Lennie and Dave May used to live in digs as youth players on nuttall street and they used to collect me from home (on nuttall street) and take me to Darwen Vale for Centre of Excellence training around 1988-89 . Great times, learnt a lot.

Must win game (again). We simply have to be winning home games against other minnows if we want to avoid being in a relegation fight.
Simmer down mate. QPR look doomed, Rotherham are cack and hull look poor. We should be looking to top half at least.

Can’t understand how we are not looking at Scott Hogan.

What about Davenport. Not seen him yet? Does he have any bite?
No. Bit lightweight.

That Brereton is a cracking player and I'd be made up if he ended up here.

Expecting it to be Sam Gallagher

Shouldn't the change kit be a different colour to the first kit?

It's all a con any way. Nobody cares about women's football as the gates tell you. Equality again going crazy.

I can’t say I’m desperate to get Brereton only because I’d never heard of him till Thursday so would be a little hypocritical to act desperate to get him now.
Gallagher was decent last time round not great, problem is he got shorter when he jumped
That Brereton looks a player to me .....
I have an issue with Gallagher not being here last season on loan to put things right. He played a part in our demise...and now he wants to come back. Not for me...shocking in a couple of the important games in our relegation fight....

I think the disappointing thing about the latter end of this transfer window for me is seeing the likes of Ipswich Town and Wigan Athletic making tidy squad depth enhancing signings.
Some really good players have been signed.
I know it's not really Mowbray's job to settle fans nerves. But a couple of carefully chosen loans with a view to sign permanently could really do a lot for fan confidence over the next week!
Also might be worth taking a look at the Free Agents available. Jack Rodwell, Robert Huth, Jan Kirchhoff and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas are all without a club. Maybe worth a trial and short term deal to offer a longer one?
Thoughts?I'd take that Kirchoff if he's fit. Quality player

Personally, I'm happy we are not adding to the debt and risking another transfer ban by spending beyond our means.
An ill-inforned post designed to wind people up.
Either you don't know what you are talking about or you are on the wind up.

Wigan have sold Max Power to Sunderland. I thought he was one of their better players last season. Strange
And Dan burn to Brighton I think

Very good signing. Would have been ideal for us.
He's no good. Another daddy's boy who would never have made it without daddy touting him to his mates

I'd be happy with him. Good set piece nice feet....not super quick but decent

He plays most games at Celtic and loves it up there, not a hope in hell.
Didn't start in champions league last night and hasn't featured much.
He'd come here if we tried

If try and get Scott Sinclair on loan. Doesn't seem to start at Celtic and I think he's decent and could do great at this level.

Don't get the Freeman link. One decent season in his career to date - doesn't strike me as being anything special. Left Bristol for £350k so they can't have rated him much.
If it's Luke Freeman then I'd be happy. Like a young Conway with quality. I've followed his career since starting out at arsenal as a young lad.
We could do worse

Not sure i buy that, especially with Evans & Samuel, they weren't key players last season.
If we go into this season scared to replace a couple of the weak links with better players because of "team spirit" then we will deserve to struggle, that would be really weak management.
I don't think you understand management sorry. Tony should drop them because they are "weak" ? They've both done nothing wrong as of the beginning of yesterday's game except help us to promotion at the first time of asking.
I'm the first one to think Williams , Samel and Evans won't be playing as much this season but TM has to manage the situation with the dressing room too.

Tony would definitely got the groundsman to keep it long. Brentford play an obvious brand if football so I think it's deliberate.
