Take that back, go wash your mouth out and then go and take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror

    :)

If you watch how we play, Mulgrew is essentially our quarter back. Every play starts from or goes through him at some point.  He needs a tough, physical ,no nonsense player beside him. I think Lenihan can fill that role

I like Mulgrew, Christ I grew up in the same village as him and often see him kicking about when he is back home but it’s not to say I can’t see weaknesses. He loses concentration, can get done for pace and at times can get turned too easily. All the reason for making him the def midfielder he played his career elsewhere at. Again not saying I’m unhappy with his name on the team sheet but likely to be his last season here and if an opportunity came by like elphick I would take it personally

  2. Elphick would be a very good signing and a better option than Mulgrew imo who is always prone to the odd mistake. Not that I don’t rate Mulgrew but he is a converted cb, would like one of our backs to be and out and out defender personally. Not a disaster if we don’t tho.

hart has never been good enough, with all the talk that the team do loads of research on signings I’m not sure what they ever seen in hart worth gambling on

  3. Nothing is wrong with Brereton , stop looking for faults, enjoy the moment, positive start to campaign and despite a slow start with transfers it’s shaping up very nicely. Iv been a big doubter if mowbray in the past but he is starting to get me excited as to where this project could finish, love the blueprint with young hungry team assembled

Where is the evidence that Rodwell can cut it in this league?

Don’t be costing 38 million in transfer fees if there wasn’t something about you that people liked. I’m not saying he would pull of trees these days but I’d be happy to give him a chance. Smallwood has never played or succeeded at this level

I’d say that Travis and Davenport are to go out on loan. Expect possibly Harrison and Rodwell today...would be happy with that.

Nah don’t agree with that, Davenport has just signed and by all accounts can hold his own in the division. I’d keep Travis for athleticism and versatility. If nyambe gets injured I’d want Travis there. As much as Rodwell would be a gamble I’d rather him in the mid than Smallwood who has shows he can’t cut it at this level

  6. No issues with splashing the cash as long as there is enough to go round and cover other areas. If we are blowing the whole lot on one lad tho I would be a bit miffed as there has been other deals done over summer that look a bit better value for money. In saying that, I don’t know a lot about Brereton, I’d be lying to say that I’d heard of him prior to deadline move but I’d be excited to see him in a rovers shirt and see what he is about and it’s a blessing that rovers are back in the champ with this kind of money to spend after the dark uncertain times of being relegated and looking like we were on a massive slide with no end in sight.
