I know JDT is gone but I’d much rather be handing him a £20 m+ million transfer budget than Eustace. Not like anyone’s getting that sort of funding but if they were.

There was a time we weee told we had to create our own transfer budget. Since then £26 million in transfer fees + Szmodics fee will have been received. We should have £20 million + to spend. We will be lucky to get £2.6

I’m wondering how good Harry Leonard is given he’ll be playing without Adam’s passes for the first time in his life.
Better than Gally I’m willing to bet

Posh jobs like that are few and far in between.

If we stay up it's job well done, but by god if we don't reinvest the A. Wharton / Raya money in the summer we're going down next season for sure.
There’s 0 chance that moneys available

I think he's your standard Championship manager. The previous guy was much better, but he was far too ambitious for this lot.
A. Wharton aside is a massive caveat considering he was the best player on the pitch most weeks - and evidently continues to be so in the Premier League too.
After Adam left JDT was our best player on the pitch.

I know it's still possible, but I feel we have done enough to stay up.
Unless we somehow manage to keep Sammy (who will not score anywhere near 30 goals) and spend about 10m in the summer I would imagine we will be right back in the mix next season
Sammy is gone in the summer to keep the grass growing at Ewood. No moneys available so what are we looking at for a starting XI?

Going down swinging is how we got into this predicament in the first place.
If JDT had been more pragmatic around Christmas, rather than stubbornly playing suicidal football (sending both his FBs bombing on and getting caught on the break time after time) we wouldn't be discussing Birmingham / Plymouth / Sheffield Wednesday now.
His way of forcing himself out I guess

There’s 81 permutations to next week’s matches involving us, Plymouth, Birmingham and Wednesday.
Only 2 of those 81 end up with us relegated.
The 2 most likely to happen I fear

I disagree.
Eustace is a fine manager - the problem is everyone is comparing him to an excellent manager that literally paid to leave the club. Said excellent manager also had a better squad.
There's also no way he's fired if we get relegated - they don't pay off contracts and he has a 2.5 year one.
If we stay up its job well done! Goal from the CEO was stay up and play the youth. The youth is playing for palace and we stay up by the skin of our teeth. Go down and it’s oh so close to the goal, secured 50 points should be safe…we’ll bounce right back. Sad state really

You'd be crying if we went to 4 at the back and they scored the winner on the break too.
We simply have no pace - you don't change formation there when you're in control.
Sure but had we pushed on and gotten a winner we’d be safe. I think it speaks to the current beliefs or lack there of in the club. Play not to lose cs playing to win.

They’re down to ten men, keep 5 at the back, sound.
What a shithead Eustace is.Was thinking the same. If you can’t keep a clean sheet with a back 4 up a man you don’t deserve to stay up. Make a positive change and get all 3. Days everything about the mentality of the club and the manager.

I'm still amazed we allegedly turned down a £2m offer from Ipswich for him in January.
I was thinking the same. I said this in the first month, Leonard is miles better than Gally and that’s not an endorsement of Leonard.

Absolutely toothless in attack. We deserved nothing more than a draw. Set up for a draw with 5 at the back, made no positive suns when we went up a man and as long as we run Gally out there leading our line we will continue to struggle to score. The only positive is we didn’t score on ourselves
-
Gally is such a poor footballer. Can’t read a play from the wing. Never seems to pick the right run, when he goes for an airial he bumbles into the player, or he just lets players 1/2 his size push him

Cov down to 10.
When you’re a threat to kick it in your own goal from a pass back a man up doesn’t calm the nerves.

Gally, with a terrible touch. Looking like we will need a clean sheet to get a point. Not holding my breath for that

As I say every week, I wish we had a left footed Brittain to play at LB. He's a fantastic player at this level. Pickering stopped every one of our attacks he was involved with. It must be a dream to line up across from him, he runs like he's got a piano on his back.
Brittain all the tools none of the gile
pickering all the gile non of the tools

Yeah true, perhaps I’m being generous and ‘academy bias’ there.
I just really don’t want to be watching Pears, Wahlstedt, Brittain, Hyam, Buckley, Gallagher next season. They’re all so so so soft, and barely, if at all, Championship quality.Their quality shouldn’t be a problem next seeing as they won’t be playing in the championship

If things don’t change dramatically it’s hard to see how we can stay up next season.
We need at minimum 8 quality Permanente signings through the door in the summer. We won’t get it but that’s what’s needed

In all seriousness I can’t name a team in this league I’d fancy us not to lose to at the moment. You need to score goals to get results and apart from Sammi nobody even looks like scoring.
Can young Leonard get a run out again? It’s appalling how bad Gally is every week. In fact I’d rather us run the U 20s + JRC, Sammy, Carter, and Trondstad out there. We’d at worst see some effort

Depending on wages wouldn’t be a terrible deal. He’s better than Buckley/Moran/Garrett who all got lots on minutes in the middle
