IIRC Matteo started his career as a left-back at Liverpool. Maybe he is rediscovering his form.That would only be good news, a big left-back who wont let ppl get past him easily. its not the size of the squad,its the fact that Sparky hasnt yet rested any players and played the same side 3 games in about a week. against Charlton I'd make a couple of changes.

I will be veryyy disappointed if we start against Charlton with the same team that started today. As someone said players are looking tired plus freshening things up for our 3rd game in one week is not a bad idea,considering we got Cardiff on saturday as well.

Its not too encouraging to hear we were crap performance wise when we all had thought we had turned the corner regarding consistency. Lets hope Monday against Charlton we get the required result, cause then more likely than not we will be about 6-7 points away from the relegation zone.

I dont think he is worth anywhere NEAR 2.5 million pounds in todays deflated market. 1.5 million at the most.Maybe about 2 million Euros would be fair. But im sure the mercenary steve bruce will want close to 3 million pounds in straight cash for him. He is fooling himself.

Nobody would ever pay 15 million for him. But unfortunately I feel if we do get 7 million for him, then the club would accept it. Id love for him to stay and for us to buy a couple of quality players to improve the team so he wouldnt even consider leaving.

Its most likely that Thommo will play instead of Reid. That would mean that MGP would be the most likely midfielder to come off the bench. Unless Hughes surprises all of us and plays with 5 in the middle, to keep it tight.
