I do believe that he did push him away with the forearm/elbow and some intent may have been there, but more of the "get out of the way we're losing" type not a malicious one.
Disagree. If you're running along and something hits you on the shoulder like that it's only natural to raise your arm to protect your face. The fact is he isn't looking at Van Persie, and suddenly he gets hit on the shoulder- it was a pure defensive reaction.

I know its been mentioned before but I can`t get the moment out of my head. It was when Arsenal`s 2nd went in. What a response from the fans. It was worth going for that moment alone. Only 17000 of us but it restored my faith.
Yeah it was brilliant. I was in the upper tier, row 16 behind the goal in the North End. When they scored, it was brilliant to look round at all the flags waving and people standing. Also enjoyed sitting outside a bar after a game with about 30 Rovers fans. Everytime Arsenal fans when past- everyone went silent and started going "SSsssssshhhhhhhhhhh!". Priceless.

I was 3rd going into the weekend, but the top two drew 3-3, and my win took me top by a point. I want to win the league- but I'm being careful not to get enough points to take me up. Don't think my teams ready for promotion yet. I'd rather spend another year building the team in division 6. What's everyone else's views on this? The team that went up from my league last year has really been struggling this season. Is it the wise move to throw any play off game should I qualify? Or should I take the chance of promotion when it comes along? I'm thinking staying down is best for now- but I'd be interested to see what more experienced players think.

One funny moment on the coach back. Not long after leaving Cardiff, a car drives past our coach with two Arsenal supporting girls in. The "big boned" one on the passenger side started making 3-0 signs at our coach with her hands. She got a chorus of "Who ate all the Pies" sung back at her - everytime we went past her car.

After the game we had a serious session around the city, having been on the razz since 0500hrs it was a long time. Ask Leftwinger, he had a great day out.
One of the funniest sights to recall was outside a pub called the slug and lettuce, the Rovers fan that was so drunk he could hardly stand up
Anyone wanna see my dog ?
(its a long tale but a funny one )
Ha Ha. Yes it was a great day. Anyone wanna see my dog? Class.

We are 7-1 to win. Seven to bloody one- it is a two horse race cup tie at a neutral ground, we are the third best team in the league according to the form table and playing an Arsenal side missing Henry and Campbell.
I think that is worth a tenner.
Stick five quid on Pedersen to score first too 12-1
Where are we 7/1? I'm tempted by that. I love being written off though- it makes victory that much sweeter
-
Lets just hope Rovers can pull a similar shock tomorrow. I'd be happy with 6-0 though- don't wanna be greedy
-
I can exlusively reveal that we have sold more tickets.
Ha Ha
-
ALSO- Ryan Nelsen to score the only goal is 350-1. Worth a quid?
On Rovers bet Ryan Nelsen to score first goal in 1-0 win is 490-1!!!...Just imagine it!!!
...we'd be able to afford tickets to the final!
-
Thought that must be a wind up. Thank you God. Still be very hard game- but that's a bonus track.
ALSO- Ryan Nelsen to score the only goal is 350-1. Worth a quid?

Ladbrokes are offering 11/2 on a Rovers win. Possible insurance bet that stands out though. They're offering 5-2 on an Arsenal win with 2 or less goals being scored in total. £20 on that could pay for the day out if it turns out to be disappointing.

Irobnicly, when Souness was managing Benfica, he managed to win his first game against Sporting in Alvalade by 4-1.
How Irobnic!

Good win for you there Big A! Very impressive.

I like it when everyone write us off. Everyone said Spurs would win the Worthington Cup Final- and we proved them wrong. The more people suggest an Arsenal win, the more pressure on them, the less on us.
-
Lawrensen predicting defeat is a bonus. The man's a rag eyed gonk- who usually gets it wrong. Cheers Lawro.

Just speaking to a United fan at work, and he reckoned they still had 500 tickets left on sale on Monday- which were being sold to any members. So they obviously took their time to sell all their tickets- and they've got a lot bigger supporter base than us. We'll just have to make sure we all make the noise of 2 men. And enough about the crowd- as the great Homer Simpson once said:
"When it comes to sporting events, it's not the winning or losing thats important, it's how drunk you get" LEGEND

I'm now coming thanks to 1864 Roverite and a decision to abandon financial sense. Looking forward to it- won't make a prediction, don't wanna tempt fate.
-
wrong time, wrong place, wrong cost.
does that sum it up for everyone?
yes but thats all been said so why sa it again
This is an argument that's gone on and on. Both sides have put their points across, and they keep getting repeated. Everyone seems to have forgotten that there is a game on- who's going to be watching the crowd anyway.

After I've finished paying the mortgage and nursery fees and everything else this month, I think I can just about afford that.
What sort of a fan are you, putting your kids and family before your club? Can't you not feed your kids for a few weeks? Maybe even sell one of them? Of course Rovers should be the only thing in your life!
-
Just shows what they think of the fans
-
I might be wrong about the 17,000 tickets- so dont hold me to that. I was told though by a guy who has been with United that each club gets 17k or so for the final- with the rest going to corporate hospitality. Makes me sick.
-
I WOULD LOVE IT-I MEAN LOVE IT,IF SKY TRANSMISSION OFF THE GAME WENT OFF IN THE LANCASHIRE AREA FOR 90 MINS
I'd love it if your ticket turned out to be a fake that someone had made printed on a cracker
-
Sorry I can't make it
Travelling to Cardiff is too expensive!!
And I have to save some money to get there for the final
Be lucky to get tickets for the final if you don't go to the semi. Been talking to a United fan and he reckons we'd get 17,000 tickets if we got to the final. Assuming we do take 16,000 (approx) on Saturday, that leaves the rest of us scraping the pennies together (and fighting for) the last 1,000 or so tickets.
-
It's not fair to abuse those of us who can't make it. £45 a ticket + £20 to get down per person. I'm sorry we're not going to sell out all our application, but some people simply can't get to the game- and shouldn't be criticised if they've got a genuinely good reason.

We've got a run of fixtures we can get a good few points from- and possibly make the top half. Maybe give the likes of Taylor, Garner, Johnson and Barker a place on the bench for a few games. Give them 20/30 minutes of games just to get a taste.
