We conceded midfield which then made Vale and Dolan redundant but exposed to criticism for appearing to do fuck all when in reality there was nowt coming their way. Dack was fortunate not to be exposed to this. Very happy with the win, we all are, but not so enamoured with these tactics at home to crap. It is a valid question to ask about a player who is supposed to be a striker. In reality he is only in football since he was a toddler because he was the son of a decent player and has benefitted from family and friends influence. It is amazing that any player who has received so much coaching for so long is so inept at the game and its basics. For some reason Leicester took a cheap punt on him after getting him via a Belgium sleight of hand, that hasn't worked out and now we are in line to be the suckers. He is 24 in a couple of months time and will never be good enough for the Championship. Ever. By all accounts he has been useless in recent youth game appearances and his reward is more first team appearances. Mind boggling stuff. Get rid, a waste of resources.

In the game I watched Szmodics gave the ball away countless times, couldn't pass wind and easily brushed of the ball. He was still better than Travis, Hirst and Vale combined. SW was shocking too AW was our best player but even he was missing for the first 15 minutes and then left early. Morton played well and BBD put a shift in against the odds in that he rarely got a decent pass. Dack unlucky not to score, Brittain should have.

So, 5 of that Burnley team are over age 23. In our starting team v Brum we had 6 over age 23, 2x age 23, 1x age 22, 1 x age 19, 1 x age 18. Brittain age 24 and Szmodics age 27 were both unavailable and would maybe have replaced the 18 and 22 year olds if fit. Our strongest starting team is not as 'young' as we like to portray but young and inexperienced sounds good. Our bench was young that game, the injuries a factor and the baffling omission of Dack.

Where are these allegations being made? Apart from here that is.

If that was the case Dack would already be in the PL and way out of the reach of a rookie manager.
