<sarcasm>It'll be a shame that the BBC will soon lose the MOTD Premiership games and get the Fizzy Pop league</sarcasm> No more Top 4 love-ins then!

Looks like Wright has quit.

I do like his quote about being linked with the England job
"I've got the passion but no idea of tactics - I'd be like a black Kevin Keegan." -
Have read that the second new Indiana Jones trailer is released online sometime this week. Don't know where or when, though.

They need to go on that break abroad more often!!!!

For those into retro gaming, it looks like there'll be more games added to the Wii Virtual Console with the C64 and Sega Master System catalogues being added.

New Indiana Jones teaser trailer, sound is a bit quiet and is a cam job, but still looks pretty good. Can't wait to see this!

I've heard its good, but they've done a couple of extended episodes like this, and they arent as great because they can get the jokes in thick and fast in the 20minute episodes.
I did enjoy the Family Guy Star Wars episode, but yes it did seem rushed and glossed over most of it. But then it is a 40 min spoof of a 2 hour film. I have heard that they might be up for doing other Star Wars spoof episodes too.

Just finished watching Cloverfield and by no means is it film of the year. For a film shot from someones camcorder, it's about 1000 times better than Blair Witch but then again so is Bean and Speed 2.
Anyway, I'm bordering straight down the middle, didn't hate it but didn't love it. It's very short (the length of a DV cam tape ie 1hr 15mins) and the story goes absolutely nowhere. Run around, run around some more, run around some more. The ending was predictable, mainly because of the opening titles. And isn't it amazing that in a place the size of Manhattan, the monster always turns up in the same place as the main characters. That all sounds very negative but on the plus side it was very well set out and well realised. Quite suspensful just I shame I didn't care about the characters one bit.
Agree. Thought it was alright, although could be because I had a dodgy copy Skipped through the crap at the beginning at the party though. Also thought it was quite similar to Blair Witch at the end. Heard there may be plans for a sequel, no idea if it would be in the same style but with a different perspective (military?) or more of a 'proper' movie instead. Will have to wait and see.

Watched the new Coen Brothers film 'No Country For Old Men'. Thought it was alright, more in the style of Fargo. But although I'm a fan of their films, I don't think it's quite the masterpiece that some reviews say it is.

Got a controller for around £7.99 and a gamecube memory card for around the same.
Gamestation (at least round my way) have an offer on certain GC games too where it's 2 for £20 or 4 for £20. Some of the GC games are pretty decent, having picked up Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Special Edition (includes the LoZ Ocarina of Time from the N64 as a bonus disc) and Tales of Symphonia (into my RPG games ) as well as NHL 06. Just need a decent GC footy game now.

Love my Wii, even moreso since I've recently splashed out on a new 32" LCD telly, looks pretty good.
Also like the fact that you can still play the old Gamecube games and have been picking up a few via ebay for cheap.
Looking forward to seeing what titles are lined up for 2008.

That'll be Shearer's cue this time.

If Benni is showing disinterest, considering his age and how far he's into his contract, selling him now or in summer could be worth doing as we would at least get a decent valuation for him.
-
Remember ol 'Stevie G' threw a hissy fit after getting subbed in the Liverpool derby, so imagine him getting dropped by England!
-
Could always bring up Greece, Denmark winning the Euros as an example perhaps? Not really any standout players (or at least as I can remember), compared to other players from the other nations, but they played very well as a team, something that England consistently fail to do well.
-
Hopefully the sooner the better. Will see if the World Cup draw on Sunday does us any favours this time?! Would be nice for a change.

Anyone hear what Craig Johnston was saying on SSN this morning?
His comments about nurturing the grass-roots level and on other things were spot on and totally agree with him. Not had a look, but it might be mentioned on the Sky Sports web?

There could be a vacancy at Big Club & Wigan that need filled

If we fail to qualify for Euro 2008, will Brian Barwick have the balls to admit that he made a mistake in appointing McClaren ?
I think the whole of England knows the answer to that!

He'll probably go back to Spain for the gazzillionth time again. Probably Sociedad (again) as Coleman is being linked with the Bolton job.
-
With Tossack's comments, it's always very negative. Must be a 70's Liverpool thing as Souness also used to be with that train of thought.
Hughes got to the brink of qualifying losing only in the Playoffs and improved the side drastically, whereas Tossack . . . not even remotely close to qualifying for anything and has taken the team backwards.

Definitely thinking of getting myself a Wii, have got a DS Lite, which is enough to tide me over at the mo and kind of got me back into gaming a bit. Will hang off until around Nov/Dec though and see what games/bundles are available then.

Poop. I forgot (or tried to forget) about that. Hopefully they'll have a shake up for their coverage, although that's probably a bit of wishful thinking
