  1. Kegs has ripped through Hants now with a five-fer. Great start to the season for Lanky!!
  2. Ben Harper - Like Gold to Me
  3. The Cookies - Chains (covered by The Beatles and written by the wonderful Goffin/King partnership)
  4. That punch would have knocked most middleweights out, let alone a welterweight.
  5. Two early wickets for Lancs today. Nice to see Michael Vaughan's endoresment has put the hex on Vince, who was run out for 0.
  6. The Beatles - Baby's in Black
  7. An elderly relative of Khan (possibly his gran) was in the ICU at BRI at the same time as my mum a few years ago and we got to know his extended family through countless hours spent in the family room pacing up and down fretting over our desperately ill loved ones. Lovely, unassuming people who were understandably proud of Khan's achievements. They had a better ending to that particular saga than us, fortunately for them, sadly for us.
  8. Neil Young - Pardon my Heart
  9. Ocean Colour Scene - Up on the Down Side
  10. The Style Council - You're the Best Thing
  11. Neil Young - Are You Passionate?
  12. We got 10 today so there must be a chance?
  13. Lancashire going very well again, Somerset 150 for 7 in reply to Lancs' 493 for 9 dec. A quirky stat from the game - which only came to my attention because the Somerset keeper was boldly predicting that they couldn't be bowled out twice so I checked to see whether he was still batting - is that the wicket keeper on each side is called Davies and they got each other out in the first innings.
  14. The Stranglers - Go Buddy Go
  15. Prefab Sprout - Nightingales
  16. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Crawling Back to You
  17. The Undertones - Kiss in the Dark
  18. Really enjoyed this series. Thought some of the scenes in the last 10 minutes were slightly far fetched (e.g. the car chase) but I think it will scoop an award or two. The lad who played 'Dot' Cottan was especially good I thought. I've never seen anyone sip water with such menace and arrogance.
  19. Landscape - Einstein a Go Go
