Just about to post this.
""FootballTransfers understands that the club is aware of the situation and is awaiting the outcome of an appeal, which will be heard over the weekend.""
If our track record with appeals hold, this deal is dead in the waterIf this is true it’s no wonder JDT wasn’t permitted to speak to the media yesterday. He’d certainly be asked about McGuire being the only decent bit of business out of the widow and would he say, “The club I work for is a complete mental institution. Can’t trust a word I’m told and it’s run by incompetent fools”.

"Make your own transfer budget."
"Really?"
"Yes. No money incoming from the owners."
"Oooh here's £18m"
"That's theirs too."
"Ennis to Stoke, £500k""Running costs!"
It goes back to day one Venkys took over. “Beckham and Ronaldinho incoming” might have been the first.

I assumed that was all done and dusted, at least the loan til the end of the season? What has happened there?
On the match was there much boos or reaction from the crowd afterwards? The chants against Waggott and Venkys are encouraging. As far as relegation goes, we are goosed as far as I am concerned. People saying that we will be ok this year but will struggle next year, but we are in freefall and too much of the season is still to play for. Right now we look like a total wet blanket that will roll over at the first hint of pressure.
it’s unbelievable this could even be happening again -

Not listed in the squad today, clearance not yet approved. Jackson stating yesterday no international clearance then in a deleted tweet before kick off the deal is dead, with more info after the match

If Jackson is to believed we should soon know more about how the McGuire loan has somehow fallen apart

This team is much worse than the side relegated to league 17

He set his stall out from the beginning. The aim is to stay up and develop players.
I watched a Rovers B team masquerading as the first team today.
We’ve banked money at the cost of a relegation battle.
Develop players for who? We don’t own any of these kids out there so what’s the point

Not a very encouraging performance to stay up. Make no mistake QPR is about as poor a side as we will play and they’d been the far better side.

I actually think we started the second half fairly well. Or, in the very least, looked better than we did in the first half.
We attack with 8 and can’t create a half decent chance. They attack with4 on the break and look dangerous every time.

We’re shit!

Deserved goal. They’ve been the better side and created the best chances. League 1 coming.

Gally looked much better when playing against league 2 opponents

It takes 1 pass to be racing in on our goal. We have to connect 20 to get a 1/2 chance

There’s such a stark contrast between the tight space and numbers going forward in our attacks vs the 2v2 and 3v3 in 1/2 the pitch when we’re defending.

Moran in Wharton’s role but not the player Wharton is. Gives it away too much

Formation?
Seems like a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. Moran and Trondstad in the middle. Sammy and SG furthest forward. Siggy and Dolan wide

Started bright, missed a huge chance and now seem too open at the back. Same old story.
-
Should have scored there. To miss the target is very poor.

Could you imagine taking pride in your work and reputation while working for these owners? The only way you could say is if you just saw this as a job to pay the bills. The stench of the owners decisions would taint your reputation for years.

In fairness I'd say Greggs list starts off with some degree of ambition, and gets chipped away to the above
Probably while the first choice is on a flight to sign cobtract

He isn’t manager he’s been relieved of his duties along with his assistant following tomm game. JDT agreed to take the team for the game and signed a none disclosure agreement to keep quiet about the financial issues at Rovers.

Who the fook would show up for “one more game”. Coyle I guess but F me. If someone told me such shite I’d bigger off right then and there.

Here’s my working theory. JDT clearly not impressed with the window or the direction the owners are taking the club. Decides he needs to take a day to reflect and consider if he wants to move on. Tellls the club such, and isn’t in the building today. Media are going to want to talk to the coach but instead of saying JDT is contemplating his future with the club and not here today, they try and save face by “blocking” access to him and make up some bollocks about wanting the new players to get the media attention instead.

seems very likely the McGuire deal has been fecked by the owners.
