  1. Anyone know what kind of travelling numbers we had there?

Another fantastic win, great to see us so solid. No shots on target, sounds like some of our away days earlier in the season!

Onwards and upwards. Desperately hoping that either Cov is on or they award us the 3 points, don't want the game rearranged as that will stop the momentum!

I’ve no issue in 1875 club members getting first dibs. I find it strange, however, that they split the 1875 club phasing into two parts, those with away games and those without games, when everyone was guaranteed a ticket. However 1875+ST having priority was what was announced, and that is what has happened. Fair enough.

However when there is only a couple of hundred left in phase 3 today, the ‘fair’ way to proceed would be to go to season ticket holders with away games. The online system can easily do it as strangely they did it for phase 1 (which wasn’t what was advertised at the start of the season). I don’t think anyone can really argue that that wouldn’t have been the fairest way for this next phase.

Completely agree Hasta, the whole thing was done bizarrely imo. Without getting into the ins and outs of the 1875 side of things, why not just have that as one phase if they had enough tickets.

Then as there is plenty of time until the game I don't see why with only 500 ish remaining it didn't go to ST holders with away games. Ie day 1, ST with 6 away games, then day 2 with 5 games etc until sold out out. Surely that would have made more sense than 7k season ticket holders going for a few 100 tickets?!

As per usual another Waggot stuff up

Loving their failure so far. Can't stand the whinging scousers. I think klopp's time at Liverpool is coming to an end. For all the 'success' he's had, he's only won 2 major trophies in 7 years. Compare that to pep, there's no doubt who's better

Pep took the best team in the country and spent a few 100m enforcing that. Klopp rebuilt Liverpool and has a lower net spend then anyone else in the top 6. Klopp is 10 times the manager Guardiola is.

Markanday has been very poor for the U21s

Rigger you keep saying this every time his name is mentioned on here. Don't get me wrong I understand that you watch the U21s so I respect your opinion; but Markanday seems to get an assist and goal every U21 game he plays as well as often testing the goalie and setting up chances for others..

  5. Excellent victory today, I'm delighted as Birmingham are on a good run and looked very dangerous. Good thing now that we have beaten them and got them out the way is I'm sure others will drop points against them. Obviously the Dingles did in mid-week and their next two games are QPR and Millwall.

I still find it odd that Dack can't get on the bench, our bench looks weak, what if we a goal down after an hour?

Pleased for Gally, his confidence seems sky high right now. Pleased we have a week off now, gives us a chance to have a rest and get a couple back.

  6. Our position really does hammer home the point though doesnt it?

If you are going for promotion all this avoiding defeat stuff is largely bollocks. People always love these runs of 10, 12 or 15 games unbeaten etc, but if half of them are draws..?

The key is winning games and don't worry about loosing along the way!

Gary Flitcroft.  I think the clubs philosophy back then was if anyone played well against us we would sign them.

Think there was a fella Gary Croft aswell.

That 1999 team was full of duds

Crazy comment! He was a fixture of our midfield for not far off a decade.

Remember Croft scoring a scorcher against Chelsea in our early season title challenge in 97/98

  8. Couldn't find another Sam Gally thread..

I think today shows that if you play him in the right position and give him some service he can do a job at this level.

Yes he is inconsistent and yes he misses plenty of good chances, but stop all this wide forward bollox and you've got a guy who can get many 15 goals a season..

Works hard, good in the air and a powerful strike on him

  9. Fantastic result. Yet more evidence for the round pegs in round holes mentality. Who would have thought playing Gally down the middle as a striker and Brittain as rwb (instead of a left footed attacking player) would work?

To think if we'd won at Wigan (a side who hadn't won at home for donkeys) we'd be sitting here 2 points clear top of the league!

Lost 8 points so far from it - Blackpool, WBA, Cardiff and now today. Don’t know if it’s mental, stamina or what but it is a problem and something the manager needs to address. Teams know if they can stay in the game they will get a goal late on. It is already costing us and will likely cost us a too 6 finish if we can’t sort it.

On the other side of that, we haven't scored a 90th min or later equaliser or winner for over a season. I mean I can't even remember the last time we did..!
