Garrett isn’t great but miles ahead of Moran.

Hard to expect players who won’t be here next year to give a shite about relegation.

I thought we'd go down last season.. JDT defied the odds, whilst having more than an ample slice of luck. Our XG was disgusting, we were a complete fluke.. When you remove Kaminski, Brereton, Ayala, Travis out the mix we're gonners.
Anyone that thinks a side that's lost the following and not reinvested, then sold key players from within that have stepped are delusional..
KaminskiNyambe
Lenihan
Ayala
Bell
Rothwell
Wharton
Brereton
Armstrong
Contrast the quality there with the shite we have left and it all becomes clear.. BAAAAAAD side. I'd be shocked if we stayed up.
Eustace has come in his new manager bounce has been what? When Coyle was here we put a good show on against Utd at home in the FA cup- still went down and we had much more quality then than we do now..
In deep shit, I fear for the club if we go down this season. Shocking state of affairs but it was long on the cards.Add Travis who was loaned out and I’d take that 10 over any 11 still at the club.

Moran should never put the shirt on again.

All year we’ve been so inept with the opportunities we create.

Gallagher has disrupted three or four promising moves today by being extremely poor. There is no recognised striker in the bench.
What happened to Harry Leonard?

Dolan has played well..why sub him?.
He’s been ok, but squandered our best opportunity

Would go 4-4-2 second half.
Sigurdsson and Garrett on for McFadzean and Moran off.
Put Dolan wide right and Sigurdsson wide left with Gallagher and Szmodics up front
I’d like to see Gilsenan on for Dolan, or maybe for Moran and have Buckley play deeper.

Gifting goals continue to be out season theme. Since JDT left (with the noted exception of Newcastle) we’ve been sloppy in possession and unable to put together 3 passes.

Great chance for Dolan there
Has to score there. The fact the keeper caught it from 6 yards out shows how week of an attempt it was.

Moran can fuck off. Why he gets minutes is beyond me

I’m not sure if this has already been mentioned but I thought many of our younger, technical players shone last night as a result of playing a Premier League team that wasn’t packed full of gnarly Championship shithouses….in other words, that type of performance will not pass muster in our division given the higher levels of physicality. Watching Bucko, Moran and latterly Ayari and Markandy put in fantastic showings I’m sure, was down to Newcastle allowing them to play their natural games. Swansea on Saturday will be a very different test. I vacated the JW last night and sat (or should I say stood) in the Blackburn End for the first time in years…and I’m glad I did! A brilliant atmosphere and a very hoarse voice this morning.
I was thinking the same. Championship is full of older, less technically gifted players that boss around our younger players. Shame really as the kids can play when not busy getting pummeled by the thugs

In case you missed it. Blue and White through and through. Two Dingles in one tackle!

I thought Buckley was an improvement from Garrett and Moran in the middle. Not Wharton but much better. SG work rate is undeniable, but his touch and lack of anticipation limits his chances to score. Szmodics, Dolan, Siggy are struggling to find a way to play off SG and are much less effective they’re asked to win possession from 50:50s which isn’t their strong suit.
The biggest change I see is the keeper has been instructed not to fook around with all the passing in our box. Being just a bit less suicidal in December and January and we’d be well clear from relegation.
I recall at the beginning of the season when there was speculation JDT could leave GB mentioning the style we would like to play being the same under a different manager. Didn’t he say we had a list of managers who would continue the “new project”? Seems like either by design, lack of transfer funds, change in manager or necessity to stay up we’ve certainly changed the style when JDT was shown the door.

We weren't scoring when we were trying to pass through the middle either, so f*** knows what we are to do. Just got to get hard to beat and keep working on it.
We weren’t scoring but we’re creating and yielding many more chances. One thing for sure, for a neutral, the matches were more entertaining under JDT.

It doesn't suit Sammy or Tronstad and makes Dolan and Siggy look more useless than they really are. It doesn't do Moran any favours either.
Moran does himself no favors. Thought Buckley was better than him and that includes the foul for their goal. Moran wouldn’t have fouled him only because he wouldn’t have attempted to get in a tackle

Can’t help but feel the pendulum has swung too far in the conservative direction since JDT left. Lots of balls hoofed forward in the direction of the front three. Midfield playing negative.
if this is our style for next year we should sell Sammy in the summer. The style doesn’t suit him and his value will drop the longer he plays in it.

I don’t know why we bother pressing if the times we knick it off them in the final 3rd we play it back to pears to lump it forward.

We could do with a player like that....
Wonder what it would take to sign him? 😥.

It's more a case that the people who wanted Pears out of the team in the first place, aren't having him under any circumstances and won't accept that as ordinary as he is he's still a considerable upgrade on woeful Wahlstedt.
Can't see that Pears has done a great deal wrong since coming back in. Wahlstedt was costing us a minimum of one and often two goals every game.

He definitely isn't, very few are, but he's worth a lot more than the £1 million, or even £2 million some wanted to accept.
He’s a free transfer in 14 months. Why sign an extension now, when he can get more next summer. Another player waking for free

Take the point I guess as they will be hard to come by if we continue to play like we have for the past fortnight

Playing much better but it’s going to be difficult to score playing long balls and high crosses into the box.
