  1. I wonder if another public lashing of Qatar is due. There boss is not taking it too well.
  2. I do think that forearm smashes, constant foot stomping and constant intimidation of match officials by players and the bench might have helped Iran a wee bit. Overall though Iran were the better team and much more punchable than the past it old men of Wales.
  3. Anyone can lose to anyone at WC Finals level. That is why England must go all out to beat the US and qualify tonight. Get the job done now when the door is open.
  4. England played well the other day. Iran played better today than the other day. Wales were not that good today and got bullied assisted by whatever that ref is who allowed red card offences to go unpunished. Iran could have won by at least 4-0, hit the post twice, Hennessey made a great save plus other chances. England to win tonight to put our progress beyond doubt.
  5. I think FIFA have their own RAINBOW montage, the Qataris just haven't joined the dots yet, hardly surprising for a Medieval society
  6. Portugal are still a bunch of poncy divers. Collectively dislikeable.
  7. More all round player and much more mobile than Gerrard. Duncan Edwards?
  8. He is a class act and could play in just about any position. Tall, athletic, tenacious, great engine and very skilful. He also seems to be a level headed young man destined to go high in the game. Don't join Man U., that's my only tip.
  9. I am convinced that it was the Qataris final decision, that it was taken along with the alcohol ban quite a while ago. It was never going to happen. Just a lie to get fans to attend etc etc etc FIFA don't care, they pick up all the cash tax free anyway.
  10. So ...... How's the actual football going? Or is that in a different thread? I watched all games yesterday and learnt that a Ref, his assistant and a regiment of VAR do not understand the basic laws of the game ... Unless ... Which is possible, they changed them and told no one.
  11. I'm mixing it up by watch Under the Cosh WC tour on YouTube. British football idiots abroad have nowt on those 3.
  12. I've missed 2, both were 2 am ko here and I just fell asleep. Also saving myself for Brazil and the 2 England late ko. The timing for all other games is ok for here. Great to see the Germans lose but respect to them for the team photo Good to see that a well executed hoofball can win a game at the WC, but it was fantastic control and finish.
  13. Maybe and quite similar to your style of posting which generally targets other posters. Notice that?
  14. It's to do with pre match perception and then moves on to what actually occured. Not really difficult to grasp is it.
  15. A Uruguayan VAR official calling attention to mild shirt tugging, I just could not make that up. It does explain allowing rugby tackles to go unpunished though.
  16. Micah getting criticised, not by me, I can't understand a word he's saying.
  17. I think Rice made one bad choice in the whole match but even then he received a poor pass when he was going towards our goal. He and Bellingham were immense. Good result that can only be a confidence builder, just what is needed in the opening game of a tournament.
  18. It's not so much that VAR gets decisions wrong but rather that those decisions are 'manufactured', I would say corrupt but I'm far too polite.
  19. That idea was binned years ago when it was moved to the Qatar cool season. Late pm and evenings there are just fine.
  20. They, Iran, are a good 'robust' side and the stadium will be pro Iran. More so if the FIFA app continues to favour discrimination. I hope Harry M. and all the lads have a great performance and victory.
  21. We are lucky to have you on here jim. Honesty, accuracy and realism.
  22. Their results history and ranking suggested they could put in a performance better than San Marino on a bad day. Have a look at their national football academy and it's recruitment process. It operates like and with the facilities of a top PL club. I don't blame fans for leaving, I did too, and went off to bed at about the 60th minute. A dreadful game to open a WC with. Let us hope Iran are similarly inept.
  23. Apparently its quite cool in the stadium, the only really high temperature is the heat map in the Qatar half of the pitch. I really did think Qatar would be better than that. It was not offside. Not when in happened, not when VAR decided it was and not when the photo shopped pic was shown.
  24. I plan to watch a lot but I'm watching the darts at present and not the opening stuff. If only Michael could finish his chances!
