    Stunned by Mowbray sacking.

    Dack must be feeling stranded.

Genuinely not looking to stick the boot into Dack, but his signing probably contributed to the sacking.

You bring someone in from your old club that you worked with for years, that you should have the inside scoop on.

And then it goes.....how it's gone.

    Not a good look.

And I'm genuinely gutted how Dack's career has nosedived after 2 bad injuries. He was so close to the top.

    Bad decision from Mowbray though.

Definitely half a chance this season that the top 3 in the Championship will be all of last seasons relegated clubs and the bottom 3 in the Premier League will be all 3 promoted clubs. Not sure if that's happened before or not.

In the Premier League era all 3 relegated teams have never bounced back up.

And only once has all 3 promoted teams gone straight back down. 1997-98 season - Barnsley, Bolton, Crystal Palace.

So, it would be quite a seismic shift if both happened this season.

Can I ask why my reply to the North End fan was deleted when I was within my rights to respond to his accusation of racism. If it was because I called him a p**** fair enough but if not that is out of order when I reacted to his nasty, completely untrue post.

    Course you can.

It's just collateral damage I'm afraid. If I don't hide your post, everyone can still read his.

That, then would cause many more people to be (quite rightly) offended by it, and react similar to you.

The thread then goes way off topic, and I personally didn't think his comment deserved that oxygen.

Please don't take it personally, we don't like hiding poster contributions, but sometimes think it's the best choice for the board in general.

I also enjoy reading other fans opinions as is often the case it appears that the football fan in general and the difference of opinions on the same subject are so varied they are almost impossible to understand.

Interesting that you only care about said opinions when Preston have beaten or drawn with us.

That thirst for knowledge seems to have waned when we beat you 3-0 and 4-1.

    Weird.

I think ESPN are using Chelsea TV commentators, so I’ve switched it to a channel with Spanish. Can’t understand them, but it’s much better.

He's given us no credit whatsoever.

Despite seeming to have a good bit of knowledge on Rovers- Travis nearly leaving in summer, referencing our QPR/Plymouth contrasting performances- that's more than the average mainstream channels.

And yet has panned us despite the obvious gulf in cost and quality.

Lol / just got home drunk. Thought I’d read some informed views on the game from our fierce rivals. Sadly all I see is green.

..... Our season won’t be decided by games against one of the best teams in history or Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool etc. It’s fair to say the odds suggest we will be relegated but there is still a long way to go. I didn’t love tonight but expected it. I’ll come back 10 games in and see where we are. Have a cracking weekend everyone.

    1) I think we'll finish 14/15th, won't live up to all of the hype but will be safe enough .... expect words like " consolidation ", " learning process " and " player development " ..

    Any updates gents?

Can't speak for everyone, but I suspect your presence might be more warmly received this season than it was last. 😜

I’ll be damned if I know what the forward pass rule is anymore.

    The linesman's tight there.

Can understand it on breaks when they're not up with play.

It's the VAR virus. They bottle it and figure a replay will rule out any try.

But very few breaks are trys. So we just end up with it being flung forward regularly.

Kaminski was as good as anyone in this league.

Kaminski was a quality goalkeeper. He should have been as untouchable as BBD was last season.

    Accepted.

Wasn't even so much a comment about the keepers, more the yin yang of life.

We had all that stability and dependency in net for a decade plus.

Now we're being punished with clangers season after season.

Maybe in my head, but like with 85+ goals conceded, I'd love to see our stats for goalkeeper error last 10 years. Got to be up there compared to other teams.

I have a theory about bright kits, that they make it easier for the opposition to play against you, as your movement is more easily tracked due to the light colour, which makes for more reliable assessment of where you and the ball are heading.

We battered them in black at the end of last season. Not sure we will have the same outcome this evening, with our hi-viz safety kit on.

    Anyway, feck it - COYB!!

But surely that theory can also be applied to us attacking.

The CM with head down on the ball can easier spot the winger/ST run from corner of eye.

There must have been some studies done on this kind of stuff.
