  1. Just on a side note, watching City vs Swindon in the cup; 2nd goal coming from fannying about with it at the back, then dispossessed leading to a goal. Having seen the highlights from every championship goal this season, it's amazing how many times this happens. Such a ridiculous was to concede a goal. Swansea being at the forefront of this, architects of their own downfall.

So glad we don't play in this bs style anymore

Fulham fans must be looking at what's going on and thinking WTF? How did the team we beat 7-0 on their own patch end up level on points with us less than two months later? Keeping in mind we were 12th at the time and 12 points behind Fulham who were still 2nd.

Much like BBD's sudden transformation, it's unfathomable how we've ended up in this position. Like somebody went into the in-game editor in Football Manager, ramped up BBD's stats before the season started and then did the same for Mowbray's stats after the 7-0.

Same with wba fans. They beat us so comfortably at Ewood earlier in the season, despite the scoreline it was 2-1 going on 4-1. Must be looking at the table and seeing themselves 4 points behind us thinking wtf happened?!

  3. Really excellent victory. In some ways these kind of 3 points are more satisfying then blowing teams away 4-0. We missed a few chances, conceded a really poor and unlucky goal-all the hallmarks for a classic championship upset. Instead we stuck at and got the 3 points. Great to see.

Looking forward to Sunday now! Huddersfield play the day after us and also played boxing day, so we should he fresher.

What the point in having vaccine passports, wearing face masks and people get vaccination if we have another lockdown?

I don't always agree with everything you write (and having seen your posts on the politics page I defo don't agree with you there!), but you are absolutely spot on here. It's a slap in the face for all of us who do the right thing, have been vax/booster, wear masks etc.

I won't say any more as I don't want another thread to be dominated by covid.

  5. I thought that the ticket prices for Barnsley being cat C/£20 meant that Waggot had finally got the message (yes I realise it is technically a mid week game, but it is during the Christmas festive period so I thought they'd make it a Cat B on that excuse)..

But no ol' Swag comes up with another special for Huddersfield. New years day, Rovers going well, decent away support and bang ruins all of that with Cat A prices. Ffs

We could barely muster 1,000 to Goodison, let's be brutally honest....folk have short memories indeed.

You're missing the point. We weren't the ones wanking on about attendances all the time. We said to them that if the situation was reversed you'd do the same.. They never believed us, not superior Burnley...now look at them. Home games look half empty, taking the reduced allocation at every away day and not selling out..

Of course, a club of their size are not going to keep their away followings high and home ground full, when it isn’t cheap, and the PL novelty has worn off and you are just trying to survive.

All fair enough, but they certainly didn’t want to hear it from us back in the day, as it would all be very different if we switched places…

Exactly this. I remember them going on and on and on about it when our away support dropped in the late 2000s time. 'We'll never be like you, Burnley is a football town'..

I always said to the dingles that if they maintain their position in the prem for a while and the novelty wears off, they'll be the same if not worse. Now look at them. Not to mention away tickets are capped at 30 quid. Alot of ours were 35-50 quid and that was 15 Yeats ago!

    Great time to play Stoke.

We are rolling and they have key absentees.

Unbelievably generous odds on Rovers' win at almost 3/1 on one of the exchanges.  Lumped on and fully expect Rovers' cash machine to keep paying out!  Also stuck a tenner on 3-1 to Rovers at 40/1.  Fill yer boots.

I don't remember seeing your bets against peterborough in that match thread? I'd have thought you'd made a packet in that game. Rovers to win with Diaz to score or similar?

I certainly hope you're right. Why are you so confident about that though? He has 50% more goals than the next guy on the list (who thankfully is our guy). He's consistently been a goal machine at this level. Big, strong as an ox. Puts the frighteners on me frankly! Thankfully Lenihan is strong too, but I think it will take more than that to keep him quiet.

Really annoyed me how a prem club didn't come in for him in the summer..

If we're looking at League One managers then I'm not sure why Ainsworth should be ahead of Ryan Lowe. Did a good job at Bury in terrible conditions, got Plymouth out of League Two at the first time of asking and now has them sat top of League One.

It seems to me that there is too much heart over head going into the Ainsworth one. If he didn't have a connection to Blackburn he would barely be mentioned.

I would be delighted with Ainsworth. For alot of people it's the passion and enthusiasm he would bring. After 4 years of dreary, repetitive, double speak press conferences where TM contradicts himself numerous times and generally just talks shite, not to mention the tactics and selections, people just want a plain talker who doesn't over complicated things. Ainsworth fits that bill perfectly!

Facebook/twitter is the same tbh. Majority want a change. Some people ask who but most don't disagree with the names. One or two comment they don't want long ball football. That's about it.

Yes I think the same. The second half performance against Coventry was awful and we weren't good enough against QPR.

Agreed Chaddy. The change was very noticeable on the Facebook pages. There are alot of 'in Tony we trust' clowns on there, but they were very quiet after the qpr game. Much more so then after Cov, because that was 'played well', 'we were unlucky', 'cov are 4th only expected a point' etc.

    Get him gone NOW
