I do think that if they made it Champions only, it would massively dilute the quality of the Champions League. The knockout stages tend to provide brilliant entertainment and that might not be the case if you made it one team per country.
Why does that matter? It will just make the uefa cup or whatever its called now, stronger, like it was in the 90s

Absolutely fucking disgraceful. Makes my blood boil. Replays need to be brought back throughout the competition. Greed and money grabbing and just outright lying.
These top clubs have huge squads often at the detriment of others and vacuum up all the talent (think Philipps to Spurs) and yet complain about fixtures.
Oh but don't worry, they'll spend 2 months in pre season flying around the globe several times packing in as many games as possible.
Go to hell FA, and take your shite European competitions with you

What an incredible result! Sensational. Thus division is a crazy place, but how often does it happen at the end of the season? Teams at the top of the table bottomish of the form table, with the relegation sides near the top.
The other part I'm really proud about was that I felt we were a little mugged off by the scheduling - leeds played at home on Tues, whereas we were away on Wed the other side of the country.
However our fitness and determination was fantastic.
Odds were 30-1 for us to go down on bet365 when i checked. Hopefully the bookie is always right!

Not to mention getting to the FA cup semi final at the expense of other clubs. Two points does not act as a deterrent, surely.
Actually great point, and that bloody team in the fa cup, just so happened to be us again!

2 point deduction for signing players you couldn’t afford to pay for who helped you get promoted and come back down £100 million pounds richer…

Outrageous that they effectively signed a player in front of us, by using money that should have gone to other clubs and was withheld. How is that punishment for such obvious cheating?
We would have made the playoffs with that signing for sure.

Most likely also sell out 7,000 to Cov too.

Should walk tonight for those subs alone. Pathetic

I haven't seen the game, but from all accounts he came on and played well?

In another note, what has happened to our away support?!
1,200 at Sunderland at 32 quid a ticket when we haven't won sway since November and what once this calander year? We wouldn't have taken half that flying high in the prem!

Whether it is calm and well reasoned or not, I completely agree. Absolute fraud. He has now entered the Coyle/Kean hall of fame, and even that pair of C U Next TuesdayS managed to at least win the odd game.
Bereft of intent. Defensive. Doesn't look like scoring. Utter shite

I'll take that as a wind up!
No matter what we think of Gally, he works hard & would've been replaced by........ nothing!!
Quite the opposite. His contract is expiring and although he has purple patches, has huge periods of being useless. Easily replaceable and the fact we were gonna get 2.5m or so for him, lamentable decision not to sell.
The fact his replacement fell through doesn't change that.

Interesting that we had to fight off Ipswich for Gally in January.
Why did we?!

Absolute fraud this wanker.
Defensive, boring draw specialist. That gets you relegated.
Another cheap knock-off venky job. And given a bloody 2 a half year deal so we can't get rid, cos it'll cost these cheapskates too much
Pathetic

Im struggling to remember a player who goes through such extreme runs of form (either good or bad) than Dolan.
There are months he looks unplayable and a vital cog in the team with assists, goals and workrate. Then there are other months where calling him a national league player would be generous!
All players go through good and bad form or course, I just find his particularly extreme!

Well Ennis was a good deal! Everything else...

This Ennis to Stoke deal seems odd. Anyone got any more details. LET says permanent deal. Any fee?

Get these C U Next TuesdayS out of our club now.
Another almighty shambles.

I would disagree, he is a free transfer and has looked ok in the few appearances he has made. Far too early to write him off imo.
Agree, he's been relatively poor so far, but he's a free so all the risk goes out. Worst come to worst you could probably flog him for a nominal fee (ala Nuttall) and everyone moves on with limited financial damage.

I cringe every time this thread come back to the top of the board..

Big game to win that one. Either us or Wrexham at home to Newcastle will inevitably be on tv. That plus prize money for progressing, sponsorship, radio fees, hospitality etc, a potential 25k plus crowd at Ewood would mean beating Wrexham would have been worth 500-750k. Swag will be happy..

I feel like every team has a certain number of injury time goals assigned to them by the football Gods in a season. Unfortunately it often happens to be that ours are scored when we're already winning the game...

pne have are falling apart after their cup final win, they`ve reached the pinnacle of their ambition, fluking a win over rovers and now they have nothing left to play for😆
All the more frustrating we didn't pick up any points. They are a poor side and it is incredibly frustrating that swansea and pne and Ewood yielded no points.

I find myself cheering on shite clubs like Luton and Bournemouth.. Such is life, lets widen that gap!!

Regardless of what happens next weekend, (and on the balance of probabilities we'll most likely just have enough) - this guy clearly ain't good enough to take us forward. Set up not to loose against a knackered team, at home, with owt to play for, when we need the win.
