a good light?
It’s people’s right to protest, having a few pints doesn’t change that does it?
All I am saying is Ewood Park is not a long walk from the Brown Cow, Havelock etc. A bit of liquid courage and people may want to tell Mowbray he’s a prick in person.
-
With pubs half opening on Monday, if by Saturday we are 1/17 I can see some drunken folk making a beeline for Ewood anyway, regardless of anything being planned, when they realise they can make their voice heard for the first time…

Is it worth getting in touch with Plagiarism Begins At Home (https://instagram.com/plagiarism_begins_at_home?igshid=qmbt8txit7r6)? He’s a sticker guy but also a Rovers fan. If he’s willing & can produce a sticker with the QR code on, it could be plastered around the town perhaps?

Off for a long walk now - pity no pubs open to get a pint or two and a bite to round off the day.
Was being somewhat facetious.

Oh ye of little faith.
Okay, so it's not happened by 3.00 pm today but I still confidently think it will happen tomorrow if not today.
If it doesn't, I will resign from this MB and retire to my wine collection as I'm sure it will be more pleasurable!
Can we get this in writing?
Not that I don’t like you, it’s just quite the hill to die on. Must have some serious faith in him leaving.

"MG asked whether the club would be engaging with fans about ideas for the return to Ewood Park and about how season tickets would work for 21/22. SW said he wanted to get a group of fans together to discuss all these issues and asked LT to look at setting up a first meeting before the end of March"
Did this ever happen?
Did it fuck as like. That would be a sensible thing to do, and they are outlawed at boardroom level within this club.

We’re also playing Bradford away the week before Bolton apparently.
