Signing a midfielder to replace a centre back would seem to be a slight misstep on Crewe's part 😉
In that they may already have someone there to replace oriordan.....freeeing up the wage bill to bring in young Lewis.

I'm also pleased to see that we're trying to find a way to structure the 500k deal for a unproven player to ensure our finances aren't going to bite us in the backside in the future, especially when we're constantly having one eye on the FFP line.
Crewe won't have that, 10k here and there...how are they going to replace him or that basis. Joke our club. Crewe have taken young Lewis Leigh from the nobbers on loan, maybe he's the replacement.
Strikes me as low class trying to spread 500k
-
Hill going back and no replacement sorted. When you are trying to spread 500k for a lower leagues prize asset you are taking the.piss....clubs gone.
I bet we don't replace Hill in the end.

Why what young full back do we have that is ready this season to challenge Pickering?
Every single championship side signs young players on loan from Premier league clubs.
Ye but what's the point in our multi million pound academy which is apparently the dogs bollox? Surely it's producing 19 year old left backs.....🤷♂️

Not that you're obsessed or anything, having brought him up twice without prompting.
Want him in mate. Just what we need. You should know that by the way he's rag dolled our midfield the last 2 times we played them, scoring and assisting....what more?

I would agree that if we sell Travis, he needs to be replaced with another midfielder (either box to box or a deeper laying player to allow Wharton to operate further forwards) due to the injuries to Buckley and JRC for the rest of the season
Nobbers best midfielder is free at the end of the season, deep lying allowing young Adam to crack on....

Buckley or JRC could replace him or we could add someone like Herbie Kane from Barnsley who would add quality to this squad
There's only one replacement for Travis. Free aswell at the end of the season😉🤣

He flew into a challenge for our second goal yesterday - I wouldn't call that putting your health at risk. You are doing him a massive disservice by insinuating he hasn't been committed. In fact if we had a player of the half season award he would be in the frame.
Insinuating? Bloody obvious I'd say.

So he's fallen off because he's wanted to go back to Bournemouth?
If you knew that you had a great opportunity to play Premier league football would you put your health at risk....? It's like if you are working your notice, do you put the same effort in for the last month,?

I’m not arguing with you here, I actually said a few months ago he had been our best signing of the season so far….
Just letting you know why he's fallen off...
Happy new year.

No kidding.
Players don't become poor overnight. The lad is class at this level, we aren't

Please provide me with one then?
He’s had some very good games where I praised him to high heaven and some stinkers.
He decided to go back weeks ago and he didn't want to get injured. Big few months ahead for young James. We are a basket case.

Maybe the club knew we would lose Hill and decided to sign the Crewe defender as a replacement. Short term I'd image he won't be as good as Hill, long term better for the club as we would be developing one of our own players.
Club knew Hill was going weeks ago

The lad clearly has a fair bit of talent, when he’s bang on form, but unfortunately for us, that’s not been for a little while now….
Not a clue

I imagine because the players are in a position to cross and that's their only option?
If you think crossing the ball in a football game is the problem then let's just agree to disagree on where the problems lie.
I'm saying it is if we don't have anyone to convert them.

He was good as a makeshift RB - clearly he's not a commanding CB as he's lost both aerial challenges for their goals today. I guess it's why he's out on loan, to learn, but it's frustrating.
He's a versatile quality defender in this league....unfortunately managed by a clown

There's been crosses going into the box and no one on the end of them, because we have no notable strikers. Goalie poor again. Why are crosses going in the box then?

Hold on? He's been at fault for both goals. Did you not teach him how to win a header?
Ha , weren't moaning when he set up the 2nd like...🤦♂️

Stunningly poor. Hill again.
Hold on, yes he should have won the header, but crikey, so passive our full back allowing the cross...not a challenge or anything. Shit.

Broughton has managed to sign a goal keeper who does nothing but cost us goals and signed strikers who never score. The bloke is dreadfully out of his depth.
The goalie and GB are out of their depth.

Hill has been poor since he got back in, and slow.
Interesting that JDT cannot get the best out of him now....quality player when playing with decent lads. He's surrounded with crap.
