Fleck is 32 and the Coventry loanee 37 so you have to say the need for some experience in the squad has been addressed. Fleck's arrival should mean JRC can stay on the right flank, where he is best. Wharton has gone but add in the American lad and getting money for Ennis and the window could have been worse.
Let's see how it goes
It’s clear the goal is to stay up, fill the holes until summer when the illusive funds become available.

He's only 22 so there's room to develop him.
For his next club.
And Leonard is only 19. Both might be great but neither is proven. Leonard has at least scored one goal in Europe. Again might be great but proven he is not

I can’t believe another championship club has paid £500k+ for Niall Ennis.
Maybe they also confused him with another player?

Ennis would have had a signing on bonus so I doubt we’ve even broke even on that deal.
Sunk costs. Cut the losses while you can

From the BBC
Said Benrahma's loan move from West Ham to Lyon has collapsed.
They say everything had been agreed but West Ham forgot to enter information in Fifa's transfer software.
Does Broughton work for West Ham too?
Would explain our crap widow if he was working there too

Happy to get Duncan in but if anyone thinks he’s the “proven goal scorer” JDT has been asking for they should get their head examined.

It’s very possible for Wharton both to be gutted to leave the club he supports and excited to advance his career at the same time sadly those two things go together as becoming a premier league player doesn’t seem feasible at Rovers

This is code for, this deal isn't happening.
Really too bad they didn’t have any time to sort this out over the last, I don’t know, 30 days? FFS it’s like it’s a surprise about the work permit and contracts.

Sounds like O'Brien part 2. I guess we'll see if anyone at Rovers learned anything from last year.
Highly doubtful

It's on the owners nobody else.
Do you honestly think GB is negotiating deals if he doesn't think the money will be forthcoming.?
Like the summer wasting his time pursuing players only for the owners to change what he can do.
It's on our shit owners again.
What a shitty job. No one likes doing a bunch of work for nothing.

If it's a loan with option to buy then it still ties in with the info that we have zero money to spend on permanent fees. For whatever reason it's alright to spend £500k on a loan fee for four months though 🤷♂️ if we assume the ITK tidbits to be more or less accurate then we basically cancelled the permanent deal last night, renegotiated this morning for a loan-to-buy which Orlando accepted on the basis £500k over 4 months is a decent enough deal, and if we make it permanent (we won't, but if) then they get more than they would have initially. One would surmise from this that they are quite desperate to get McGuire off their books to do other business, otherwise they would have just said "lol, no thanks" and if no better offer was forthcoming asked him to return.
He made $67,000 last year and is slated to be their starting number 9. Can’t imagine theyre in any rush to get him off the books. Rather the mls season starts in a month so they miss him for 3 months and get him experience and pocket $750,000 in the process

Why are we wasting money on a bang average striker from the mls anyway? Will he be any better than Gallagher doubt it.
He’ll be on wages 1/5 Gally so easier to push Gally out and continue to cut the wage bill

We will probably call it off mid way through the physical. Hopefully before the rubber gloves

No body else seem to think it's quite funny that everything now seems to be 'back on' with McGuire since shortly after that Orlando City guy posted a brief history of Venky's reign?
Venky's being shamed across the US, that won't have gone down too well I imagine.
I thought it was brilliant, but we need to make sure that, even if the transfer is completed, all that stuff just doesn't disappear.
Apparently the only people not getting paid are those playing for Orlando

Never been more down on the club than this moment. Worse than relegation to league 1. Hope the next 15 hours or so can change things but at the current moment I’m left questioning why I even support the club and why I’m letting my son a follow as a supporter. Certainly not the club i fell in love with in the 90s

Maybe Venkys are trying to make sure that the Wharton transfer gets done as late as possible so that they can trick some stupid happy clappers that they tried to strengthen the team but unfortunately there wasn't enough time. The money will of course not be available in the summer.
I think they’re trying to prove just how wretched they can be. The club means nothing to them, it’s certainly not an accolade. It feels as though this must be on purpose

If Broughton doesn’t walk after this he’s complicit. If JDT doesn’t walk he’s a fool.

They’re not going bankrupt. Even if they did it would be reorganized debt. The fact we could fork out £2.3 million and wages for a lad who’s currently in less than £1,000/wk after selling a local for £22,000,000 is all that’s needed to know. They don’t care about the club. They likely are doing this for fun due to the reaction when they took over. Much more likely it’s rich being petty than their inability
