Jackson now reporting the Wharton injury long term. Add him to Cater and you have to think it was a good thing we sold Dom on deadline day with no replacement lines up. -

We’ve known it for years. We never had the squad depth to overcome fatigue of a congested schedule or a few injuries. Take away 2 starting CB 2 center mids and our first choice keeper, it’s no surprise this is what it looks like. Even in years past when we were “pushing” for promotion our downfall has always been the lack of invest by the owners leaving us with a paper thin squad. -

We’re bringing on Foreshow and I’m guessing that’s not the pace you were asking for? -

Yeah 3 points at home against a bottom 5 side with -11 goal difference. I’m as surprised as you are. -

3 points would go a long way here. Hold on lads! -

So what you’re saying is it’s synonymously constructed. -

X goals don’t account for the ability of the players the opportunity falls to. If you have donkeys with 4 left feet you can’t capitalize big chances. X goals was created for managers to justify their shite play and terrible transfers. -

Death spiral in October…what happens in January then? -

That doesn’t account for our point deduction when Venkys stop paying the bill -

Who are we going to get to replace him? The only people willing to take this job are delusional fools. Bad owners, poor squad, falling apart grounds, rotting fan base. No one can possibly believe the owners are serious anymore. -

It’s true but not spending money guarantees failure -

Sadly, as bad as this is, it’s only getting worse when the congested schedule hits and our thin squad is further exposed. Without a complete overhaul in January we might be mathematically relegated by the end of February -
Between bad luck and a bad squad composition, its hard to see anything but relegation
-
Agree it was never a foul, but shouldn’t matter giving away a free kick 50 yards from goal. The fact no one stood in the ball or recovered was the real undoing.
-
Saving him. This one’s already over
-
That’s the difference. Having the quality players up front to put it away when an opportunity presents itself. We don’t have a player that scores either of those goals.

For all the skill and tactics in modern football, it so frequently comes down to effort and desire. Today we seemed to lack any of that. What’s more troubling is there was no improvement with changes, in fact the substitutes seemed to lower the effort level. If we’re without Carter and now Alebiosu the very predictable shortsightedness of the transfer window is going to come home to roost. And well before the busy festive period most expected. -

We are incredibly soft. Following the lead of our captain. Charlton have been frat to every ball, more physical, faster. It’s been utterly dominant since the first 20 min -

Loads of it. You can see Wharton screaming at him to close down. -

Great strike. Miller doesn’t have the pace to keep up. And Tavares embarrassing attempt to close down Carey. -

Cantwell getting muscled off the ball two times in a row there. Both probably should have been fouls
