  4. Julian Cope - Beautiful Love
  5. All true gumboots but whenever they play Lancs they try extra hard, and rightly so. Hope the weather allows for a full game.
  6. That might hurt them more than it hurts us to be fair
  7. The Jam - To Be Someone (Must Be a Wonderful Thing)
  8. The Style Council - My Ever Changing Moods
  9. The Kinks - Shangri La One of the greatest songs ever written, by (in my humble opinion) England's greatest ever songwriter.
  10. Elvis Presley - Heartbreak Hotel
  11. The Action - In My Lonely Room The Jam were untouchable from 78-80. I liked some of his Style Council stuff (the early years) but think his solo stuff started brilliantly, went safe for a few years, then he started using younger musicians and it reinvigorated him and his last 4 albums have been much better. He looks like Steptoe these days though - too many fags and sun loungers!
  12. You a Dylan fan by any chance Gav? lol The Jam - Down in the Tube Station at Midnight. Tony Blackburn played this on the Radio 1 review show 'Round Table' upon its release. He said something along the lines of "I'm sick of these punks singing about violence all the time". It was a phone-in programme where listeners could give their views on the songs. Paul Weller phoned in........
  13. Dexys Midnight Runners - Thankfully Not Living in Yorkshire it Doesn't Apply
  14. I had all but written off Lancashire's T20 season, but looking at the table after last night's game we are actually in with a fair chance of qualifying for the quarter finals now!
  15. Department S - Is Vic There?
  16. The Family - Nothing Compares 2 U
  17. The Jam - Pity Poor Alfie
  18. Thought it was 2 years?
  19. Demis Roussos - Happy to be on an Island in the Sun You wouldn't think so with the way he turned out, but also part of the mod culture in his early days. Also, his mate Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou (Vangelis) ended up making amazing music with our very own Jon Anderson
  20. Maybe because he enjoyed his time here, knows he'll be well regarded by the fans, has had first hand, extended experience of what it's like to be unhappy (and unused) at a club and didn't want to risk experiencing that again at his age? Few players will care about most of the stuff that is bothering us vis a vis owners and board room issues.
  21. The Beatles - Nowhere Man
  22. Roy Orbison - Only the Lonely The most wonderful voice I've ever heard.
