I would really prefer that the owners and Waggott were honest. At the start of a transfer window just state the club can’t buy regardless of sales instead of this pretence. This was deliberate no question. Sell a major asset and pretend to spend some of the generated cash. Can’t they all just f€@k off. Let someone with an interest buy and run the club. Then at least we can give the football side of the club a chance. Gutted this is happening to our club and that there is nothing to stop them.
    Just sell you assholes!

I’m sure the recruitment department, coach and players feel the same way.

What a total shit show! 🙄

From top to bottom. It starts with the owners telling staff one thing, “funds are only available through sales, create your own budget”. Then after funds come in and targets identified, deals agreed pull the rug. But it doesn’t stop there. As there still no excuse once a different deal is agreed and signed the club can’t send in the paperwork in time.

The end result is there’s no accountability from top to bottom and it shows in everything from recruitment to play in the field.

Anyone who genuinely thinks the above just must be...

In an ideal world you convince all fans to boycott every single game until the end of the season and starve them out, but I still think their stubbornness would see them clinging on!

I’m convinced that there’s a percentage of accounts on all social that are run by paid actors. You see it on political posts, sports team. Likely hired by pr firms to help balance the conversation.

It's the responsibility of Ian Sylvester. No questions there.

Whether he will be head to roll or whether the blame will be forced onto Broughton is the question.

It goes all the way up the ladder. Any other organization outside football would have sacked people last year and this year the board would be asking for the resignation of the ceo and the director

Just a minor update... And one that has blown my mind.

Some of the forms needed to register McGuire were lying on top of the fax machine and hadn't been sent. Whether these were visa, international clearance/registration I do not know. The club sent all relevant forms to the EFL and went ahead with the announcement. It wasn't until hours later that this was discovered thus creating the mess we are now in.

I wish it was satire. An incredibly embarrassing situation that has created a whole host of finger-pointing and infighting. Heads will roll, it's just unclear which buffoon will be made the scapegoat.

    Orlando tweeted in response.

Pretty sure GB said no one had ever won the appeal before (following the O'Brien fiasco) so it would seem totally pointless appealing this when it inevitably gets rejected. Although the situations are slightly different, an appeal just pointlessly drags it out in some horrifically cringe inducing manner.

It also seemed to drag out months and by the time us was settled there’s only be a handful of games left

  7. Hard to believe there are still Venkys sympathizers out there. Read one on FB saying no one was saying “Venkys Out” when the club was paying million for Szmodics and Hyam.  Went on to ask what position the club would be in if Venkys sold and then called the debt due.

Bottom line is Venkys can’t sell the call the debt as no one would acquire with the current debt outstanding. Venkys would have to write off the debt or a portion of it as uncollected in order for a buyer to step up.

Yes they are asked to do that, That's how JDT wants to play

I think that’s the biggest change he can make. We don’t have the players for that currently. Maybe when our first choice backs were fit, and Wharton was here.  Also when Carter is a CB there’s more pace. We concede possession too easily and in the wrong moments which leaves us exposed. Unfortunately our backs in the attack are how we create most of our chances so it’ll probably come at a cost.

  9. I’ve just about had it with the “where would you be without the owners putting £20,000,000 pounds in a year” group. I don’t think they should get credit for doing the minimally required responsibility of ownership, paying the bills. Any owner would have to do that. Good owners pay the bills and run the organization in a way to drive value and achieve the companies mission.

Or JRC on the right and Chrisene on the left?

What wrong with the system we play which is 4-2-3-1 formation? What would you change?

I don’t think it’s a problem with formation but philosophy. Our wing backs seem to be instructed to get into the attacks, without the center miss sliding into cover. The result is we’re often 2 v 2 at the back on the counter. Additionally we are poor at closing down dangerous opportunities at or near the top of our box. The attitude of the side seems very attacking but it leaves us exposed on the counter.

JDT in his post match press conference as open and honest with the fans as he can been. He is very ambitious and he wants to get this club back to the PL and stay there. No didn't come here to be lower mid table championship head coach.

Sadly there is no ambition from those above apart from GB about getting back to the PL

And the project he signed up for is clearly not what he’s experiencing. Shame really. Seems the owners treat coaches, dof and payers on trans Atlantic flights the same.

Any other quotes? Where can we watch what he says? Any link to the BBC twitter video ?

Reports emerged on Saturday have claimed there is an issue with Duncan McGuire's move to Blackburn Rovers. It's stated that there is an issue with the documentation and the deal is hanging in the balance.

The Lancashire Telegraph understands there is truth behind those claims. Rovers were approached for comment and say there will be further developments in the next 48 hours to hopefully clarify the situation.

McGuire was unveiled by the club at 11pm on deadline day but was ruled out against QPR with the club awaiting international clearance and visa checks, which is common practice.

When asked about the issue, Tomasson said questions should be directed at the Blackburn Rovers board.

"What should I say about Duncan McGuire? The Duncan McGuire case. I am not allowed to speak about that case. You should ask Steve and Suhail about that case.

"I think you should ask Steve, Suhail and the ownership about the Duncan McGuire case."
