  1. Thought it was a very poor game on an awful pitch. Despite the late setback Stanley are still in it, but they probably need to get the first goal at the Crown Ground. As an aside, quite what Rangers see in Windass is beyond me. Very naive player.

  11. Two early wickets for Lancs today. Nice to see Michael Vaughan's endoresment has put the hex on Vince, who was run out for 0.

  13. An elderly relative of Khan (possibly his gran) was in the ICU at BRI at the same time as my mum a few years ago and we got to know his extended family through countless hours spent in the family room pacing up and down fretting over our desperately ill loved ones. Lovely, unassuming people who were understandably proud of Khan's achievements. They had a better ending to that particular saga than us, fortunately for them, sadly for us.

  19. Lancashire going very well again, Somerset 150 for 7 in reply to Lancs' 493 for 9 dec. A quirky stat from the game - which only came to my attention because the Somerset keeper was boldly predicting that they couldn't be bowled out twice so I checked to see whether he was still batting - is that the wicket keeper on each side is called Davies and they got each other out in the first innings.
