Lol I wish it was for nothing. Was reported as something like 300k. To think we could have probably used his contract's wages to add another year to Kaminski's deal instead, and still had 300k left over.
Of the all that's taken place in the TM era this stink angers me the most. Considering we are basically skint and constantly up against ffp, so waste several 100 k on this non league standard keeper is criminal. Imagine if we used that fee and his wages to up the renewal terms offered to Rothwell et al?

I still think that they've missed a trick with the Preston and Blackpool games.
£32 down to £30 is hardly going to entice many more.
The pne and blackpool games were both cat A+ so its actually £36 down to £30 effectively. I think that's a good saving, because the cat A+ was a joke and 32 too steep for cat A also.
Sheff u game should be a real bumper crowd, you'd think they'd bring 5k plus at that price.

People just look at goals and assists, something he has improved on btw. Its not that though, he scares the life out of teams and can do stuff nobody else in this team can. I don't care if he gets the final pass or scores, he makes things happen. Been in top 3 players of season so far for me and him walking for free would be sacrilege. Nobody in our team breezes past 3, 4 or 5 players with ease like he does.
Whilst of course we need to judge players on goals and assists to a certain degree, it doesn't tell the whole story. It's not Rothwell's fault when a chance he creates isn't finished.
I saw a stat about 'good chances' created (yes I know hard to define, but still) and he was far and away top.

6 goals in a week. Mightly impressive!

Utter debacle today. Yes we have been a little unlucky with injuries, but his tactics and subs have cost us against luton, huddersfield and now blackpool.
This promising squad is being utterly misused by this pelican. Get him gone

Hey all. A couple of Facebook groups that I am on have got people selling tickets for £100 to £150 above face value. I would like to get a print screen and report to the club. Can anyone recommend the best place to send it. Is anyone else on the groups seeing the same thing?

Another missed opportunity. We could have gone 3rd (4th after wed night games) if we'd beaten a very average huddersfield side. Very frustrating although I guess that's your lot with TM.
Agree with Chaddy on that one, outside of wba, fulham and bournemouth it's anyone's game. All the rest of us are much of a muchness.

Big game this one, a real opportunity to make a statement. Huddersfield are a little out of form lost 3 of the last 4. I'm sure there will be a decent following so no reason why we can't get another victory.
Hopefully same team, otherwise Carter in for Lenihan.

I see the Cov ticket details have been released. Cat B game, surprised the cynical arse hasn't tried to cash in on the decent away following with them up the top of the league.

May 2010 - 10th placed finish in the PL.....
December 2010 - Sack Allardyce.... cue great delight of BRFC4EVA and others... Long Live Venkys!
May 2011 - Survive on last day of the season after dropping like a stone down the league.
May 2012 - Relegated.... cue, 'Well we didn't know they'd appoint Kean... it's not our fault.... VENKYS OUT'But those fans who thought it was shortsighted to sack him are the fools. Amazing stuff.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. You can prattle on all you like about 'who should have been appointed', but whenever you sack a manager there is an element of risk. When you sack a manager less than a month after buying the club, with no prior experience in the sport and against the extremely sound advice of the chairman.... well, it's an accident waiting to happen. But YOU celebrated it.
FOOL.
Garbage. Stop merging events that are mutually exclusive. I was happy that SA got sacked. I was also deeply unhappy that Venkys became our owners and livid that Kean was appointed manager. Why is that such a difficult concept?
As the other clubs I've mentioned, they've done perfectly fine without him.

I have to say I almost piddled myself with laughter.
Rumour is he also caused WW2 and shot JFK, only rumour mind.
Think you're missing the point here chief. The final 2 bolds that you've made was in reference to the appointment of Kean, but I didn't want to utter his name.
And as for the other two previously bolds, well they're both true aren't they?

Those fools booed Sam and made the appointment of Kean possible.
Made me puke then and still does. They are still in denial.
No we're not in denial. Why do fools like you think that 'bung Sam' was the only person capable of managing our club? He was boring, negative, regularly threw games against his big club mates and wanted out anyway. The big mistake was appointing that evil con merchant Kean in his place when there would have been 50 managers more suitable.
Do you think that Everton, or West ham, Palace or Wba are bothered that he is no longer their manager? No because they appointed someone better in his place.

Disgraceful competition which should be boycotted. I've no interest in that world cup and I hope it all goes completely tits up.

Give us back the extended highlights you fat useless prick!

Complete and utter waffling phycobabble. Going on about paying a man's wage and all sorts of other shite. Just keep your mouth shut and try not to mess up the starting x1 or subs too much

Found the below on a Rovers Facebook group which I believe BB was alluding to above. Our results over the last 3 years when we have been in and around the playoff spots. Backs up what weve always been saying. Can we do it against Cardiff and break our hoodoo?

I know it's a lot of 'ifs' but if we'd held on against luton and nabbed a winner today we'd be sitting in 2nd. Mad really
A brilliant day in terms of results for us, pretty much everyone around us lost or drew.

Sensational end. Hand ball red card on the line in injury time. Pen saved ala Suarez in 2010 world cup. Rovers even had chances after that to win the game

Couldnt even get the Celtic job? Ya, because they could get better and more experienced candidates. Look at our list of managers under Venkys if you don't comprehend where we are at on the pecking order, contrary to your blinkered view that we are somehow hot property to manage. It's a rogues gallery of misfits and never weres.
We would be lucky to have a high profile winner like Keane in the dug out.
Lucky? He is a scumbag and an even worse manager. Stay well away

Website saying extra tickets available for this one. Have we sold out the initial 2000 then? Be a good do if so 🙂

Excellent win tonight against dreadful opposition. Sets us up nicely for the tricky away game at Barnsley.
Considering who we are missing, I actually think we have an excellent squad. If only we had a new manager (I was a supporter of TM until last season's deathspiral debacle, but he's clearly gone stale and needs to go), then I think we could have a real good go this year.
Outside of Bournemouth, fulham and wba there is alot of dross around.

So we've now squandered 4 points at home after being 2 nil up against the mighty Luton and Coventry ffs.
Not to mention the huddersfield and blackpool debacles.
I've said it many times before, this is a very capable championship squad that outside of fulham, wba and bournemouth should be competing right at the top of the division. Unfortunately the manager means that will never happen. So frustrating, this is probably the last year before more of the squad is broken up.
