1 GBP = 2.68448 NZD
According to xe.com currency converting website. Works out to around £57,309 a week if you want to work out the math (yes I am bored at work )

Nice behinds the scenes article.

That could be going a bit too far though

Wouldn't even consider getting Duff back. Too many injuries and his probable wages, plus he's definitely not the same player as he was with us. As much as Dunn has surprised us with is current form and fitness, I'd rather we bring in someone younger and new than an ex-player that is past his best.

There`s only one Jack Walker!
In an age where football clubs are being bought up by faceless companies, oil gangsters & tyrants in the hope of making a quick buck.....let us be thankful that one of us yes US , Jack Walker lived out the dream of millions of football fans all over the world. He bought the club he`d supported as a boy, turned it around & made them champions of England!
Many have tried to emulate what Jack did, most have failed or faded away.
We as Blackburn Rovers fans should never forget how lucky we are to have had one of our own live out the fantasy we can only dream of!
Thanks for the ride Jack!
THERE`S ONLY ONE JACK WALKER!!!!
(wouldn`t it be a fitting tribute if everybody stood & chanted his name on Sunday....just to let everyone know we`ll never forget him! )
Totally agree as well. RIP Jack

Yep - very much like watching an extended episode of the later series. The show has lost it's way - not even in Family Guy's league.
Totally agree with that. Felt that they could've done so much more with it - get away with stuff they couldn't put in a TV episode, or even with what Family Guy does on DVD - but they bottled it and just did an extended episode. No need for a Simpsons Movie, on that basis.
Family Guy did do an extended episode (Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story) and that kind of worked, although I do remember watching it on BBC3 or FX in a couple of parts.

True. Plus the cash it's made at the box office.

Just back from Transformers. It's absolutely stonking blockbuster entertainment, a must-see for kids and adults alike. In addition to the absolutely jaw-dropping visuals there are myriad jokes that keep the tone very tongue in cheek.
Have heard that Transformers 2 has been given the green light for production!

Seen Die Hard 4.0 and is your typical silly action flick, and enjoyable stuff. But doesn't feel like its a Die Hard film though. Probably as it was originally just supposed to be a generic action flick then they decided later on for it to be a Die Hard.
I've also seen Transformers. Again, your typical Michael Bay film - silly, plenty of action, top CGI, but with a paper-thin plot. Despite this, is still very enjoyable and worth seeing. The fight at the end, Carnage with a capital C! Thanks to Citroen for inspiring this film!

Nice of the BBC to requote McCarthy about leaving too.
-
Unless they're getting rid of Crouch as well.
-
As we got him for relatively on the cheap, will be a healthy profit when he gets sold. But yeah, do agree with his arrogance
-
Also, you've got Dario Marcolin listed twice. Very impressive list though!
-
its a damm god shame because he's a very good player, but he wants out and i don't know why he has not handed in a transfer request in yet
Could be the same as Barton when he left City, as he'd probably want a 'loyalty' bonus for not handing ina request? Although that term these days is very questionable.

I'm sick to death about him gobbing off about how he'd like to play for Chelsea.
I don't care how carefully he phrases it, it's disrespectful to the club.
Totally agree.
Granted he did say along the lines of when he signed for us that he'd use us as a stepping stone to a bigger club. But the way he's gone about mouthing off to anyone and their dog (although he did do the same at Porto so it's kind of expected), is highly disrespectful to anyone involved with Rovers. Although on the clip I saw on SSN, it did seem as though someone may have told him to tone it down a bit. Hopefully when pre-season comes around Hughes will have stern words with him and lay down the law.
Not too fussed if he does leave, as I'm sure he'd go for a hefty fee, especially if WHammers are interested and keep throwing their wallet around at anything, which would mean Hughes could have plenty of cash to get a decent replacement or two.

Newsnow have been posting up links with West Ham now. Old news I know, but Sparky should let them know no deal as well.

there has always been an air of inevitability, regarding benni moving on, so i'm not too upset about it (particularly as bellamy is ringing his old collegues telling them he cant wait to come back! )
every cloud........
All fine and good ringing up his old colleagues but just ring up MH & JW and they'll be able to sort it out.

If he is, just make sure he wears a helmet!

was reading an interesting article with johnny depp, that was printed even before filming for the 3rd episode began. he says that he would love to keep the charachter going. and as a ispeak plans are afoot to produce a 4th installment. exactly what the storyline will be, i can't think because unlike the first 3, the 4th would have to be a completely differnt story and plot.
I think that they way the 3rd one finishes, it sets up the possibility for another movie to get made.

According to some of the media, Scolari has said that he's been approached or is interested in the Chelsea job. Be interesting to see if Benni still wants to benchwarm at Chelsea if Mourinho isn't there.
-
I seem to remember Benni getting a bit sulky when he was benched for a bit during the season, but I suppose if he was to move to a CL club, he'd probably still warm the bench but the difference being he'd be getting a big fat wedge in his wallet.

With the rumours of Drogba looking to leave then Chelsea could very well go for McCarthy in that case. But I do wish that players keep their thoughts to themselves sometimes, as the comments they make in the big-club loving media, don't really endear themselves.
But it's the same old same old with the media, they always try to 'help' sell the best players outside of the Top 4 to the Top 4. I'm just glad we have a very competent management team on and off the pitch that can deal with this type of thing in the proper way. Not by blabbing to the media at every occasion!!!!
-
McCarthy does say he's not wanting to leave, but if a CL club were to come in . . .
Does sound like a come-and-get-me from him. Not a good move from him, especially with it only being a week since the Premiership finished. Would like to see what Hughes, JW think of McCarthy's comments and what they do about it.

May be worth downloading the K-Lite codec pack, shouldn't have any problems with viewing videos afterwards.
