I liked some of his Style Council stuff (the early years) but think his solo stuff started brilliantly, went safe for a few years, then he started using younger musicians and it reinvigorated him and his last 4 albums have been much better. He looks like Steptoe these days though - too many fags and sun loungers!
  23. You a Dylan fan by any chance Gav? lol The Jam - Down in the Tube Station at Midnight. Tony Blackburn played this on the Radio 1 review show 'Round Table' upon its release. He said something along the lines of "I'm sick of these punks singing about violence all the time". It was a phone-in programme where listeners could give their views on the songs. Paul Weller phoned in........
