  1. Surely a 3k allocation is about fair. We got roughly 10% of their capacity, so 10% of ours being 3k.

Problem with sticking them in the upper tier, won't that mean that we'd have to leave the entire lower tier empty? Surely it's been to have them top and bottom in one third of the Darwen end?

  2. I don't understand why Rovers don't stagger it more so there isn't this mad rush?

They must roughly know how many are each category. So why not allocate on successive days?

    S/T with 1875 membership

S/T holders with 2 away days, then 1, then open to S/T holders

Per the rest of their schedule.

After all there are still 10 days to the game.

Instead, unsurprisingly, when it became open to the vast majority of fans on 1 day ie S/T holders  (thurs), it was chaos.

He is not qualifying via a grandparent. His father is Irish.

Also he announced live on tv that he is "going for a shite" he is clearly Irish.

Bet he has brown sauce in his coffee.

Oh really? Fair enough then, but I read in the article above that Roverboy posted that he had an Irish grandparent.

    Hi all,

I attended my first game yesterday and thought the match was great. I was a Bury season ticket holder for 27 years and it has taken me a while to get into football again, but I think after yesterday I may have found somewhere new to watch my football.

I just have a couple of questions:

    1. Was the football played yesterday always like that? I thought Blackburn played well and the match was pretty exciting to watch.

    2. I was sat in the Jack Walker Upper - I thought the view was brilliant - is this the best view in the ground or the older stand facing?

    Thanks

    Welcome!

However, as much as we need all the supporters we can get, please don't give up on Bury! Surely there will be a phoenix club starting in non league still playing at Gigg Lane soon enough who will need your support?!

I wasn’t going to make a thread on this as I didn’t think it warranted it but just wondered if anyone has had the same and conquered it?

Does anyone else just feel utterly fed up, maybe not even that maybe it’s just absolute apathy.

I read the transfer thread to try and get a bit of a spark of interest but there’s not much to get hyped about.

I don’t know if it’s just me but for the first time I recall I haven’t got a season ticket, despite being able to afford and being a 30 minute stroll away, I’ve been to two games all season (West Brom and Brum home so very enjoyable occasions) and watched 10 or so on TV but even then it’s hard to really take much interest as you just know as soon as we concede it’s game over.

I don’t blame the manager (solely) for this as the rot had set in for me already but after a lifetime of going to Ewood, and over a decade moderating on here I just don’t know if it’s passing me by now!

Anyone had a similar rut and come out the other side?

A couple of months later Tom, how are you feeling about it all? Good run, fa cup 1/4 etc?

Worth noting the playoff points tally right now is the lowest it’s been for years (I went back a few years and still haven’t found it as low as 55 points after 35 games, as well as 3rd being at a low on 60 too).

For me 70 should do it for playoffs. 4 wins from 11 could genuinely do the job for us.

In terms of predictions. I have us taking 15 more points and finishing on 73. Should be enough for 5th maybe.

Really interesting you say that. I was taking a look at league 1 for example. The team in 6th, (so obviously the last playoff place) Barnsley have 60 points already, but off just 32 games. By comparison, Norwich have 55 points from 35 games.

Championship is very congested, with everyone taking points off each other. The playoff points mark will be super low this year!

  7. I find this fuc&ing hilarious. All that bollocks about games having to kick off at 9am on a Sunday, bubble fixture etc. Sky come along, 'sure 8pm on a wed night is fine, no worries'. Just goes to show what a load of shite it all is. F**k sky and Murdoch btw

  8. I was an occasional poster on claretsmad for many years. Some people would spit feathers if you so much as posted, others would often actually come to your defense.

The key is to be respectful and self depreciating. No one minds you having a pop and defending your club as long as you didn't start it. However no one wants an opposition rival coming on and rubbing your nose in it or being abusive.

Sympatheticclaret and longers have been fine on here and are good sports. There have been other dingles on here who have been the opposite and are rightfully and quickly banned

  9. Gally seems like a real confidence player. Hopefully this kick starts a little run for him. He's never gonna be a world beater but if he just believed in himself more he'd be a serviceable championship striker!

Overall fantastic win. Obvious to me that GA didn't have enough time to really instil his own intensity and enthusiasm into QPR. I'm sure they'll improve going forward and hopefully take some points off our rivals. We may have caught them at a good time despite the whole managerial bounce lark.

I don't claim to be an 'ITK' in any way but a birdie told me tonight that the pendulum is looking like it will swing in our direction.

Considering that thus far it has been all in house for the EFL (initial decision and appeal) and they couldn't find in their favour..now that it has gone to arbitration, you'd think that favours us.

    But what do I know?!
