Well that too 😬 - but as I say, more embarrassed about the flag nonsense than the football.
Can you elaborate?
I saw the club banned flags when Everton came. Due to their PL protest?
I'm a bit lost with your rage over it. Am I missing something?

Always felt relegation was the most likely outcome but second half of the season we need to play consistently well if we hope to come straight back up. I might be an outlier but I see improvement week on week, it’s just you can’t have a whole team ‘learning on the job’ against experienced top level players if you want to stay up
Can't argue with any of that. Seems a very fair assessment.
I like VK a lot as a person.
I'm not convinced as a manager yet.
Maybe lucky for you my judgements are often wrong.

No update sorry - & I stayed away as requested by quite a few.
Ah, you're smarting from some barbs on here as well as the season results. Makes sense.
You have faith in VK's style and plan?
Merry Christmas too.

I suspect there is more than meets the eye to this story.
Perhaps Szmodics has approached JDT and requested to be left out.
He’s recently withdrawn from the Ireland squad for family reasons.
Fair enough, hadn't considered off field issues, and was taking it at face value.
I've had a crap week though, and seeing Markanday and Ennis on the teamsheet a few pages back has sucked all the Xmas cheer out of me.
And I've really rooted for Markanday. Thought he could be a Championship Salah. 😂😂

Am I the only one throwing my toys out the pram about Szmodics?
If the fans have put all this effort into getting a good crowd in the stadium, seems a bit of a gut punch to then not let them see The Championship top scorer in action.
Particularly for such a poxy reason. Couldn't care less about the sports science.
Rest him the next 2 games if need be. You've got 'new faces' here, and the idea is to entice them back.
I'm in a full on strop about it. Particularly when you have people like Shearer ridiculing game fatigue recently.
Edit for reference:

Wicket on final ball, but my word, that was painful to watch:

Ha. Griezmann in managing us with a Venky's budget.
Good luck with that Antoine.
Feel like cheat mode may have to be enabled.

Moran at fault there.
We know the risks with that style of play tho.
Tbf haven't lost many goals recently considering how often we piss about with the tippy-tappy on edge of our box.

What a time to miss the goal.
Great move.

Frustrating this.
Every pass is nearly there and almost good.

I see the point there, but I’m confident it’s a poor ruling, as a result of that argument. Sliding on the ground is dynamic and shouldn’t need support, making your body a bigger obstacle with the use of your arm - natural or otherwise - is gaining an unfair advantage, as far as I can tell.
In the Prem with VAR I think each one wud be examined on it's own merit.
Was introduced to stop the ridiculous, accidental ones where a player's back was turned and falling to ground. Ridiculous penalties were being given.
Today's one I can see the debate. Definitely stopped the ball going into the 6 yard box, and a potential goal opportunity.
Personally, didn't think it was. But I'm not adamant.

You’re telling me that I you do a handstand on the goal line and the ball strikes your arm to stay out, it’s not handball?
Is a handstand a natural position to be in during a football match?

Siggy looks like he's actually warming up, so I may get my wish.
It seems to be Leonard wearing a Siggy suit.
Same sloppy play.

Can't be handball if you're supporting yourself on the ground
Yep, I think they've written it into the laws specifically.
If the hand is where it would be naturally to support body, no foul.
Thought these commentators would know that.

Two very poor passes/hold up play from Leonard.

Stunned by Mowbray sacking.
Dack must be feeling stranded.
Genuinely not looking to stick the boot into Dack, but his signing probably contributed to the sacking.
You bring someone in from your old club that you worked with for years, that you should have the inside scoop on.
And then it goes.....how it's gone.
Not a good look.
And I'm genuinely gutted how Dack's career has nosedived after 2 bad injuries. He was so close to the top.
Bad decision from Mowbray though.

Sam Curran's 2.5 death overs went for 53 runs.
Wow.

Going to be bringing my daughter to her first ever live football match for this.
And wife to Ewood for first time in over a decade.
They don’t really like football, so if the aim was to add 2 miserable faces to the crowd, we're going to be absolutely nailing it! 😂

So it’s now 9 games we’ve lost in a row to the promoted league 1 teams away from home. Just shows how weak we are really
A big fat zero points from 27 on offer makes it sound even worse.
Or 4 from 36 if we include the year before.
Awful.

Definitely half a chance this season that the top 3 in the Championship will be all of last seasons relegated clubs and the bottom 3 in the Premier League will be all 3 promoted clubs. Not sure if that's happened before or not.
In the Premier League era all 3 relegated teams have never bounced back up.
And only once has all 3 promoted teams gone straight back down. 1997-98 season - Barnsley, Bolton, Crystal Palace.
So, it would be quite a seismic shift if both happened this season.
