  1. Omar Konde (a similarly uselss Rovers signing)

Speaking of Oumar Konde, I was on a quiz machine with some mates the other day. It was a football hang man game, and one of the categories was "Rovers Heroes". We selected Rovers heroes in the thought that I should be able to get it- got a few letters, but still had no idea. Then when we lost it revealed the answer- Oumar Konde. Ha Ha- hero, didn't think he even ever got a first team game.

  2. I won 3-0. Still not ready for promotion though, I think I'll throw the last game. Another crappy youth pull too. Only an inadeqate defender. My brother, who has a solid youth set up (level below me), pulled an 18 year old midfielder with solid playmaking and solid passing with 1500 TSI. I've only had one decent player in the 6/7 weeks i've had an excellent youth team (an excellent defender)

  3. 6.Which international player scored eight goals in his native country (including one for the national side) before being signed by a top Premiership side - yet only netted once after his arrival? He was then sold on to another European side where he failed to score at all before being purchased by a different Premiership side where he only managed to find the net once. He was then off-loaded to his third English team, where he failed to score at all.

    Who is he?

Probably very wrong- but Peter Schmeichel?

  4. He already has. Sort of. Ronny Johnson - did he get a start on the left wing at all? I've heard that Souness likes centre backs playing further forward.

I remember first game of the season- the team was baffling. Matteo in central midfield with Tugay on the bench from the start.

Friedel, Emerton, Amoruso, Short, Gresko, De Pedro, Ferguson, Matteo, Gray, Yorke, Stead

I'm still utterly confused by that team. If anyone else recognised a formation that day please help me. I'd always been a Souness supporter till the shambles that was this starting line up.

  5. A fifth straight league win keeps me top of my league. Don't think I want to go up this season. The team that went up from my division last season has lost every game in the higher division this season. I think I'll need at least one more season in level 6 after this to give me any chance of competing at the next level- so a few strange team selections may be called for in the last games of the season smile.gif . Another season of experience will help too as my players have absolutely pathetic experience.

  6. Said it all for me, it will be all good until he sells Robert to buy 35 year old Neville Strongbottom from Rangers Reserve

*Please note there is no such player as Chunky, I was being sarcastic in regard to the Souness spending habits

Is Neville Strongbottom real then? smile.gif

  7. Anyone got any idea how much the 125th Annivarsairy shirts are worth now? I know there were 1250 made, but thinking many will be in poor condition now. I've got one still with all the labels, in its original bag (never been worn) and in the rovers box they were sold in. Just wondered if it was worth anything now, or will it not be worth much for a long time yet?

  8. Here's my squad. I've put their relevant ratings next to them. GLK - Keeper, DEF- Defending, MID- Playmaking, WNG- Winger STR - Scoring. I've put a star next to the ones that have come through my youth team. I've got about 500k spare to spend on a player. Where is the best area to strengthen? Opinions please.

  9. There was a topic on here a few months back, about a group of Newcastle fans who had started a campaign.

    http://www.souness-out.co.uk/

They had a message board and were trying to get t-shirts made to get Souness the sack. Thought I'd try and go on the site this morning, and its mysteriously disappeared. Wonder if they couldn't afford to keep it going? Perhaps it's more to do with the fact they're in the FA Cup Semi Final, UEFA Cup quarter final, and have won their last 8 matches- or am I just being cynical. laugh.gif

  10. We've only conceded 11 in last 21 games now (12 clean sheets- only Cardiff and Newcastle managed two against us). I had a look, and in the ten games Ryan Nelsens played for us, we've only let in 3 goals (Chelsea, Boro, Burnley).

    LAST 21 GAMES

    P21 W10 D6 L5 F21 A11

    NELSENS 10 GAMES

    P10 W6 D2 L2 F11 A3

OTHER TEAMS LAST 21 GAMES (GOALS AGAINST)

    Man United 9

    ROVERS 11

    Chelsea 12

    Arsenal 18

    Newcastle 18

    Liverpool 21

Without Henry on Saturday, you've got to fancy our chances of getting at least a point out of the game. Hope they're not too tired after a few games close together though.

  11. I'm selling one of the players i've trained up if anyones interested. Just stuck him on the list with no reserve. He's been at formidable level for about 3/4 weeks - his TSI has dropped a little cause his forms dropped.

    Malte Johansson (30978300)

    TSI = 2 310 , 21 years, inadequate form

Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities

    Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous

    Playmaking: formidable Passing: poor

    Winger: wretched Defending: wretched

    Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate

Hoping to use the money raised by selling this guy to contribute towards my saving for a new centre half.

  12. Neil Danns scored twice for Colchester today. Didn't realised he'd gone there permanently. He's scored 9 goals in 27 from midfield now this season. Picked up an impressive 12 yellow cards in that time too. Danns' was another one who looked like he was going to make it, only to never make the break through. Looks to be doing very well in Division 2 though ( i refuse to call it league 1)
